    Hey there! I love this video, and you are so right! So, my mom is older and she's disabled, which means I have to do her hair a lot. On wash day, I noticed that her hair always looks longer than before. She loves looking in the mirror to see how long it's gotten and it makes her feel beautiful and amazing when her hair is down. She always tells me, "Brittany, you made me look like a movie star!" After she's done admiring her new growth, I wash and oil her hair and then move on to the next protective style.❤

    What's the point of having long hair if it's always covered. Also, why is her hair only bra length after 10 years+???🤔

  • @sg5720

    @@a.sydney5036are hair is different than most, breakage can happen easily and believe it or not. It is what it is. My hair finally bra strap because I figured out leaving it alone was the key. I wear braids majority of the time maybe 4 months oout the year I will wear my own hair. My hair is out right now by summer back in braids, wear it out in the fall and back in braids in the winter. That works for me. It’s our texture is diff rent, so some of us have to be extra precautions. We just prone to breakage 🤷🏽‍♀️💕

  • @septemberterry6469

    @septemberterry6469

    4 ай бұрын

    Not sure why it took 10 years, mine was bra length after 2 years, it’s now about 24 inches or longer haven’t checked in awhile. But the point is you get 6 inches per year. Your ends are the oldest part of your hair and need the most protection. What happens is hair will grow to a certain length and then breakage occurs. If you are constantly styling with heat , washing combing dying processing it’s so much opportunity for damage to occur. After I achieved the length I wanted I started wearing my own hair out but not all the time. Bc of what I mentioned above. After it’s grown out it’s really up to you to maintain its length if you want to keep your hair long and healthy, protective styles are key. Other types of woman have naturally oily lunricated scalps that produce hair growth. That is the reason they have to wash there hair all the time bc it becomes greasy. We don’t , we have to apply oils to our hair. Dry hair breaks off. Now if you think about what I just said it makes sense why they are able to grow long hair effortlessly, not all but some. So our hair is much more high maintenance and it’s strong. It can endure a lot of heat and braids but that puts a lot of stress on the hair and it’s not good all the time. Protective styles allows your hair to grow without the stress and less chance of breakage. This is why leaving it alone works.

    I know quite a few ppl that say the same about letting their hair stay a mess like this for periods of time makes it grow. It’s crazy and funny how certain things promote hair growth for different ppl. Unfortunately, I can’t do this! If I just let my hair go like this it just gets brittle and breaks off…even while using different oils and etc. I’ve noticed that keeping mine oiled, washed, and in a better “kempt” state grows mine…and quickly! Either/or, I love this video🤎‼️
