Ben, i think you'd kill it if you did some more in depth instructional videos. Swing mechanics (what a healthy swing looks like), chipping, bump and runs, flop shots, flighted high/low, spin management, putting mechanics/routine, green reading, grain, course management, you have a whole series you could crush it on. This video specifically, though short and very high level/basic, really showed your professional presentation skills, good stuff. Hope you will consider it, people are yearning for this stuff from people they 'know' and can relate to.

If you haven’t yet, I would also strongly recommend checking out the Decade system. I’m a weekend warrior who regularly was shooting in the mid 90s and now shoot consistently around 80 to 85 without changing any part of my game except my course management that I learned from Decade, even if you’re not trying to go pro if you just wanna try to beat your buddies on the weekend, it’s highly worth it.

One of my favorite golf content creators and from what I’ve seen it’s usually high level golfers that never tried to go pro or former pros that start content. But I think it’s cool to see you putting effort to back from content to getting back that pro level. Good luck to you. Bring back the challenge matches please

Ben where I agree the driver is important. Scoring is done with the wedges. Scott faucet built decade based off Bob Rotellas book “golf is not a game of perfect”. I went through decade first but then going through bobs work which is much older than Scott’s it’s almost laughable how everything is just bobs thoughts regurgitated. Yes driver gets you closer to the hole than a three wood getting wedges in your hands. But wedges make birdies and wedges save pars. Love your wedges and love your putter! Bob Rotella 101

Great video! I've been on the drive > putting train for a while now. Not much can go wrong if you are consistently keeping it in play and having good looks at greens. Bumpy public course greens add so much randomness as well.

Thanks for the tip of hitting one shot shape with driver. I predominantly draw the ball with my irons, and therefore seem to want to fight a fade that I hit with driver only. Now I don’t feel like I’m doing something wrong, your video was simple , straightforward and easy to understand. Thanks !

I was thinking it would be amazing for you to film on some lesser known municipal or private courses on the east coast and adding your two cents about golf technique along the way. None of the content creators are really doing that. So please come on out to Baltimore area sometime.

Premature like on the vid & thanks in advance. Perhaps an iron compression vid at some point in the future? Know it’s heavily reliant on rotation which is something I’ve been struggling with in the upper half. Pipe them but arms get too involved which seems to lead to inconsistent ball flight

For amateur golfers, I think all this swing instruction is overkill except for college and pro golfers. Better to relentlessly teach duffers to keep their eye on the ball until the club impacts the ball. I see so many errant shots by duffers pulling their head. I remember seeing a video sometime ago where a former college golfer was trying to teach his girlfriend how to swing a club using a four-step method he repeated to her a few times. When she finally went to swing at the ball while trying to follow the routine, she suddenly stopped midway, then told him she thought she skipped Step 2 or Step 3, but wasn't sure which one. So funny! 😀

Genuine thought here - I would have thought the more back of my stance i played the ball the more of a fade shape i would hit as i would assume the club face is more open. And vice versa with the ball further forward. So you're saying its just the opposite, yeah ?

Depends on your setup. Ideally the face will be pointing at the target, so open to the arc. If you shut it down during the swing then yes, ball will go left
