I'll say it again, this anime have the most realistic frienship I've seen in anime, they feel authentic, and the 3rd division members doesn't doubt kafka just because he's a kaiju, and remembers their bond and how he saved everyone. 8in other anime, they tend to be rude with each other, event tough they grew up together, which doesn't make any sense.

I was so surprised when she said "I'll always be waiting", I was on the toilet watching the first part of this episode randomly and cried on the toilet LOL

The 3rd Division colleagues saluting Kafka was such a beautiful moment. Mina's reassurance was just as emotional, really goes to show how much she cares about him, despite not showing it so much. 11:50 we're getting hit in the feels time after time in this episode. Like you pointed out, Magy, everyone is doing their best to save Kafka. Kikoru's dad is a wild one, this episode proved it beyond any doubt. 18:14 Kafka went full Eren with this one and ofc the episode ended in a massive cliffhanger. Loved the discussion! So I just thought while watching this... the bug Kaiju that infected him said Kill...kill... kaiju... kill. What if that Kaiju was looking for someone to give this power to destroy other Kaiju and this is the remnant of the most powerful Kaiju we've encountered so far (and closest to Kafka's rating) so it overwhelmed Kafka. It's hell-bent on destroying the strong Kaiju.

Kaiju no8 is become my favorite anime this season for sure.
