There is no better sound than a gun being shot hitting steel targets

I've never even thought about looking at kids sports with pistols and rifles. This has got to PO so many people that it just makes my day. When you teach the children how to handle a firearm the firearm is not a danger to anyone. She's one lucky kid and an excellent Marksman. Great video!

Funny thing is, if you're good you're only shooting for about a minute total out of 5 hours of range time.

As a current steel challenge competitor who watched this a few years ago, that statement always irritated me. Going to debut my ISR division with a 500sw magnum (down loaded custom wadcutters of course) just to irritate people like that. Also plan in getting into GM in PCCI with a hipoint. Also just because.

Kinda sucks that you cant use pistol sized PCC (Like Scorpion Evo, Stribog, or MPX K)

You can now actually! The round only has to be going under 1600fps and not steel core.

So... can I shoot my red dot sighted RUGER 57 (5.7 x 28 centerfire cartridge) in a Steel Challenge competition? I'd like to shot my PS90 too but likely it's not allowed so I can use my upgraded RUGER PC chassis carbine with Holosun AEMS sight.

Ass long as the round is not AP, steel, and going under 1600fps they allow it.

So u can shoot a stock, rimfire pistol and rifle? I've been wanting to shoot rimfire with my younger kid and thought u had to use 9mm in steel challenge events?

Yes. I don't know about 22rwm though. Might be too hot of a round.

@@patrickgjorven7832 we did a rimfire challenge with .22lr stock firearms. We had a pretty good time (takes too long for everyone to shoot, and there was a lot of downtime, though)

I'm new to USPSA and only shot one match so far. Would I see these same eight Steel Challenge courses if I were competing in Hawaii?

Yes, or at least some of them. The club I'm in shoots a match twice a month. they do 4 on the first match and then the other 4 on the second match but yes, they are all the same layout, distances and plate size just like on this video.

@@Flintlock1776 Thanks. I was thinking it might be helpful to know the layout beforehand. Never competed with a PCC but there's a Steel match in a week. My new rifle doesn't get released from "permit to acquire" purgatory till Tuesday, then I have to register it before I can legally fire it. Doesn't look like I'll be making Sundays match. Are you in Hawaii?

What caliber is allowed for PCC ?
@patrickgjorven7832

Usually any caliber as long as it's not going over 1600fps.

Doesn't PCC stand for Pistol Caliber Carbine? So it seems any pistol caliber is allowed.
