"This Is Terrifying" Fury At Labour's 'MASSIVE £7bn Gamble' To Virtue Signal

Kevin O'Sullivan and Isabel Oakeshott discuss their join scepticism over Labour's environment and green initiatives with Kevin being 'terrified' over what he says is a £7bn gamble by Keir Starmer's government to 'virtue signal' over green issues.
The pair also talk about Western support for Ukraine against Russia, with Kevin O'Sullivan says it's important to keep Putin in check, but people should not completely shut down any debate over what others might think about the situation.
As the situation in Ukraine continues, questions are raised about what a Trump presidency would lead to, with Isabel Oakeshott suggesting the Democrats must be horrified at how they have handled President Biden and the ongoing campaign.

As in many other Western countries the main political parties have simply colluded with the common popular delusions pertaining to the Earth’s climate and “renewable energy “. This has led to a massive misappropriation of taxpayers money and resources into uneconomical and unreliable renewable energy projects. The hapless taxpayers suffer from increased electricity tariffs, reduced government services and higher taxation and higher living costs. There is no utility in “climate action “. It is a monumental waste of money and resources and should be abandoned. In cold areas such as the United Kingdom even a modest amount of warming would be highly beneficial.

@@SlowhandGreg This isn't infrastructure investment though, investment is paying for something to at the very least have an asset or possible return on it in as either a value proposition, (can be any type of value, investing in a hospital would have value in providing health care) or an asset that can be leveraged against demand for financial gain, BAE systems who make the European airframes for the F35 fighter is that type of investment for example. What they did is throw £7.3B of tax payer money that could be better served in any sector, health, education, national services, even defence, in hopes that they will reduce our impact on the world, somewhat ironically, in the grand scheme we are not the problem, huge manufacturing bases like India, China and to a degree even America pollute up to 1000x as much as we do, look at Beijing in 2008, the place was so covered in the pollution of it's industry that the sky was black and the air looked like it was smoke, if we actually cared about this "green" mindset then they would be pushing more towards nuclear power, investing into Rolls Royce and their mini reactors and reducing the reliance on fossil fuels, with an abundance of cheap energy public transport can be electrified and improved causing people to consider it more than using their car for longer journeys like from Leeds to Manchester centre for example which is one of the worst polluting routes in the UK due to it's altitude, gradient and throughput of cars every day.

Stop that law, we help others who are OUR TRUSTED FRIENDS when there is a crisis. Foreign aid should be used to drive down our debt every year. I guarantee Labour will bankrupt the country, they are just useless, but people never seem to learn. What should happen is a full review of 1. What a department does 2. Who we give money to and how much and what we get in return 3. Be like Javier Milei and slash slash 4. Cut government departments by 40% by the next 10 years 5. Stop paying for wars 6. Stop funding Europe when it refuses to invest in NATO, and we should ask for back payments from the EU members otherwise downgrade them in NATO 7. Increase our food production to 70% 8. Bring in means to provide cheaper energy that is reliable and store it, even allow people to generate it on their homes, with storage facilities 9. Cut energy costs for business by 60% to 70% because we are just too expensive to product anything 10. Cut quangos 1200 of them according to Guardian - What do they do 11. Automate services with AI / Process Autoamtion They all laughed at Farage over his idea to generate 150b but frankly think about it, if you did all hte above and more you will breeze the target. The MSM is old school thinking, the IMF estimates 60% of jobs will go from AI in the next decade. Even if you bring that down to say 25% you will hit Farage's target alone. People need to wake up and realize it's jobs for the boys and troughers. Why was Cameron given peerage, it should have been rescinded. I would put that in the reform referendum as an item, peerages to be removed from these people of shame. It will get a lot of support

Solar panels are only economical in sunny areas between the 35th parallels. Even in favourable areas there is a major mismatch between peak supply and peak demand. Inclement weather can render them useless for prolonged periods. There is widespread inappropriate use of solar panels in cloudy upper latitude areas such as the UK. They are often covered in snow in winter.
