Looking great!
.. Doing the same approach... Applying AMS granular in small frequent amounts and alternating with 16-16-16, working out great, lawn has never been better...
Pretty amazing that the lawn stays low like that even through a spring flush and consistent nitrogen. Win!

I just started doing my own lawn because it never looked good with the service I had. This summer I started with dissolving urea putting down .2lbs of N every 2 weeks, but I need to boost my P and K per my soil test. If I dissolve 20-20-20 am I following the dry application rate on the bag and just cutting it in half? Should I just be doing 20-20-20 until my P and K get to where they need to be, and skip the urea for now? I have 32k sq ft so urea is cheap but I haven’t found an affordable way to boost my P and K. Even the 20-20-20 is $75 per application. (I have also applied PGR and fungicides). Thank you!

If you are targeting .20lbs of Nitrogen the AMS should be a 21-0-0. 21% of that bag is Nitrogen so you will want to consider the size of your lawn. For a 1/4lb of nitrogen it's roughly 16oz of AMS per thousand square feed. On a 5k sqft lawn that is 80oz or 5lbs of AMS.

Took me a while to figure out how much product to use, but it is simple math. Divide the percentage of nitrogen in the bag into 100, and the result will be how many pounds to apply to 1000 sq. ft. to get 1 pound of nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. In the case of 20-20-20, 100/20=5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft to get 1 lb. of nitrogen over that 1000 sq. ft. If you only wanted .5 lbs. per 1000, simply cut the answer in half. If you want a quarter pound per 1000, multiply the answer, in this case 5, by .25, and you'll get 1.25 lbs per 1000 sq. ft. Hope this makes sense and helps.

I just asked JRPeters rep regarding the Professional General Purpose 20-20-20 bag that I have and she said 1 tablespoon per 1 gallon for a 1,000 sq ft. I’m confused as the 4 lbs. you used in this video for your 2,500 - 3,000 front yard.

Good video.. can you tell me exactly how much urea , ammonium sulphate and triple twenty you might add as a spoon feed on a lawn of 1,000 Sq feet every 2 weeks ..and how many lbs of pure nitrogen are you putting on your lawn? Finally what amount of water are you using per 1,000 Sq ft? Thanks..
@nmsauditor1a950
Жыл бұрын
Easy to figure out how much product to use. Divide the percentage of nitrogen into 100, which will tell you how many pounds of product to use. In this case, 100/20=5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. to get 1 lb. Of nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. So, if you want 0.5 lbs of nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. only use 2.5 lbs. of the product. As far as how much water, that is up to you and your sprayer. You'll need to calibrate your equipment. Add 1 gallon of plain water and spray 1000 sq. ft. You will be able to determine your walking pace to apply that one gallon to 1000 sq. ft. It is ok to use 2 gallons per 1000 sq. ft if you like. You will just need to slow your pace to apply it to 1000 sq. ft. Let me know if you need further clarification.
