Try rolling more to evade, can dodge his attacks a lot easier that way. That brutality mutation where you take less damage after a hit might help you survive.

You can't roll his slam attack, and that's the one I have trouble with, it just comes out of nowhere and covers the entire floor. There's also the yellow grenade spam, again you cant roll through that.

@@lonejohnwolf don't worry about it, learning the attack patterns comes with time. also a little tip for future, use the health flask, you had 4. pair it with emergency triage if you have it (mutation dropped from time keeper), it makes you heal a shitton faster

@@28stabwounds35 I actually tried to use the health flask with emergency triage before, and it was a terrible idea. The heal reduction made it so that I was healing way too often and ran out in mere moments. But without it, I don't get any time to heal... I've tried to heal before plenty of times in other fights with the hand of the king, which I make it to in just about EVERY run btw, and I just get severely punished for it every single time unless he summons minions, which he only ever does like twice.

Double jump, roll, double jump. Congrats, you have now learned how to avoid the triple slash, or as I like to call it, The Newbie Stomper move

If all I had to do was dodge, that sounds great, but it's pretty hard to deal with that while trying to do enough damage to actually win the fight, as nobody can perfectly dodge everything forever. I don't think I could focus on dealing with that without stopping my attack unless I'm playing a very easy weapon, which I was not in the video. 😂

You can also try predicting when the enemies attack, or wait until the " ! " signal appears. I saw you try to parry him at the start, but he was winding up and you raised your shield too early and missed the parry. If parrying doesn't work for you, try spamming/doing strategically timed rolls when you know he'll do consecutive attacks to evade them.

I just don't know the timing of the attacks very well yet, but I'm pretty close to being able to parry that one three piece combo now.

Go to practice mode and practice the timing, then in normal mode use assist mode to get help. Sonner or later ull be able to no hit hok.

I'd rather be under pressure to actually get it right after having beaten everything else in the game before the fight, rather than fighting pointlessly for no rewards of any kind. I don't like practice mode in games, and I'd prefer to learn by playing.

I can consistently beat him on the highest difficulty, and my advice is to watch some boss guides out there, really helps a ton. Or simply use practice mode!

This was one of the very few games in my life that I went into completely blind, and I'd prefer to learn it by myself for the most part. I've watched a bunch of gameplay videos on the game, but I only ever watched anyone fighting the hand of the king after I finally made it there for the first time and of course lost almost immediately...

@@lucaschiang7670 Also it sounds unrealistic, as I only ever get to go fight the hand of the king after going through the entire game, and just suddenly skipping over to that fight would be very inaccurate to what actually happens.

@@lonejohnwolf Well you aren't really skipping a bunch of progress or stuff required, you'll only fight the boss to practice how to counter and defeat them ONCE YOU DO reach said boss fight on Normal Mode, It's basically an imitation or remake of the fight. Ofcourse defeating bosses this way doesn't reward you with anything aside from physical experience and knowledge. So actually you "don't" necessarily need to go through the entire game to fight bosses, you can fight any enemy you've encountered in practice mode, though ofcourse doing that won't give you any progress in the actual game.

Oh I see it, but there isn't any time to use it... This boss doesn't get stunned or frozen long enough to do that, and you get punished BADLY for staying still more than a couple seconds in this fight except for when the minions get summoned...

It is okay to take damage while healing, it doesnt cancel your healing. You wouldve lived and won if you used your drink any time at those last moments when you continiously got hit​@@lonejohnwolf

I pretty much do that for the most part, but I often like to take a secondary color (pretty much always survival) for when I don't get a choice for the power I'm maining.

@@lonejohnwolf i kinda get why you would do that, but it is not as effective as distributing the off color scrolls you get, since it will get you more HP. you see, scrolls boost both, damage (for same color weapons and skills) and health, damage is multiplicative, it grows exponentially the more scrolls you have, but health you will get less and less with more scrolls, that's why you wanna use the other 2 colors for... health

@@28stabwounds35 This works if he wants to have the most health. But I personally, would prefer focusing stats on the power I main for maximum/better damage output. Since it'd be more effective(atleast for me) to dodge attacks and end the fight quickly, instead of tanking a few hits.

@@28stabwounds35 I think that's more of a playstyle kind of thing. I'd prefer to have a good few scrolls in a secondary color so that I can use mutations from that color, rather than just have enough HP to tank one or two more hits. My goal is to not take a single hit to begin with, so every time I make it to the hand of the king I learn a little bit more about the fight.

@@SuperGalaxy8 Yeah I prefer to focus on one power, and then have a secondary power that I put scrolls into when the main power isn't an option. But I do usually take one scroll in the power I'm not using at all for that 50% health bonus it gives.
