I love that she's started doing her videos on this set up. She shows herself a lot more and I think that helps me better understand how to do certain things that I don't know how to do yet,like how to do my right hand

Seriously!!! I think *Evie* and *TLC (Ten Little Canvases)* are easily the _MOST TALENTED_ nail artists on this platform...but neither are “trained nail techs” and both are self-taught!! They’re living proof that passion, practice & natural talent is all you need to be an amazing artist! ❤️

A lot of the Amazon kits she tries are under $50/60 and some even lower(the prices can fluctuate so watch them). If you do short-medium nails it will last quite a while. I realize everyone’s budgets are different but you should definitely keep an eye out, the affordable kits out there now a days are pretty good quality. Plus if Evie has a video on it you can see how it preforms before you buy. You do not need expensive name brands kits, I love my Amazon purchase. I hope you get to try one, one day!

I just started playing with my nails this last year (one day I literally just quit biting my nails without intending to...it was really weird.) Now I’m having a BLAST having nails for the first time in 35 years!😁 But I seriously didn’t even own a bottle of clear polish when this happened and I’ve been slowly buying supplies (on a budget) ever since!! *(Now I’m done with that boring intro...)* I have got almost ALL of my supplies (from amazon)-but I stumbled across a “discount code app” called *VIPON.* It’s has codes from small or new companies that are wanting to build up *”reviews”* on their amazon shops/products. The codes change often (the businesses get to decide how long they want to offer the codes and the typical time seems to be 1-2 weeks)...so I check back on the app like once a week or so, to see if there’s a bargain I can’t pass up! But to give you an idea of what you can find, this is what I first got to start playing with my nails...not at the same time- which made it even easier to budget! *Full Sized SUN X-5 MAX120w lamp, with 4 timer settings* = $18.00 *Mtssii polygel kit (3 one ounce bottles of Polygel, a brush, 20 pack of dual forms, slip solution, 5 different colors of 18ml gel polishes, base/top coat, a coarse file and a fine buffer file)* =$10. The ONLY thing that might not help - is if you don’t have an amazon *prime account* and you have to pay for shipping. Some things are a good enough price that it doesn’t matter... but many times, if I didn’t have the “free shipping” I definitely wouldn’t have bought the stuff. 🤷‍♀️ I’m sorry this is an insanely long comment, but if anyone thinks they *”can’t afford to do nails”* ...and this information somehow helps someone get over that *price barrier* and start- it’s more than worth the like ....hour or so I spent typing this suuuper long comment up on my phone. 😆❤️

Hi Evie, I just want to say how proud I am of your success. I started watching you a few years back and figured since I am doing my own nails why not check into someone I was familiar with. It was a pleasure to see how much you have evolved in creativity and professionalism. I watched this video the day you posted and ordered the same day. I did get the kit and was very surprised at price and content. Thank you for the tutorial.

When you apply foil, start from one side edge, use a tool (wood pusher can do it), as you rub the transfer, lift gently to ensure transfer, then the middle of the nail, then other sidewall of nail. By splitting in three sections, you get better transference without the dreaded wrinkles and empty sections.

In my opinion Makartt has the best foil gel, you must didn’t rub them long enough, but I also have a hard time with nail foils

That's the one thing about polygel I can't stand is the stickiness, lol. I've started keeping a cereal sized bowl next to me with alcohol just to dip my hand it when stuff starts getting too sticky. Loved this set, it's so pretty!!

I love that you put your slip in the view, I always wish I could see how often/the technique people use when wetting their brush!

I use the stiletto dual forms, but I don’t put the forms near my cuticles (if that makes sense). I will usually leave a gap and then fill it myself so that it fits my nail shape.

I'm new here. My mom has been doing nails for 30+ yrs and I'm on here trying to find new techniques for her to utilize. Customers aren't going for plain acrylic anymore unless they are older clients. Learning so much here.🌸

{{Aaahhhhh! Those nails are so *CUTE!}}* Ok, so here’s a weird thing that helps me with foils...do y’all remember the trend of those stupid *clear silicone makeup “sponges”* a few years back? Well they suck for makeup, BUT they’re soft & jelly squishy fun (so they perfectly conform to the ENTIRE nail at once). I find it SO much easier to lightly stick the foil onto the nail -and then _SQUASH_ the “makeup sponge” down on my nail and put pressure on all sides at once! Now granted, my nails are like 1/2 this length, so it likely won’t do ALL of this long of a nail at once-but other than that, I don’t imagine it being any less effective on different lengths. (But I’m not a nail tech, so wtf do I know?! Maybe it does...🤷‍♀️😆)

I remember Femi reviewed this kit a couple months ago and said the company is owned by one of the founders or maybe just a former employee of Makartt, and I feel like it really shows. It would be great to see more from this brand, as a slightly more affordable option that's still reliably good quality!

Gershion sells 60 ml tubes individuals and 30ml in their sets. You can only buy like pink, clear pink, clear and red bean in 60ml though. 30 ml is generous
