To quote from the Genestealer Cults Codex: "A Genestealer Familiar is a diminutive Genestealer-like construct created from the raw psychic energy produced by a Genestealer Patriarch or Magus that manifests in realspace as a living organism." Hermiatus is literally an elaborate Familiar in the form of a tech-priest and I love that. Also the implication that a Patriarch can literally create copies of a dead man if they stick out in it's mind strong enough is super interesting.

Necromunda pays attention to the narrative much more than 40K (not really surprising as it is a narrative game), first moving out from Primus to the Ash Wastes and now to Secundus. This gives the possibility to start in one location, move across another and end up at your destination, with each location providing different challenges. What we need now is for GW to embrace the Corvus Belli way and have themed events that influence the future narrative. Really can't wait for Secundus - I still think the box is going to be in the vein of the Warhammer Quests with the book being the rules for playing in Necromunda proper. Keep up the erratic videos.

This has some VERY interesting implications for Tyranid lore, especially around the characters like Old One Eye that keep appearing again and again. Something I've been thinking a lot about recently is what happens to the souls of people devoured by a Tyranid hive fleet, given that the Shadow in the Warp cuts off (or at least limits) contact with the Immaterium. There's a potential here that the Hive Mind is actually much more than a single, super-advanced intellect, and that part of why it is so good at adapting to new threats is because it is literally incorporating the essence of its enemies.

I now want a genestealer admech army with this as my Magos, 20+ techthralls as skitarii, and the malestrain genestealers as ruststalkers of something like that.

And here I þought I’d already bought all my GSC models… welp, here we go again! ⚙️

Hermiatus was one of the very earliest named GC characters, so it's really awesome to see him finally getting a model. :)

I've been eyeing up necromunda for a bit now, and the malstrain have fully gotten hold of me. When they come out, I'll definitely be getting a gang together.

Once again SGS knocks it out of the park with the sculpt! I love the details, and the weird flesh-tentacles thingies, as well as the mini-stealer. From the looks of it, this bloke'll be one of the dramatis personae in Secundus, so the Malstrain player will have to petition for his inclusion in a mission. I'm getting quietly hyped for the Secundus expansion with each model preview we've had!

This dude feels like he just walked out of the "all guardsman party" stories. The unholy amalgamation of things a guardsman fears.

I love the flesh pipes. Very deathguard. Might have to pick up 1 or 2 for kitbashes.

It's resin, so obviously it will be $70. All the more tragic given what a lovely model it is.

Lord give me a great Dark Mechanicum range and make it twisted and dark and devoted to Chaos as a whole and not just Vashtorr alone.

There is no other explanation: GW are now designing Necromunda miniatures specifically for me.

If I ever start mech army all my tec priest are going to be made from Necromunda models. Everything is so much creepier than the regular 40k stuff.

He's literally a tolpa. Which is supposed to be a thing brought into our reality by thought alone. Very creepy. Unsanctioned just means he can't be traded or bought back if captured. Not sure about those sticky outy bits in resin, but I guess he would be in a case inside a case. I have 4 gangs already but this might be number five.

I'm a bit bummed that the starter box only comes with 6 of the genestealers. I want all of these new models, but I don't particularly care for the other gangs. I guess I'm just going to have to pick them all up individually.

Every game's getting good Mechanicus models EXCEPT 40K. I won't be surprised if AOS somehow gets a Tech Priest.

Maybe this is just because of the angle, but his body- the pelvis, torso, and shoulders- seem way too wide than what the size of the skull would suggest.

AH FOR FUCK SAKE! I never had any resin models from forge world but i did not hear a single good thing about it. BUT HE IS SO COOL! And i recently got into terrain scrapbuilding too... Is resin really that bad? Because i really like that model

One big problem was that gw continued using their centrifugal metal molds and just poured resin into them instead. Resin is still really toxic when you grind it, hard to glue, doesn't take paint as good as plastic and warps a lot, but its not as bad as it used to be.

That model disturbing and I must have it. A constantly reformed, Genestealer-corrupted Tech Priest who functions as both experimenting lunatic and Cult Magos is something I have not seen in 40K yet.

Love this as a dark mechanicous but too bad it's resin.

Like most things, I think the tentacle thing is overdone a bit in modern 40K and AoS tbh. It’s like everything has an OTT, anime aesthetic to it. Less tasteful and original than how oldhammer did it. It’s like, where’s the originality gone?

You mistakenly pronounced "gestalt" as "gestalt", its not... It's pronounced "gestalt" I hope that clears everything up.

This is lame. It's a cyborg xenomorph scientist monk space wizard made of resin. Instead of someone's kitbash I would have rather have had something connected to Ghoul Stars as a model. It's also enough of a reason to nuke Necromunda ''over-again''. Because while Tyranids use the warp they are no Psuchers/Space Wizards and they use biology instead of technology. If you REALLY think about it this guy is the greatest threat to the Galaxy ever. It's just dumb. It's Disney Star Wars kind of dumb. Sure the model looks cool but if people cared only about that Age OfSigmar would be more popular than 40K. Also, it's made out of resin. For fricks sake!

More overpriced Resin. Will wait for the 3rd party 3D print equivalents.
