Rengoku is figuratively the pilot light for the group, Flame hashira, dies via getting his SOLAR plexus pierced, and then Kagaya hits you with the human will speech which - solar plexus chakra deals with willpower. Symbolism runs all throughout Demon Slayer but few give it credit for that

It’s great they animated all the slayers falling into the castle from all over. I don’t remember tbh but I’m pretty sure in the manga, it only showed the ones who were near Muzan at that time, and I stg for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out how the rest of them got into the castle. I should have just used my head and assumed Nakime found 100 percent of the slayers and transported them like that, but seeing it animated helped a lot.

No?? Gyomei was already there. Uzui would have gotten there at the same time as the other hashira for dramatic effect. Mui and mitsuri were labeled the 2 slowest runners and they pulled up at around the same time as sanemi who is the second fastest runner . That alone shows that if uzui weren't retired and was still a hashira and involved at this point of the story, he would've made it at the same as the rest. Why ? Because for the anime having all of them pull up at the exact same moment adds more hype
