Same I used to look at football as a barbaric and primitive sport because of how people just barge into each other and tackle. I regret looking at football in that light as Ive realized just how much strategic and tactical depth football truly has. On a coaching, QB or top down level like madden it truly is like a chess game.

As a casual Madden fan, I really appreciate these videos to help me step my game up to the next level.

I don’t even watch football anymore and still find this channel compelling. There’s just something about seeing someone completely in their element and making high school kids cry. Love it!

Love your videos, you transfer the knowledge so well! Could you do one episode with an eye tracker? That way, we would not only know what your reads are but also exactly know when you go to the next read which would be really cool.

Honestly that was the most helpful madden tip I’ve ever seen. I’ve always been pissed that my audible out routes are too short when I know I’ve got man coverage. Knowing you can push it past the sticks is a game changer.

Man, your content is gonna help out the Madden community A LOT. Specially because it's coming from someone who played in the NFL, it gives a new perspective and understanding.

My favourite series of yours, love seeing these analyses. I’d love a video on the Daggers concept. As a rookie playing Madden, it fascinates me that it is so overpowered (for me) so I’d love to know the ideas behind it.

pretty sure with the smart routes you can do both things in one go, just hold right bumper while you press for the out route should simplify your hot routes

right bumper acts as the modifier like on a keyboard it is your shift button so hold that first then the direction of the hot route

So which team in your experience would you say is the hardest to read? As far as them disguising their blitzes and coverages

I probably should practice more (obviously) but the placement and accuracy form of throwing still is difficult for me I often overthrow passes, the classic method is my best option but I’d like to take advantage of the new passing mechanic. Any tips for that??

They play arguably better than Madden games, and it would be awesome to see a NFL-level QB play those games. You can easily find tutorials on KZread that show you how to set up the emulators. How are you able to motion your guy to get further out in the field or closer to you or even to the other side of the field because I’ve tried everything by hitting the B button on an Xbox controller and it doesn’t highlight the other players unless I’m trying to audible their route so I’m kind of confused on that

in high school we would run the hell out of the shallow crossing routes

Call it future madden ratings or whatever tf. I think I’d be cool to hear your opinion on Maye, Penix, Williams, McCarthy etc. your breakdowns are very consumable for us dummies since you know what the modern game is played like first hand. Although hard film analysis probably isn’t as fun and would require a lot of work on your part. Haha

Do the hot route then highlight receiver again like you’re going to do another one but instead hit R1 or RB for the route to extend to the first down
