This Is the Strongest Animal in the World
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Is it an elephant? Is it a bear? Is it a gorilla? No! It’s… a dung beetle?
Wait, what? Yes. Dung beetles are the strongest creatures in the world. If you’re thinking this must be a mistake, these tiny beetles that roll giant balls of animal poop, can move over 1,100 times their body weight! For a creature that is an average of 1.3 cm (0.5 in) to 6.3 cm (2.5 in) long and weighs around 100 g (3.5 oz), that is quite a feat.
That’s the equivalent of you pulling two fully-loaded 18-wheeler trucks.
So why do these insects spend their days rolling poop balls? What benefits does dung have for them? And why were dung beetles sacred to the ancient Egyptians?

This was a beautiful video! There's a bit of misinformation though. Dung beetles don't live in a colony in the sense that ants or bees do! There is no division of labor, no distribution of roles. The dwellers aren't in charge of breeding. The tunnelers aren't in charge of forming a complex tunnel system. Because the beetles are finding the same dung pile, there is some social aspect, but at most, different species of dung beetles just find the same pile of dung and do different things to it as a result of specialization. They may interact with each other by stealing or indirectly aiding. The terms Tunneler, Dweller, and Roller were used by some scientists to categorize dung beetle species by their behavior. And the terms have continued to be used.
I loved reading about Egyptian scarab amulet as a kid. They're fascinating!
Something has to eat the poop 😂

That's the most hardiest animal. Nearly indestructible. But not strong.
Hercules Beetle: We are the strongest insects! Dung Beetle: Are you sure about that? 😏 Hercules Beetle: How much can you lift? Dung Beetle: I can pull over 1,000 times my bodyweight. 😌 Hercules Beetle: Cool. How much can you lift? Dung Beetle: ... 😐 Hercules Beetle: Exactly. 😏

Congratulations on first comment. 👍🤗
Why are they kinda cute
I don't trust this. This video says that bettle is 100 grams and can lift 1000 times its bodyweight, so that means it can lift 100 000 grams = 100 kilograms? Bullshit.
I knew it, that's why Coffee Bon-Bons taste like S#@T!!! 🤢
