what grand realization could he even possibly have, his life was completely shit from start to finish, controlled by a psychopath, there wasn't any redemption or path to it, he has no concept of it, all he can possibly do is make peace with himself, and I see that as what happened, he simply.. let go.

In the defense of All for One killing his brother but still wanting him around, the man is the definition of mentally and emotionally unstable. Once his brother was dead he likely saw the quirk as equivalent in some way, which does make sense considering quirk vestiges are a thing. I imagine that he always considered his brothers vestige being within his quirk world would be equal to having his brother physically with him.

I've always thought that AFO wants OFA because he loves his brother too much that it turn to obsession. He 'caged' him, give him power was maybe his bad way of protecting him. I have this thought at the time before the final arc start. Afew of his words just gave that feeling. Still, this final fight isnt satisfying at all. The others fights felt much much better than deku vs shigaraki.

That makes no sense. 😭 The quirks are "destroyed" when they are passed. Edit: for the 🤡s below. The whole reason deku passed his quirk is to damage afo from inside. The quirks are shattered on passing. Afo even says that he cannot feel ofa. Meaning he can't feel yoichi or the vestiges as they were all gone. To be expected from mha fans. Izuku will get OFA back. When Shigaraki and Deku punched the AFO vestige, all of the previous owners of OFA were on Shigaraki's side (The vestiges were alive I mean, and not shattered) with Deku on the other side. It's the ultimate transfer, and the ultimate end for All For One Then the fist bump with Shiggy's open palm, a transfer happened 100% and the reason we have a break is just to create suspense before revealing OFA' back or some mutation between AFO and OFA

@@quotha2695I don’t think so, the vestiges are still there, and plus Deku is pretty hurt. Maybe during that fight, Tenko transferred not only One for All and all of the quirks inside of it back to Deku, but also the All for One quirk and all of the quirks inside of it in order to help him heal. If Deku says that he becomes the world’s greatest hero, then having the two most powerful quirks in the world along with all of the quirks inside of them makes sense.

I said it Multiple times and people argued with me all through the comments but now its 100% confirmed. AFO did not have enough hatred in his heart to take OFA back because in his own twisted way, he still loved his brother. He kill Yoichi because Yoichi tried to stop him, not because he wanted to.

As surprising as this chapter goes, I've ignored the haters and love this series to the very end. I've always enjoy it. U will be missed mha❤

i had to merge the story from the time deku and shigaraki were fighting on mount fuji to see that this wasn't rushed. its a pretty successful ending

It was rushed. This arc itself too 50/50. You just had the climax of the story(with the Paranormal liberation war arc) only to go straight into the final arc which is another war arc? Toga was abandoned by AFO yet somehow manages to find the secret lair and him? It felt like an entire arc dedicated to her to make the story flow was cut out. Deku still isn't at 100% of One For All but look where he's at and what happened to him. It was teased and foreshadowed that Izuku and the class will have to ditch Japan in order to train safely due to how hazardous Japan was due to Shigaraki/AFO. Paralleling what AllMight did when he was younger when All For One ruled. The other villains(AFO's "friends") in other continents and the other heroes. Both been teased in the manga, sidestory, and movies. This series dropped a chunk of plot points and went straight into the final arc.

​@@dredvaxtbh i feel like that making the liberation war arc as part of the final saga makes much more sense than it being sperated by it,i do agree that something is missing before the final battle ever since Aoyama got revealed as the traitor everything felt suddenly accellerated,i do not think the final battle itself got rushed that much tho.

Honestly yeah,seems a bit quick. But i wouldnt say tht automatically makes it bad. I just think ppl were kinda putting too much expectation on it while at the same time complaining it was taking too long to wrap up💀. Like did yall want him to do another 30+ chapters or did yall want him to end it sooner? Ppl cant seem to make up their minds and whine too much nowadays. Will have to wait for the official chapter release to see if its too unsatisfying or not personally.

I'm willing to bet fans are mad about the final fight getting dragged out in stereotypical Shonen endless power ups fro the final boss, and the rushed shigaraki resolution that should've been started way earlier to feel like a good payoff. Shiharaki literally looks dumb just being fine with losing to deku and dying by AFO but somehow "rebeled till the end" so who gives a fudge.

It's because the setup to the ending was a miss. There's too many flaws from many angles, so fans are right to be bothered over different results. It's not about whining. Stop carrying water when you know the truth.

It makes actuelly sense what happend 1. You dont know how much you needed somthing untill ist gone, when afo killd his beother he knew his quirk vestig would still be there. Thats why he broke emotenali down at the end, becouse yorichis vestige was gone 2. That there is no tenko makes sens we are not ouer 4 jear olds inside us every expirience changes us, also he wanted always to destroy what had wrongnd him and ad the end that was afo not hero society like afo made him believe

Glad someone else mentioned the first point here. AFO is finally being truly beaten. Not a moment of "I'll just start again", but having to question the dream of being a demon lord that blinded him for his whole life. It's a moment to realize what really mattered to him. The guy already had the perfect mass of quirks, he didn't need the 7 random ones OFA stored. It wouldn't gain that much power, and it was a huge investment of resources. This was an arrogant man unable to face the mistake of killing his brother in a fit of "If I can't have him no one can", and trying to fit it into some nebulous master plan. With that gone, there is nothing left but grief and confusion.

It’s not about whether or not it makes sense, logically it tracks out, the implementation is sloppy at best and the decision itself is questionable.. overall a very disappointing end which made me dislike AFO’s character even more

I saw this coming, not really the Tomura dying part but how Deku loses his quirk to destroy AFO. It's brought the story full circle, he started quirkless and ends the same way. OFA and AFO I always assumed would be destroyed as it seemed like one could never exist without the other, like a ying and yang situation. Seemed like they were the only counters for each other

I actually don’t hate it. It’s like now that everything is ending Shigaraki has to face that he isn’t who he thought he was. He was still killed but It wasn’t the brutality you would expect. He was basically killed by quirk overload. I like this idea that it’s less about redeeming the person more about redeeming the soul

True they were fighting all day it had to happen at some point. So his body just giving out made sense to me. Honestly better then him just turning good out of no where. Honestly if he had the chance he would still destroy everything for the villains.

All for One was literally came into the world as a psychotic little baby. No real guidance on how to act even REMOTELY human, whatsoever. I honestly believe that AFO lashed out in a fit of anger and impulsively killed Yoichi without fully thinking it through. He fought so long and hard to get his brother’s quirk, probably thinking he could somehow figure out a way to bring him back. I don’t feel sorry for the man. But it is sort of sad. And dang… I was really hoping Deku would get all those quirks. He probably would’ve exploded or something, though, hahaha.

Shigaraki really said “damn you right” and then flatlined 💀

Man, I need that insider extra cinematic of Nana saving shiggy turned tenko. We need to see him have that hero moment. It would make this make so much sense.

True I can agree to that. Always had the feeling the goal was just to see Yoichi again. But yay he still did a lot of messed up things to achieve that. Then there is Shigaraki who is just stopped his destruction upon learning he was dying. Though I definitely believed he would not have stopped if his body didn't break apart then.

It’s probably better that it ended this way because if you think about it it was always going to end with his death cause let’s say shigaraki had made it out of the vestige world alive and had a change of heart so he decided to take accountability for everything that he did, he was going to get arrested probably have a trial be found guilt and get the death penalty for starting not one but TWO wars including everything he did throughout the series. Either way he was going to die

It definitely feels a little rushed. But I think it’s Horikoshi in the final stretch, and just wanting it to be done. So it’s not as good as it could be. But I’m happy with it. And I hope that the rest of what we see is a nice ending to the story

Bakugo has been one of the most annoying characters in this arc. I mean, by this point, this guy is immortal. What a disgusting character with how much Horikoshi loves him to the point of letting him do whatever he wants.

This may feel somewhat anticlimactic but it's fitting. It allows Tenko a final send off without coming off as a redemption. It's like Vader helping finishing Palpatine. We still got about 7-8 before the end so we still time for a final hit and any last minute moves along with warnings after this fight. But i think it's nice. Like FMA Brotherhood

I've seen some comments say that they wouldn't like if deku ended up being quirkless again. I don't understand. I thought people wanted consequences in the story? Now the writer gave it and people were like emm no we don't like that. Tf bro

Honestly, I do enjoy how Tenko didn't really actually appear, because it would be kinda strange to watch shigi get Deus Ex'd back into a kid again. This feels way better IMO but at the same time, it was a bit of an anticlimactic finish. Not as bad as some other manga i've read but, still lacking in areas for sure.

He may have also gained the All For One quirk along with New Order and all of the stolen quirks in order to recover quickly.

To be fair, nothing could redeem Shigaraki. He would spend the rest of his life in Tartarus, better he just lets go and hopefully finds peace.

I... really hope there's more to Shigaraki's conclusion than this. There feels like so much that wasn't properly addressed. His reaction to and coming to terms with AFO's abuse, an actual last interaction between him and AFO, him finding out about Twice or any of the rest of the League, his original quirk, his team up with the vestiges, etc. I hope I'm speaking too soon, but man, are we really only getting TWO pages to wrap up Shigaraki's character? After all this time? Please prove me wrong Horikoshi.

I think Hori Overestimated how much he could continue with the war and to me it seems like he came up with all of this to end it as fast as possible.

@@keithfilibeck2390 AFO has been around for at least a century, so Kudo leaving around a descendant or having a relative who was an ancestor to Bakugou wouldn't have been impossible. Of course, there are also resemblances with meanings, such as Nana Shimura (All Might's mother figure) resembling Inko Midoriya (Deku's mom). In a way, Bakugou is Deku's Kudo, a rough guy who was touched by an inspirational person (Yoichi/Deku) and carried on the fight when and where he couldn't (Yoichi due to capture and death, Deku due to distance and preoccupation). In one of the movies it's basically shown that Deku would even entrust Bakugou with One For All in order to defeat a great evil, so there is even more resemblance between Bakugou and Kudo.

Shigaraki was too busy being brainwashed to be a good villain it had zero agency with his backstory disproving the point about hero society being bad because everything he went through was orchestrated by afo. The only connection he had to deku was the quirks and having a bs mindshare nonsense to make midoriya have artificial sympathy for his child subconscious not because midoriya actually understands shigaraki or his philosophy beyond knowing barebones information from monologuing, shigaraki was not utilized well enough to be a good villain.

I think it was mentioned AFO first name is Oichi. Also, I had an original theory is that the only reason AFO wants OFA is cause it contains the vestiges of his brother. He wanted his brother with him. Otherwise try picturing AFO using Blackwhip, Smokescreen, Float etc lol, he can already float in the air. If Shigaraki’s body is destroyed, does that means Tenko is gone or he’s back similar to previous opening when “Tomura’s being was been removed from Tenko”, or Tenko is back but looks older?

I’m pretty mixed on this chapter. Because after the buildup at the last two I thought we were gonna have at least five or six more chapters of this fight, but now it’s over so quickly. Afos defeate and shiggis resolution happens in five pages. That just seems way too quick. Unless I’m second-guessing myself.

I think Deku is gonna get OFA back with one additional vestige which is Tomura himself. Shigaraki is irredeemable to the world at large but as a willing vestige in OFA, it gives you a narrative redemption without the ridiculous proposal that the world forgive him in anyway shape or form.

Yes, but it seems that not only on the outside 2) AFO is now feeling what it has caused: Weakness, fear, feeling helpless 3) Truly AFO is stubborn and at the same time shows his true face: he is terrified of dying, of being forgotten 4) AFO is not unique with a purpose, Kurogiri still has energy and now it is revealed to him. And just in time it seems 5) One last push from Dinamigth so that Deku can continue the final confrontation. AFO should not be given a chance to escape. 6) Deku is not wrong, AFO is simply that: An empty man looking to fill a bottomless hole 7) The vestige world, the brothers' conversation. But I don't think it's the end of OFA completely. 8) AFO has a very twisted concept of brotherly love 😅 9) Shigaraki returns again to deliver the final blow, alongside the heir of Yoichi Shigaraki's will 10) The uncertainty remains if Deku recovered the OFA in that fist bump with Shigaraki, which I maintain that he did it but we will have a definitive answer in the next chapter... Which indicates to be the end

I imagine some folks will cry that this feels rushed, but I actually kinda like the idea that AFO may be beaten before this final fight even began. Calling back to OFA needing a vessel that can handle it is a great way to use already established continuity.

I agree. People also are crying about having the fight not be like a multi quirk super-battle but instead got a team up of class 1-a, but its literally called My Hero Academia. It was literally destined to end with them working together to blast AFO

What's more we did get the epic big battle already. Deku vs Shigaraki wasn't all that long ago and was straight heat all the way through. I don't understand why people are acting like that never happened.

Horikoshi actually cooked from what it sounds like. But it's hard to get a clear picture of what happened without the full chapter.

I believe Izuku is going to have the six quirks that his other fellow OFA had. Or maybe what will happen that the quirk new order, that star & stripes had, is given to him or the other is a Izuku's original quirk is revealed and it is called "Maximum" which is an evolved form of one for all.

The fight felt like a whole arc

I have 2 issues with that end: 1. Small issue: Bakugo has nothing to do here I understand the reason why Horikoshi wanted him here, but my bro already had an insane battle vs All for One... JUST GO TO THE HOSPITAL LIKE OCHAKO BRO 2. Very big issue: it was way too fast an ending for that Shigaraki x AFO entity There could have been easily 2 to 3 chapters for a better farwell of this (or these) character(s). It feels just so rushed... Ngl, I pray that the anime change this ending (like, Horikoshi could work with the anime's staff to add some scenes and complete this final battle)

They didn't gave us the ending we want but it was the ending that also makes sense

So either Deku will get a partial transfer of OFA or AFO and get some of the power or he will get his own quirk out of it now he no longer has a quirk factor inside of him leading him to potentially get Shigaraki's which explains why his body dies because Deku has Decay or he stole everything AFO had but this time with AFO being gone it's just Deku in control letting all the users and people who tried to stop AFO rest knowing the greater evil is stopped.

I don't think Deku will get all of his quirks back because they were destroyed but OFA is the only Quirk that survived so he may get that back. As for AFO caring about his younger brother, if i remember i think it was implied that he killed his brother in a moment of anger and regretted it and decided to blame the 1st and 2nd users for his brothers deatg and hold them responsible.

Feeling like, One For All would go back to Midoriya if Shigaraki was knocked out or killed already at this fight, because the transfer wouldn't be completed

This will definitely be better when fully animated.

For Final Season Part 2 that is for Deku vs Shigaraki at Mt Fuji and Heroes vs AFO cause Season 7 is gonna have 21 episodes and when Final War gets animated it will mostly cover chapters 343-410 with 16-17 episodes is what I think 💭

There is just so much here that feels wrong. But I'll focus on the most basic. OFA destroying a weak body. Tomura had his body modified by the doctor to be a perfect vessel and hold multiple quirks. Presumably also OFA. So how is he of all people. Too weak to contain it? It would make more sense to say Izuku forcefully transferred OFA with such force and ill intent that it caused major internal damage and weakened the body so now he can no longer contain it. That might be what he meant. But I wish he would have at least mentioned it.

@@LokiToxtrocity That's fine for a regular user sure. But Tomura spent 4 months having his body modified for this purpose. To be able to handle all these quirks and to steal OFA. Unless we're going with the idea that his body has become weakened then it doesn't make sense for OFA to overwhelm him.

AFO mentioned a chapter before that his body was very damaged from Shiggy/Deku's fight in the vestige world. Just like how Deku lost his arms, AFO lost a lot of his body upgrades.

I think AFO when talking about needing his brother is more referring to maybe his quick/vestige? IDK This ending seems... well rushed soo much that things are being lost that are needed to make it make sense.

We are now at the point of EVERYONE is definitely fighting for the I TOLD YOU SO moment. I can't wait till most of the theory vids are gone and forgotten

Kurogiri's protectiveness of Tomura was always the trace of Shirakumo. It was obvious that Kurogiri would rebel against AFO to protect Tomura

So All For One is just the personification of the "Old Man Yells At Cloud" meme.

They always say the hardest part of flying is landing the plane... Horikoshi apparently decided it'd be easiest to just fly his into a mountain lol a weird and unsatisfying ending imo.

I don’t see how 90% of ppl won’t agree this is disappointing. Been going downhill for a while now but I expected the ending to at least be planned out well

When she protected tenko from being hit by his father, when she tried to keep him from joining/merging with all for one, and the very first time is when all for one/shigi and deku/one for all first user were in the vestige world and all for one tells him that that is her grandmother.

What a strange, quick ending to a story.

Horikoshi stated that Midoriya's father would be revealed in the future. Plot twist: Midoriya's father is the true final villain, and orchestrated everything AfO did in the story. That's what the final volume will cover. 😂

Imagine the dad comes back with cartons of milk in the final chapter and says "Sorry I'm late guys, was a long line"

All for one did "love" Yoichi as much as he could "love" anything. He completley broke down into depression after Yoichi was completley gone so clearly there was some attachment. When he killed Yoichi it was in a fit of rage that clearly affected him but he coped by saying it was all fake and that he could get the vestige back. He always wanted his brother back because he was his first possesion that the world gave him one for all was just a bonus. Sure the "love" was very toxic but it was genuine. Its pretty much always been hinted that All for one was chasing his brother to be complete hell he even made Tomura as a copy of him. The use of Shigaraki brothers here is just to show who they are. In universe All for one had no name only All for one. Yoichi was just somthing he gave to his brother and Shigaraki was somthing he said to Tomura to manipulate him. There was nothing more to All for one because he embraced villany at such a young age he had no need or want to lower himself to a human level with a actual name. Deku telling him that he isn't some irredemable monster or a demon lord just a lonely man cuts down all his delusions showing that deep down he was nothing more than a miserable man trying to get peoples attention. Shigaraki wasen't really saved because he died. He acnowledged in the end that he was just a bitch boi lashing out at the world. And considering All for one literaly created him its a pretty valid belife.

Finally! The climax has come to an end! Now hopefully we can have some much needed closure in the aftermath.

Next chapter is going to be about Deku falling from the sky after he killed Shigaraki/AFO and there’s no one that can stop him from falling except Ochaco like the Entrance Exam moment and her returning from the sky out of nowhere to save Deku from falling is supposed to be the final ending but one problem is she’s getting closer to the hospital to get her injuries treated so I wonder how will that end after next week break returns

This just feels rushed so unless we get another handful of chapters the last one being an incredably long one which is a "What everyone got up to in the next 5 years" kind of thing with the rest being more to the fight. This last bit kind of fell off hard which i shall accept if we get an annoucement that Horikoshi rushed it due to ailing health but wanted to finish this for us.

Sounds like he thought he could wrap up in another 30 chapters but the publishers said nah more like 3

Honestly, I kinda like this ending for Tomura/Tenko. It’s not a full retcon or Eri reversal, and fully in line with his and Izuku’s personalities at this point in the series. This is the first time Tenko has had a hero reach out his hand to help him, and he’s acknowledging that, along with his dying words to pass on to his only real friend, a Villain who also reached out his hand to help him. It’s honestly really fitting what happened with Spinner being turned into a Kaiju by AFO. The parallels are actually truly striking.

I love the fact that shiggy asked deku to basically "lie" by telling spinner that he died being "evil". He just doesn't want to betray his friend. That's so wholesome to me

Where's Tenko?! He and Shigaraki were never separate beings. The minute Shigaraki reclaimed control of his body, Tenko wasn't seen until Deku entered Shigaraki's memories.

So no Mr. Compress or the ice guy (goten I think) involved in the war?

i always wanted to see deku go full 100% in this fight or at some point not with the combination of quirks but naturally with OFA and i wanted to see him pull off a world smash too. I thought it’d be cool to see him combine 100% of OFA with gearshift and fajín too instead of 45% idk ig he’d be too op. Also thought it’d be cool if he got to change the weather with those tornado punches like all might like that last punch he got off it would’ve been cool to implement the weather changing tornado punch there sucks we won’t get that tho 😪

Why does the ending kinda feel like those old memes, like it sounds like Shigaraki is about to say- “This really is our Hero Academia 😢🥺”

Wow, I can’t believe it but it became both the end of all for one and shigaraki/tenko and For shiggy After everything he went through after the tough will he had he finally Let’s go of it after defeating all for one cause I can see that Now he really does not have any more reason to think he should destroy this world or this society Because he doesn’t want to be used as a tool created by all for one anymore that is what he told to him.

Okay, so this wasnt what i expected, but its INCREDIBLY reminiscent of how FMA:B ends and y'know? Im okay with that. AFO trying to look for any possible escape reminds me of Fathers "philosopher stone, need a philosopher stone" when hes scrambling Deku fighting with just embers and no actual quirk reminds me of Ed getting his hand back and ending Father with just raw punches And of course, turning to dust in the end/the main character losing all his power in the final fight is parallel qs well. Depending on how the epilogue goes, im actually okay with this

I don't think it's over. Shigi probably gave Deku one or both of AFO/OFA when they touched hands. There's a chance Deku might try some quirk shit to save him, but I don't even really care anymore at this point tbh... 😮‍💨🤷🏻‍♀️

I think Tomura’s resolution is that even though he became a zealot, he wasn’t wrong in that there were some societal constructs that needed to be destroyed, and even though this result of death is the consequence of taking things too and choosing the wrong role model, he did destroy the things that made his life what it was. I don’t think that analogy would be new or super important from an innovation standpoint, but I do think it’s appropriate for the character. Hurt people tend to hurt people, and I think this honors that comic book tradition of the difference between “good guys and bad guys” but twists it a little by giving us those seeds of “he was a kid too”. When this big moment happened, I think the point is that we should feel a little conflicted. We got the big knockout punch, but the series has kind of highlighted that the hero work that perpetuates itself and makes things better for the world are the services, kindnesses, and respect that we pay each other through actions and words separate of violence. All the action pieces were dope though.

Thing with AFO is, when Yoichi died, he finally understood "you don't know what you had till it's gone"

At least it doesn't end with some cheesy ultimate punch or Shigaraki being fully healed into Tenko like I kinda expected it to.

i disagree that he did not care because he killed him. He gave him a quirk which would guarantee he could have him as a vestige. that went away when the quirk was passed along to someone else. he not only chased the power, which was not significant at first(thats important to note) but he also chased the people that held his twins vestige inside them.
