You wouldn't wear what your helmet and gear from your Softail on the dirt bike or vice versa! It's a whole affair! He might need another couple in different colours / themes and styles to suit his different bikes :D I can only really see this one suiting 2 or 3, let's throw some "local" businesses some more business (and get some more content and presents for the Cog crew!) :D

Spray Painter Here. Im used to the Yamaha Blue i use it all the time its my favourite colour. It's called Deep Purplish Blue Metalic Candy 'DPBMC' is its colour code for anyone who needs to know. The genuine stuff is a 3pack but the way its been applied on this helmet wont ever have the true candy look to it in the sun like the Yam bikes have. The reason being is because the three stages of it need done within 10-20 minutes of the other and the clear coat needs put on within a half hour of that to achieve the proper candy look. If you let any stage dry too long or if you touch it before the clear coat is on it especially on the first colour coat stage (like they did in the vid) then subsequntly have to wash or sand it back again you lose its ability to hold the following metalic stage correctly. Doing "control coats" at low pressure at distance with the metalic stage of the paint can somewhat get it to lay decent but the 1 stage colour coat which looks like a completely matted blue does not want touched in any way and if you really must denib or remove dirt before the clear coat then do at the very minimum a light coat of the metalic stage before doing the fix then do your normal coat of the metalic stage as usual followed by ideally 20-30mins of dry up till its no longer wet looking, then fire the clear coat on. You get the proper full candy effect of the paint this way. Same with the red candy Yamaha and Kawasaki candy green. Cheers lads

Im a spray painter here in Scotland i do freehand and proper manual pin striping and the likes. Hes decent but these are stencil designs and kind of basic. If you want a true custom helmet paintjob you need to speak to the real freehand guys. Aldo Drudi is the best about at this level of custom paintjob. Not taking away from the guy but the lid while on its 1 stage of the Yamaha DPBMC the matted blue stage should not have been touched or interfered with in any way. Its critical the first stage of that colour gets layed then left untouched untill the 2nd stage metalic coat is on, followed by the clear. The metalics dont lay right if you sand back or even clean off that 1st stage colour coat or if someone touches it like in the vid. Its a true 3 pack candy you need to apply it correctly for it to have the correct candy look. Loses its depth and colour flip when you dont spray it on right and if you mess with the 1st or 2nd stage washing it or lightly scuffing it back you ruin the metalics in it and they dont sparkle correctly. Ive been doing it 3 decade for the record.

Yeah my mate has a Shoei only head. See even the older Arai Quantum F i had (maybe 1999) that is probably the most brow room of any Arai ever, he can just about sit with that on for a few minutes. Stick my RX7 on him and his brow basically does not fit it theres too much rake angle on the visor from a side perspective. Really weird because i like Shoei fit too but Arai and Shcuberth stay on my head better when wet so dont move side to side as much when im chucking lifesavers about all over the place. Were all different head shapes so is all subjective i suppose.
