THIS IS QUEENSLANDS Most Scenic Campsite! Have you seen better this close to Brisbane?
We visit Mt Barney Wilderness Retreat only 1.5 hrs south of Brisbane in the beautiful Scenic Rim.
This dog friendly nature reserve near Boonah is privately owned and offers the best camp site in South East Queensland to relax and take in the views.
We enjoy some @offtrackwines with members of the @brisbane4wdclub and cook pizzas in the @driftastockton Pizza Oven.
When the heavy rain hits while camping we shelter under the@DriftaCamping4WD Hexa Tarp which is a great shelter against, rain and the elements.

@@GregsKitchen yes I have mate. Great for a park up camp. Great walks through the forest and nice views too. Good free bush camp down the hill on the Dalby side too

Good to see a Hexatarp getting some good use, and appreciate the tip on the pizza oven temp as ive been trying to work it out on mine. My setup with my FJ is to setup the Hexatarp then have the Oztent undeeneath on the mesh floor. Works great in similar weather conditions.

Hey mate, great video. Interested to know how to get there. I’ve been up the top of Waterfall Creek road plenty of times, up as far as the gate at the lookout up top. Is this one further through that gate? Cheers

Yeah correct. It’s a declared nature reserve so only accessible with permission. It’s called Mt Barney Wilderness Retreat and is just past the Upper Portals walking track
