Usme gst nahi include kiya hai… as per service calculator Part ka price correct hai labour cost me jhol hai… if we include gst for both part and labour.. toh bill approx 6800 ke aas paas hona chahiye

I didn’t have to change my front brake pads on my corolla diesel till 90k kms. Just purchased new GT virtus. Suspensions very disappointing.

Next time ahlawat se brakepads exchange karlena vo dobara saste me dalvalega 😂👍Dono owner rocks. VW shocks.

Shameful thing Volkswagen not acceptable

Brake pad may be of poor quality leading to quick hardening of the brake pad.

Bro i have been driving a tuned polo for past 7years. The oem pads wear fast in vw & skoda, i suggest you go with brembo / ate pads - its slightly costlier but worth and does not studder/vibrate upon braking. Oem Brake rotors/discs offered by vw/ skoda get heated easily and get scored easily,go for brembo or any other performance brands as its way better. I personally faced these issues with vw and found out that the brake parts are not good though the oem brake strength is fine. Aap other brand try karke dekho it will be blissful. Apka virtus gt ka pads ka cost 5260₹ aur labour 456₹ aana chahiye total 5716₹ - without gst and state specific taxes as mentioned by vw.Aap kitne bar bhi pad/ discs change karoge yehi problem hoga kyunki mein bhi aapki taraf drags and driving karta hun.

Bro it happens in every volkswagen showroom they are trying to make loot customers kam se kam 20k karna for broke down cars. I stayed around two days in volks wagon showroom some car came for abs sensor failure he replaced it in Bangalore,2 days ago now they are saying warranty it not applicable in this showroom he need to go back for 500kms for warranty it seems actually he is heading towards Odisha and he is in the middle of journey

Brake Discs get these linings when brake pads are not changed in time. Damaged discs can also damage new brake pads. This seems to be the reason for your problem. Btw, I thought old Skoda Cars were expensive to maintain. I also got my Brake Pads and disks changed in my Skoda Rapid. They costed me 5200 INR including labour cost (both disks and both pads).

On other point, most of these car owner are pretty harsh on their cars. Or else the break pads should work at least first 50,000 kms.

That's normal with new break pad. Tell them to polish & put so the sound will be gone

When did you buy this car and at what km you changed the pad

Part no of ahlawat's car is different from ur's which they have replaced. It's interchangeable but fitting is same with VAG's other models too. but pricing varies. They did that same.. For ex octavia old model brake pads cost 3500 and old fabia's cost 2900 but they fit each other easily..

Itna dimag sabme hota hai ki video banane se pehle thodi research kare part no. check kare, brakes ki compatibility check kare. Bhai ne 20 lakh diye hai gadi ke liye aur itna bhi nahi kar sakta to kalank hai khud ko youth kehne pe.

The part number is different for both parts....probably as they said its 2 different brake pads.

Unbelievable! Volkswagon has become a baniya company in India. I booked Virtus GT but then cancelled and bought Creta Turbo only because of this reason. It’s been a month and they haven’t even refunded my money. Ek din latth le ke jaunga….

I own a Skoda Rapid 1.0 since April 2021. The same issue happened with my car at 8000kms. My brake pads were fine but both front disks got linings and due to those linings steering get heavy vibration while braking above 80kmph which affected handling. I visited 2 different service stations (Ahmedabad and Udaipur) their answer to my problem was different. One said because of washing car frequently it happend. Another one said due to heavy braking this happend. Both answers were not practical eventually I had to change my brake pads and disks on 2nd service at 25000kms. My friend also owns Rapid we both purchased at same day, this same thing happened with his car too. His car had brake noise in the rear wheel within 6 months therefore in the warranty brakes noise issue resolved.

Haven't faced any vibrations in my Rapid yet but there is rust in the discs. How did they fix the issue?

Just asking doesn't it cover under warranty

This is a problem of the discs they have work out They need to be replaced or a small layer could be machined on lathe

I’ve had a similar problem with my dad’s endeavour. Bhai aap please jis wheel se yeh awaz aa rahi hai uske brake pads recheck karo, yeh sound brake pads ghisne k bad disc me marne pe aata hai mostly.

There are two disc brake sizes available in Kushaq/Taigun and Slavia/Virtus, 275mm & 300mm, the cost for the brake pads is different for both, there has been some confusion between these parts I believe.

this is true as I can see in both bills the part numbers are different. one says *151A and the other says *151B, if they have charged more for the same part then it might be a fraud. But i guess it's not and they both are different size brakes

I own a Slavia 1.5 DSG just the same as urs Skoda version in which I've covered 16k km and brake pads are more than 50% in mine. They have done a huge scam file a case against them. Even though brake pads have wear and tear it can't go that quick in such short run of ur km in Virtus.

Bhai 1.0 and 1.5 me Alg Alg break pads use karte hai alawat me 1.0 wale shyd laga diye honge

I just checked the compatibility with part numbers.. the one they have installed in your Virtus is actually for Taigun & Kushaq. The one installed in Alawat’s car is right part. I can share the screenshots to prove my point.

The 8k price is still too much for front brake pads with engines less than 2000CC. Innova/Xuv/Fortuner heavy vehicles cost 5k-6k for front break pads.

Honda, Toyota, Maruthi .. reliable in indian conditions

There's difference between 1.0TSI and 1.5TSI Brake pads you can see on VW website service cost calculator.

Kahi baar disc brake me pathar fas Jane se bhi brakes lagate time avaz aati hoti he meri VW Polo me bhi same scene tha

S bro iam also getting same sound from brakes in my virtus gt and am also changed brake pads but i changed for 3500 for brake pads and 600 for labour i can share u photo also brake pads box pic and am also got lines in brake disc because of this am getting steering vibration while braking vw became worst in india 2.0 project

@@jephanyadeepak did you check the manual at what kms pad has to be changed. I think for 15k km it is normal, even for bikes they are suggesting to change the pads between 12.5k to 15k km

Both cars have same part name as "BRK LINING" but your car has part no. As 5QP698151B but Ahlawat's virtus has an "A" in the end of part no. i.e 5QP698151A.. ask them what's the difference between those and agr difference hai toh hai kyun.. jab brake pads hi change huye dono same gaadi ke aur agr koi reason hai toh aapne pehle kyun nhi btaya. unse difference amount refund maango, aur vo denge. Ask them to go according to the Official VW service calculator. Aise hazar hazar krke kitno ko lootenge ye. VW VW hi rhegi, 8000 crore m se kuch crore apne aftersales pe lgalete kaash, thodi strictness ki zarurat hai. Virtus leli, maintenance kam hone ke dhoke mai.

It’s not problem in break-pads It’s issue with break disk. As the old break -pads has made break disk little damage. And new break pads is not able to adapt old danger break disk

I changed my Taigun's horn during delivery. They charged me Rs 3000 for the part manufactured in Mar 22. In youtube I saw the same part with same part number at Rs 1999 manufactured in Mar 22 . They make good car but company not too much bothered about service.

Bhai- VW dealers are loots when compared to skoda...skoda is a bit more transparent than VW in terms of service costs and charges .. i got my horn for slavia from skoda for 1500+ labour charges of 350

I have fiat Punto 90hp and it has run 50k but got brake pad changed only once, maybe after 30k or something. Brake sensibly and it will last both the pad and disk for long.

Verna is a poor NCap rating ... Don't buy Hyundai cars ... Stick to Virtus with maintenance package & extended warranty; or buy Honda City, no issues ever 😅

Ye Delhi aur Gurgaon wale VW service center extra charge karte hai har ek cheez ke liye. Mai toh Panipat se karata tha apni polo diesel ki service. Waha labor kafi cheap aur reasonable hai.

Also stop changing parts of the car without knowing. Vw disc brakes are not comparable to hundayi. There parts and mechanism is totally different from any other company.
