This is the most important trading tool... do you have it?
This is one my favorite quotes from Peter Brandt:
What my positions are and why I put them on are FAR less vital than how I manage them. My edge comes from trade exit, not trade entry.
So… what does it mean?
It means you can have two traders taking the same setup.
And one made money… while the other lost.
Why?
Well, there are a few reasons:
•You’re micro-managing your trades
•You have the fear of losing
•You’re trading without plan
The good news is… you can fix this by following your trading plan.
You’re probably wondering:
Rayner, how do I develop a trading plan?
Don’t worry. I’m going to teach you step by step in today’s video.
PLUS…
This market could possibly break out of its all-time high (while being ignored by the media).
So, go watch this week’s analysis right now.
Talk soon,
Rayner Teo
Thanks for watching!

It is so hard finding real teachers that really teach for free, and their thoughts, which in turn makes one want to purchase their course and software. I can say for sure within the last 8 Months Mr. Adam Khoo, and Mr. Rayner Teo are by far the best teacher I have seen and they are not pushing a course and or a platform. They actually teach some of their ideas for free, Mr. Rayner Teo, thank you for taking time out to explain your trading concepts. I am now a fan and will follow you to include looking into purchasing what you have to offer

Hey Rayner...this video is two years old and i saw your yesterdays video also. I wonder how come you have stopped growing man... Looking as young as two years back bro... great.
Rayner, thanks for the vids, they are great. I haven't ever traded anything other than binary. so I study charts & do everything you teach but using 1 minute candles & I take 1-3 minute trades. Purely from following the trend, support & resistance & reading candles. Would you advise against this? I ask because you said in one video that its financial suicidal to trade on 15 minute candles?? Cheers mate (y)

so true. they say set your stop to breakeven but what they don't say is that odds are you're going to get stopped out breakeven then be out the position when it reverses and heads back up..

Analog: Well written. The better way is to set a stop loss with enough room to maneuver using fewer share size. One must be able to accept the loss, though, if the stop is hit. This is always a game of chance -- *which is not a job!*
HI Rayner, great video..May i ask what ema's do you use? Thanks Jake

hey Raynor xagusg chart(6.15min) a good R:R would be very hard to hit dont you think with a stop loss that far down the chart? 1:5:1 or so with what your showing?
HI Rayner. Do you trade daily, hourly, weekly, or monthly?

Thank you, Kody Dean. I appreciate it!
You mostly use 4 hour or daily time frames in your analysis. But for intra day trading that doesn't seem appropriate. What can be a good time frame for intra day set up? 15 minutes or less or more in Equity trading.
Hi Rayner, you taught before to trade from an area of value, e.g. pull backs, or when prices move back to test Dynamic SR. But at the same time, there is an advantage of trading breakouts as well. My question is how will you determine whether to trade breakouts or pull backs for a particular trade? Like what is your assessment criteria for knowing when to use which strategy.

+Rayner Teo thanks for the answer. i guess its a matter of experience then
Classic 👍
When talking about risk what you mean? 1% from what? transaction value? 1% variation can be easily removed you from any market.
One of the best vidoes on trading plan and trader psychology. I can't manage to emphasize more about this video's importance. Dear Rayner, you describe what any serious trader would feel in this trading arena...

Awesome to hear that!
good
Rayner, around 8:00 you cannot wait for a pull back so you are entering on the breakout. But I thought that you like waiting for the market to pull back before entering. From what I remember one of your favourite entries are when the market pulls back and bounces off of "dynamic resistance" (usually one of your MA's). This time is different, why? Do you change this often? Do you have a set way of entering; patience and wait for pull back or enter on break? Are you changing because you are so excited about this trade? Does your entry change based on the market you are trading? Sorry for all the questions. Oh, later you say don't trade breakouts and resistance or your trading will be a mess. Do you have a set way you trade? Are you "only" a trend follower?

***** Tks for the quick reply as always. What do you use to determine the market condition? How often do you refer to this to see what system to trade? Do you want to keep some parts of your trading private?

***** Tks....I do enjoy your articles. The link you provided seems to contradict itself. I find that the best part (and the one that fits my beliefs and homework). Your comment to identifying market types; "The thing is… You don’t know till the fact is over." So using some kind of market type filter is just another part of your system. Adding any part adds to the heuristics and/or degrees of freedom.
how to b proactive? can elliotwave etc can help?
please make video gold and crude oil forecast next week market.
Hi Rayner, in this video you didn't follow your trading plan of trading from Area of Value.why you broke the rule which you always follow?
A good one Thank you , can you please do a video about sniper trading , Many thanks

I've no idea what that is
Rayner, I don't see how you can define the conditions. The market tells you the conditions. If I'm interested in a stock as a trader, the conditions have to dictate what type of strategy. I may be looking for a pullback and not get it. If I encounter a scenario whereby I only have a breakout to trade, then that's what I go with on a spur of the moment. All other criteria like where to make my entry will have some bearing and I have to decide if I'm still in the meat of the move and if I feel like I am based on support and resistance I'll take the take. Your thoughts?
@CindyBarrymore

I think that's semantics. You're still waiting for the market to give you something that meets a criteria.
Hey Reyner. Could you make a video explaining what will happen to currency after the UK's vote on leave the EU 23rd? How to profit from it and which markets will be affected?

KozSwag what rayner said is true.i dont trade big news also unless i happened to stil hold on to a swing trade but i make sure i have placed a trailing stop to protect my profits. treating trade as a business n not gambling.learn from what happened during the swiss(chf) news.
(7:26) In a later video you mention trading the breakout before the breakout (buying on the low and not the breakout itself). Kind of the opposite of this video..
