Allianz Milano clinched a victory over Sir Susa Vim Perugia in the second game of the SuperLega Credem Banca playoff semifinals, extending the match to a nail-biting fifth set which ended 20-18 in favor of the home team. The game, which lasted for three intense hours, was marked by a series of spectacular plays from both teams, highlighting the evenly matched competition.
Despite having three match points in the decisive tiebreak, Perugia couldn’t capitalize, allowing Milano to secure the win with a crucial block by Vitelli. The match featured closely matched statistics, with both teams landing 10 aces and Milano slightly outperforming Perugia in attack percentage and blocks, underlining the tight competition throughout.
Key players for Perugia included Semeniuk with 25 points, Ben Tara with 21, and Plotnytskyi with 19. On Milano’s side, Reggers stood out with 31 points, playing a pivotal role in their victory.
With the series now tied, a Game 3 is set for Sunday in Perugia, where both teams will look to gain an advantage in this tightly contested semifinal.
