My name is Tom, my wife’s name is Danette. I’ve been watching your videos for several months. My first Toyota was a 1989 4-Runner with the 3.0 V6. I never had any problems with it. I bought it with 125,000 miles on it. I was the third owner. I loved that truck. Then I wanted a new truck and bought me a 2003 Toyota Tacoma double cab. I bought it new in 2003. It had the 3.4 liter V6. I got married and bought a 2007 Toyota Tundra Crew Max. I still have it, it only has 107,000 miles on it. It is kept in the garage like all my other vehicles. I am a vehicle maintenance nut and like my cars and trucks to be clean. I live in Virginia. I knew you had to be a Christian. My wife and I are too. I know God will bless you because you listen to his word. Always be kind and helpful with love. I see your love for life and people. Always give God the praise and I see you do. Looking forward to more of your videos. God bless.

Thanks for your videos. I'm a recent subscriber. I'm a Toyota nut as well. First Toyota was a 2000 Celica GT. Totalled it :( Bought a Civic. And never again will I get another Honda. Bought a 2007 RAV4 Sport V6 FWD. After running 175k miles on it, bought a used 2009 RAV4 Sport V6 FWD. The 2GR-FE... they'll never know what hit them ;-) Drove it 235k miles and with the gas prices at astronomical prices here in the Bay Area, bought a used 2019 RAV4 Hybrid XSE (yes! 3 RAV4s in a row!)... and that's when I subscribed to this channel as I wanted learn to do some things to it on my own. I work at a Lexus dealership (in marketing), so I'm as much of a Toyota nut as you are. Fancy editing and effects isn't going to keep me here. It's your genuineness and knowledge and teaching them in easy terms that keeps me here. Thank you again. Also... I'm a believer as well. Great way to witness to others! And I know, at times, it's hard being a Christian in a dealership environment. Peace to you, my brother.

I'm originally from China, been here for 40+ years and consider myself an American, as this is the life I know. My very first Toyota was a 1989 Camry. It was not the best car with not great memories as I was ripped off by the dealership that sold the car to me. It was my first new car and I was really taken advantage of from the buying experience. I also had a 1997 4runner that really did make me happy to be a Toyota owner. I became a true Toyota fan after purchasing my first 2008 Prius in 2011. I was fascinated by the technology on that car. I went on to buy many more Prius cars and became somewhat of an expert with them. I'm a big contributor to the Priuschat forum, sharing my knowledge to help others who are in need of help with their Prius cars. It's a very rewarding feeling when you get to help someone. I now have upgraded to a Rav4 Hybrid, Honda S2000, Subaru BRZ, and a 2020 Toyota Supra. I will always be a true Toyota fan and this channel has helped me in understanding why Toyota is such a great company. From their great products, great support, and their great employees. Hats off to you sir for being such a great and helpful person in this community.

I’m a little late to the game, but I’m from central Canada and my first Toyota was a Corolla. I bought my first Japanese car a few years before that (03 Civic) but mostly had American vehicles prior to that (a couple South Korean too.) I only used the civic around the yard and within a couple miles from home. I was super impressed with the build quality. Then I bought the wife a 2006 Corolla CE. She fell in love with it. So much that I sold my car and bought myself a 2010 Corolla XRS with a 5 speed. Beautiful car, but it had that one of very few engines Toyota made that was a flop (because of the piston rings.) That 2.4L also was super thirsty. I sold it an bought a 2014 Corolla S with the 1.8L and a six speed. Best car I’ve ever had!

I just discovered your channel, and being a DIY Toyota fanatic, immediately subscribed. My family immigrated from North Vancouver, Canada when I was 2 years old. My first Toyota was a 1978 Corolla SR5 liftback (the features and quality of that car was a real eye-opener). My current fleet is a 2001 Corolla, 1999 Tacoma 4x4, 2006 Highlander, and 2014 Lexus ES350 (wife's car). Your story is a perfect example of USA being a land of opportunity (to work hard, succeed and contribute to our society). For too many, its an opportunity to take government assistance and be a drain on our society. Congratulations.

I'm from and still am in Wisconsin. After a six year stint in the military, I went to MMI and certified in Harley-Davidson training, and spent seven years in a Harley Dealership, earning Master technician status, before going independent. I learned to love little hatchbacks, and wore out three Civics in a row. Honda quit building what I consider proper hatchbacks, so I bought a Pontiac Vibe. Than another. And another. My kids are owning and buying them. The Corolla driveline is a breeze to work on, reliable as white on rice, parts are cheap and plentiful. I couldn't convince my boy to buy one, so we found an '02 Avalon for $1500 for him... That's our first legit Toyota. No regrets. Wishing you fame, fortune, good health and happiness.

I had a crash at 120km/h on the highway (not my fault) and the car protected me, my sister and aunt. With 31000km and 1.5 years the repair was more then the car value. Got everyone around me to convert to TOYOTA and into HSD. Finally after 14 years I'm back with a 2017 Toyota Auris TS HSD (Corolla E18). My wife first own car is a 2008 Yaris HB 5 Door D4D (Diesel). I live outside of the KC KS area and the first Toyota that I drove was a 1979 Celica GT hatchback that my father owned. (My father also owned a '82 Supra, '83 Celica GT and an early '80's Toyota stakebed truck). My first Toyota that I owned was a 1988 Corolla FX. Unfortunately, I sold that car and went astray for many years from Toyota. However, after driving a rental Camry on a long road trip a couple of years ago, I decided to rejoin the Toyota family by buying a 2019 Camry LE and have never looked back! In fact, my wife loves my car so much, that she is trading her Equinox for a '21 RAV4 XLE (that we currently have on order). May God continue to bless you and your family and many thanks again!

Congratulations mate. I’m from Sydney Australia and have been working on cars with my father from 8 years old (now 50 yrs old). I started for the same reasons while getting quality time with dad. As a result dad returned the favour by handing over his run about. That was a Toyota Corona wagon which was my first car. I was in love. I drove it around the country and spent many nights even sleeping in it. I didn’t exactly treat it gently and neither did my brother who inherited it. My dad was a Ford man but my family knew deep down Japanese was the way to go. Love Toyota’s engineering and will always have at least one in the family. Nice to see a nice persons hard work get recognised.

Good morning to you. Even though this is a couple of years old it just popped up on my radar on KZread. I always wanted to know your backstory so I’m glad I got a chance to hear it. My first Toyota is the one I’m currently driving which is a 2013 Toyota Highlander. I watch Scotty Kilmer and he has mentioned Toyotas and that’s what started my focus on it and then I came across your channel and your expertise on Toyotas has been indispensable to me. I like watching your videos and they’ve been very informative. I’m glad that your subscribers continue to grow and in that couple of years it looks like you’ve picked up a couple hundred thousand more. Also love the fact that you are a Christian and that you were values do show through and your desire to help people. Keep up the great work and may you prosper in all you do.

AMD, Thank you for sharing your story. I was very happy to hear it and not surprised to find out that you have faced real adversity. You project the gratitude of someone that has had their life turned upside down and decided to make the best of themselves. It was apparent to me in the first video I saw of you that you took doing this seriously enough to do the job well. In each and every video of yours I've seen the content is well thought out and paramount to your effort. Not an easy task. You care (it's apparent) and that makes all the difference. I'm awaiting the delivery of my 2021Toyota 4Runner Limited, late this August. Meanwhile, I'm still nursing my first Toyota, a 2009 Highlander along. It has 467,517 miles on it. I live in Balsam Lake, WI and wish you much continued success. I'm certain its coming your way. A much belated, Welcome to America!!!

My dad bought me a 2001 RX300. The dash was lit up like a Christmas tree. I spent hours/days fixing every problem. I installed knock sensors, spark plugs, coils, flushed the coolant and engine oil. It ran amazing for 4 years. My new project is a 1996 LS400. I just recently put a OEM timing belt, water pump, tensioner, new plugs, plug wires, gaskets, fuel pump, starter, fuel injectors etc. all parts OEM thru Toyota, using my best friends discount. He’s a master tech at Toyota, just like you worked his way up from doing oil changes. it’s def a hobby after fixing up the RX300. I wish you would do more 1UZFE videos! Thanks for all your content! Last I’ve been dealing with a weird fuel issue where the car smells of gas when running and stinks my house up. Ended up opening the ECU and found blown resistors. The new one came in a few days ago but I’m still working on putting everything back together. If I had a ? Would you suggest leaving in the comment box or do you allow emails from fans? Ty

Great story! This country needs more immigrants of your integrity. I have gained a great perspective from watching and hearing your perception of the strengths and weaknesses of every automobile you review. You and I value the same characteristics in a car. I am also a Christian from Southeast Texas. I have never owned a Toyota but now that I'm retired, it is critical that I conduct my life with care to be the best steward that I can be. For that reason, I intend to buy a used Avalon in the near future. I like the idea of a naturally aspirated V6 and the luxury of a roomy sedan. The strictures imposed by the EPA have had the effect of straining a gnat while swallowing a camel. Whether purchasing more fuel or spending at least as much money on parts, labor, and downtime, the EPA has served up cost with scant benefit to our nation as well as the world. You are the best and your now- >600k subscribers are well earned. I have been a subscriber for only a little over one year and wish I'd discovered your channel much sooner. Thank you!

Greetings AMD (and family) from the great state of Tennessee! Your story, and that of your family's immigration to America and finding it to be a gateway to personal success is truly inspiring! We hear so many complaints about this country from people who were blessed to be born here, that it just blesses us to our core to see others find this the land of Opportunity! You're running a great channel, and I expect it to just keep growing and predict you'll be at 1 Million subscribers by this time next year, if not sooner! But loving Toyota the way we do, I was just ecstatic at finding a Channel that specialized in all aspects of Toyota's (and an occasional Lexus!!) My family and I have owned 5 Toyotas over the years: '07 Camry (still owned by a family member), '08 Yaris (totaled in an accident by a (ugh) Ford F150), '07 Solara (traded for a Tundra), '13 Avalon, '14 Tundra! By far and away my favorite Toyota is the Tundra! First truck that I ever owned! But my wife just loves the styling and the ride of her Avalon. The Avalon and Tundra just keep performing so well and we have no inclination to trade them! We still like their appearance, and the ride quality seems to stay comparable to what we'd expect out of a new vehicle, so why trade? If we did acquire another vehicle I'm convinced that it's be another Toyota, because the styling and the ride has convinced us that they're the best car manufacturer in the world! BUT, my dream car is the Lexus LC500 convertible, which AMD has reviewed on the CCN channel! I don't expect to ever get one unless I win the Lottery (Ha!) But I was considering a '23 Tundra! But the prices seem to have sky rocketed (as on all cars) and I'm still unsure about the V-6 Turbo in the Tundra. And truly, I'd just hate letting go of the great 5.7 V-8 engine. As great as things have been for the CCN Channel, I predict that the best is yet to come!

Hi there my friend... I m responding to your video's for the first time, just to give you congrats for a serious work that you're doing through these video's. I m from Athens Greece, and my first ride as a driver was on a Toyota Corolla 1,2 lt 1969, which was our first family car. After some years I got my first car of my own, a Honda CIVIC 1,2lt 1976 ( a used one ). Both cars did more than 150.000 miles with no issues at all. During the next 40 years I 've owned quite a lot cars ( Italian, French, GBs and mainly from Germany ). Unfortunately none of them were so reliable as the Corolla and the CIVIC. Of course so know that cars are getting less reliable as they get more and more complicated. Any way after all these years I 've decided and I 've ordered some days ago the new 11 th generation CIVIC e: hev. I m so excited to go for this car after 10 generations and check by myself, how far the car has come, and if its still reliable as my first one was. Thanks for all you do for all of us..Dino

As a Maltese 73 year old professional mechanic, I found your videos fascinating because your philosophy towards technology is so close to mine. My first personal Toyota was a Vitz…..However as I worked in the Libyan desert in the oil fields for over 30 years, I used to drive Toyota Land Cruisers with from the 1978 until 2005! Maltese is very close to Lebanese Arabic ….And most of us are Christians too.
