“Slower the car, the better the racing” could not agree more. I’ve got no time for hypercar and LMP2 racing but stick me in an MX5 and I’ll be smiling for sure. Great video Dave!

I've just gotten into iRacing and been doing the Miata races. They';re great fun and it's been a blast learning them. Crazy to see how hard these can be pushed by skilled drivers. Great race.

Really cool watching your lines and brake points here, Mac. I'm on a G920 and just don't have enough brake resistance to properly trail-brake, so it looks like I tend towards later, on-off braking. Sim Jacks arrive next weekend so I'm looking forward to re-learning the brakes and picking up some pace. Currently sitting around 21.7 race pace with occasional trips to 21.3s. But I've got to seal the deal with my promotion to C class, so I'd best keep it in my pants this evening :)

In later years taking care of a young daughter is more important than online racing, but I try too see what your up too. And you are doing just great. Unfortunatly...a work accident made me unable to race anymore....So now I can only be a bystander. So good luck out there Sir Dave

Hello Dave. I’ll be honest: I don’t usually watch MX5 races, as I don’t feel very attracted to this class. But this one had me on the screen all the time. Amazing comeback, very nice result and surprising ending (I’ll say no more for who didn’t watch it). Enjoyed the video and your comments 🤗

This is the kind of race i thrive for , today only i did a MX5 race and i was 4th and the guy in 5th fought with me from the first to last lap , without a single incident point in the race .

I'm about to start watching, but I just had to say that you always seem to get fun races with these cars. idk why but my couple MX-5 Cup races in Assetto Corsa have been super spread out and more boring than almost anything else!

P11 to 2nd was a nice day at the office. I had a glimpse of how hard it is to try make this content for everyone to enjoy, in what little time we ended up sharing the same tarmac this week. Next time we'll be wheel to wheel !

Right someone for the love of god help me I have a moza r5 my settings for steering range is set at 900. In game it’s set at 900 after calibration. When I turn anything after 45 degrees the car feels like it’s not turning anymore and I have massive understeer. I see Dave turning at some points 90 degrees and the car is on point turning sharp.

Is everyone else in the race using sequential tranny? Isn't MX5 Cup using clutch and h-pattern? or is there different variations?

When I’m racing, the tries are squealing like crazy almost all the time. I hear almost none of that. What am I doing wrong? Seems like I have a fraction of the grip shown here.

I fixed my original performance issues (power throttling), but went ahead and upgraded my mb and CPU 👍

Funny I love racing and sim racing yet I never heard of iracing. Was about 6 years ago I found videos with Matt and empty box. Became a big fan of both. Not Dave is added. Reason I got into iracing 100 percent

It means you can't make any fundamental changes to the setup, suspension, aero , TC, abs etc. Usually the only thing you can change is brake bias.
