    Hey Kenny! Command+Option+Left Drag allows fades across any selected items, regardless of position or tracks. It's one of my favorite features and I use it daily!

    The BEST thing about your videos, is that when you use Effects, you don't whip out some $350 effect that a lot of us maybe can't afford, and instead, you use the stock plugins that come with Reaper while at the same time, showing us that the stock FX work just as good as the expensive ones.

    7:55 I think you can fade them from that position, just hold ctrl + alt while clicking and dragging from the corner of the media items. I think that's the default behavior.

I’m simply trying to setup a mono outboard unit (preamp or reverb) through Reaper. Here’s what I’ve tried. Connections mono Interface SSL 12 with 6 ins / 4 outs Out of SSL 12 to In of outboard In of SSL 12 to Out of outboard Reaper setup here’s where it all go wrong Channel 1 routing Add new hardware out to 3: send to trk 2 Channel 2 print trk = add reaInsert Hardware sends to 3 and Hardware returns to 3 But there is no signal to the outboard gear. I’m lost can you help. Best, Jim

    the subtext of this video is "there is no basic audio editing of a waveform in Reaper". i can't tell if the rest of it is ironic or not. to me basic audio editing is to click on a waveform and select and adjust the gain of any selection. or silence it, or copy it, drag it, process it, scrub it. but it seems Reaper doesn't even let you look at the waveform very closely o.O i am, of course, supremely impressed that it auto-names the track to the name of the audio file. what joy.

    interesting. I was trolling the Reaper vids to see if I could somehow edit out a small blip on the end of held guitar note on a single track. I just want to chop off the tail of it within the track. I'm guessing I'll have to just delete the whole track for that little micro-second, but then I can't move the entire track around or process the entire track like I want. Let me know if you find anything else on editing the waveform itself, if you would please.

    Hi Kenny! Thank you for the excellent videos regarding Reaper! I am a radio producer. I produce broadcasts, podcasts, reports and audio documets. My work is often done very quickly, because that is what my boss requires of me. I've noticed that when I make a cut of a clip with a section removed (and pasted to the end), it's not until I double-press the spacebar that playback starts. It's as if a time buffer is needed. Have you noticed such a situation? It annoys me a lot, because I lose precious time because of it. It happens that in a sound that is 20 minutes long I make several hundred cuts. I work on very powerful computers, so I don't think it makes any difference. It's the same on every computer. I also have the latest version of Reaper. Best regards!

    Hello, in the recording I made in Reaper, there is no fullness in the sound, it seems like the bass is weak, I get a weak output when I compare it with any song, for example, the guitars are very weak, I am not talking about stereo, the sound is good, but it is obvious that the tone is not as bassy, what should I do about this?

    is there a difference btwn healing and glueing?

  • @REAPERMania

    @REAPERMania

    4 ай бұрын

    Healing doesn't create anything new. It just heals the splits. Glue makes a whole new item. And if there is content on on either side that isn't visible, it won't be part of that glueing. Meaning you can't trim it back out.

  • @unclespooky

    @unclespooky

    4 ай бұрын

    @@REAPERMania thanks for the FYI. so if I do any changes, chances are heal isn't going to work, but glue will always stick everything together, as long as the sections are selected. I thought maybe my heal button was broken or I was doing something wrong. Arigato.
