Got really hyped up to this yuta has been the GOAT since the beginning.

Yeah this is what we are doing. Yuta has shown since volume zero that he will sacrifice everything to protect his friends. I would explain in detail but many reviews and commentators have already done so. Suffice to say, this chapter adds so much weight to the fights and conversations that take place before it, and its tragedy is emblematic of the world of jujutsu kaisen. This ain't Naruto. Yuji ain't pulling something out of his ass to solo Sukuna and Kakashi ain't magically surviving for the 100th time. There is extreme suffering and there are consequences for actions regardless of how noble they are.

@@maniacdgod468 Except we didn't. Sukuna is not only a weaker version of his Heian form, he isn't using Ten Shadows. Yuta approaches fighting completely different than Gojo and while likely not as proficient at limitless, he probably has other tricks up his sleeve like Rika. Sukuna beat Gojo with Ten Shadows. He beat Yuta/Yuji/Rika with the world slash. Neither of which he has now. You can't have the same fight with different weapons. And that is ignoring the fact that Sukuna has additional limitations he did not have against Gojo like only a 99 second domain. Moreover, there was actually consequences for those losses. Gojo lost his life, Yuta lost his body. Now Sukuna is gonna try to take Yuta's life while destroying Gojo's body.

@@Tyrantofthewind so we’re getting a worse version of a fight we already witnessed and that’s supposed to make it better? and all of those points you said about yuta still stand without the fight bc both gojo and yuta were already defeated before this. the consequences of this new fight have already been had and we’re just reiterating it

@@maniacdgod468 While I don't agree with this dude randomly dunking on naruto, this shouldn't be looked at as a rematch of Gojo vs Sukuna right now. This is a passing of the mantle for Yuta in a sense with him gaining all the cards left by Gojo and his previous fight. Yuta trying to stop Gojo from killing the higher ups and becoming a "monster" is being compared directly to Yuta being the only willing and capable person left. Apologizing for moving his ring from Rika means he moved it only cause his other hand was cut off from Sukuna. Yuta's left hand not being shown while in Gojo's body hopefully means he has Rika still. Plus, with the solution against Sukuna's open barrier domian and Kenjaku's technique, theres enough for the fight to be different enough from both Gojo's and Yuta's first one. I think the fight makes sense thematically. Gege just has to get creative with the it. Sukuna being a binding vow merchant is something I wish happens less often though and Yuji being thrown out like nothing is disrespectful AF

Not a fan of Yuta I would rather Kanjaku take over Gojo’s body I mean Kanjaku survived several 6 eye limitless users and Yuta the most traumatic thing that happened to him was his childhood frend died if you can call it that when he got the most cursed energy in the series second only to Sakuna which one is more worthy to have Gojo’s body or has the mindset of the strongest not to mention with that level of power if Kanjaku sees Sakuna’s in his weakened state he might go after Sakuna and with the fact that he planed Yuji’s birth to the fact he created the culling games I would rather have the series conclude with him

There is absolutely no way that Kenjaku - even if he was miraculously alive - could get Gojo's body after getting absolutely trounced by Takaba/Yuta. With what body is he doing this precisely? How is he traversing the hundreds of miles between where he died and Shinjuku? He just gonna teleport to where the protagonist hideout is and covertly sneak in as a brain and take the body after it is teleported back? LOL

@@maniacdgod468 It makes more sense because of the blood relationship and the history they both have. But I honestly agree that this does not leave me satisfied at all. But it's part of Gege's job to make things more unexpected. Also, the fact that this is the end of a character like Yuta seems like a terrible waste to me.
