And eight most children diagnosed with lgs will continue to have seizures through adulthood. Three main things help doctors make a diagnosis of lgs multiple types of seizures, slow development delays in mental and or physical motor skills. An abnormal eeg or brain wave pattern. Doctors use a test called an eeg to measure and record brain waves. The majority of people with lgs have a mixture of different types of seizures. Most people with lgs have frequent seizures. Daily seizures are also common. If you've never seen someone have a seizure, it might be scary the first time. But as with many things, once you know what to expect, it can be easier to understand and recognize. Many people with lgs have seizures that can cause drop attacks. A drop attack is when a person has a seizure that makes To fall down these drop attacks can be caused by multiple seizure types and may affect just the head or the whole body resulting in a fall. With drop attacks. It is important to protect the person who is seizing to help prevent serious injury. That's why some people with lgs may wear a helmet. Lgs is a lifelong condition. And although there isn't a cure, doctors have ways to help manage it. In addition to seizures, people with lgs also have some challenges with. Learning the challenges vary greatly from person to person, but we work hard to understand what our loved ones need and to make sure they have the support to reach their own potential. I was diagnosed when I was 15 or 16 this video is a little dramatic because I also have high functioning autism too and all that does to me is just makes me a little socially awkward sometimes and it’s something that can always be worse like I’m almost 28 and I’m a little different but if you plan things based on assuming everything will be fine and having a back up plan for things that are just too much to go through at the last minute than life with epilepsy and or autism can be pretty normal and it really helps everything if you trust Jesus Christ because life is hard enough when you aren’t diagnosed with anything let alone adding any medical conditions and I’m not trying to be mean but for people that have never tried listening to the Bible by yourself it’s life changing because it’s one of those things in life where you can try life miserably for as long as you want but what good do you get out of that because when you decide to ask Jesus Christ to come into your life and save you from the mess you might think you are it’s like Jesus Christ really does swoop into your life and makes ALL things new and you are in my opinion less likely to die from a medical condition because Jesus takes your mess that you think you might be and he make you whole again and it’s like you have less stress and he takes control of the things that really were so hard in life and makes you calmer and gives you clarity and mercy and God anyone that read this that is struggling because there really is a light 💡 at the end of every tunnel and that lights name is Jesus Christ and that all I have to say about that right now just try because when your health is gone Jesus Christ brings the calm before and after the storm and bring mercy ✝️❤️🕊🙏😃👍

Each day can b a battle but I always end up refuging myself in god and he’s my sons savior each day we go through it. @@justforfunny7674 Oh yeah, sure. Praise the God that gave them the serious condition in the first place. That makes perfect sense! I have nothing against religion but it's stuff like this makes no sense to me. If you believe in God then you also believe God is "All good" and doesn't makes mistakes. Then God gave you a condition that is very serious and deadly in some cases. Hell, just one seizure can kill someone. So why love, trust and put faith in something that makes it so you might die young? Asking God for healing doesn't make sense to me either. If God doesn't make mistakes then why would God need to heal anyone? I can understand some things like things we have some impact on. Like making choices you may not seen as negative at first. But with Epilepsy and Autism the brain is literally wired that way. So that means God made that brain to be like that. So why heal that brain if no mistakes were made. That's like saying something needs to be fixed when there's nothing wrong. So either God is not all Good and like to do experiments on humans or God is all good but makes mistakes. This is just a vent and not meant to make anyone upset. This comment is also not an invitation to "make me see the light" I am not interested. I am currently looking at LGS as a possible diagnosis so I have no interest in loving something that planned to give me something that could kill me before I'm ready. I already had two close calls with seizures. I don't need LGS thrown into the mix.
