Although not nearly as comfortable or livable as a traditional 5th wheel floorplan with a separated kitchen and living area with 2 sofas and theater seating this has a much much nicer living area than most toy haulers for people who can’t leave home without their toys👍

Hey everybody, It's Uncle Mac from Peru! Over the past few years I've lost interests in Toy Haulers but there is something different about this one. #1 Thanks GD for not putting the sink in the island. I want that space for prepping and/or entertaining. #2 That step into the shower wasn't a trip hazard. Nobody likes to step up 8-10 inches. Great job. #3 When it's raining out and you don't want to leave, that extra long sofa is my daytime nap place. Dislikes: #1 I agree what's up with that door? Why no friction hinge? #2 I'm ok with digital displays but also give tangible buttons as a back-up. #3 I'd like to see that loft reconfigured. Put cabinet doors on the garage side so you have the choice of it being garage storage or a sleeping loft.

This is a great floor plan, especially the 4 seater sofa. The garage is fine for dining. Then you get more room to walk through the kitchen. The loft is great for smaller kids you may have with you, that may fall off of the beds in garage.

I wish you would have shown how the dinette and bed in the hauler part functioned and also the patio. Thanks for posting.

This design is great for families, even if you don't have big toys. Make the garage the kids BR, more versatile than a bunkhouse. The two beds are great for taller children. You may want to put a mattress topper on the bed that's made from the 2 side seats, to make it more comfortable.

Hi Matt and Wil! My dislikes are the same as yours. And my likes are the kitchen and the toy hauler. And the storage. And the fact you get a washer and dryer and if you want a half bath it’s optimal. Thank you Matt and Wil!

Hey Matt & Will, Why have you not addressed the “Frame Flex or Frame Failure “ whatever you two want to call it. I understand that you guys make your living from positive reviews but honesty goes a long way to making a difference in the industry… But we understand your living comes first!!!! Buyer Beware notice here if anyone has an interest in this RV!!!

This is a Rhinobox frame. Not suseptible to frame issues.

100% agree with tangible buttons the one touch systems are super sluggish

Not bad, this is a really great rv. Not too happy with the placement of the tv though. I think they could have come up with a better place for it. But other than that, really nice.😊

It's a shame though that frame problems are plaguing Grand Design now... I wouldn't buy one until they resolve that!

This unitalong with the 415G utilizes the newer 40% stronger Rhinobox frame. It uses a shorter pinbox attached to a stout 6x6x.25" steel tube tied in with double side wall 2x7" . Through testing per Lippert and logging approximately 12k miles the unit has no frame issues.

🇬🇧 I’m not too keen on touch sensitive screens for the same reasons as you plus, they normally force you to ‘go hunting’ through sub-menus for simple operations. Solution: the rv equivalent of Tesla’s ‘S3XY’ knob. It’s a game changer for the car industry and surely can be adapted for the rv industry (is Grand Design listening?🙉). Keep grinding Matt and the team, from this side of the pond here in England ☔️😉

I really thought that having to break your back or neck to see straight on to the TV in the 'living room' would be a dislike!

Personally, I would steer clear of anything with the name Grand Design or Winnebago for a while. They need to get some things dialed in "quality wise". The frame problems they are experiencing and failing at resolving is scary. Ask me how I know......

You may notice they switched frame design on many of the units. The Rhinobox Space Saver frame is a newer design that is 40% stronger. The frames with issues were the #1621 design, not Rhinobox.

One of the best bedrooms for a North/South bed. Sometimes one side has great walk around space and the other side doesn’t.

Another dislike is that the tv is in a very bad spot

Grand design leads the way in safety with their ABS, anti-sway applications on their big rigs

How is it possible GD positions the TV in that location? Horrible. Is anyone listening to customers' complaints about TV placement? It is a deal breaker for me. Petty, maybe, but experience tells me it matters.

Grand design is junk lack of glue on roof causing bubbling , structural failures and frame failures stay away from general rv and grand design general rv won’t help after the sale with warranty work and Matt knows better on advertising this crap he is a sell out and a talking head that couldn’t fix any thing on a rv

What unit do or did you own that you had all these experiences??

Were the kitchen island a few inches narrower there'd be more space for the recliners. I imagine the island would be too close for my liking...and perhaps a couple of inches lower not to feel cramped in.
