This is very revealing, and shows very simply that good people live, work and coexist, whatever the climate or other factors. I was brought here by the TV series 'Rebecka Martinsson' and wanted to do some research. I have a massive regard for the Swedish people and their way of life, a Nordic dream state. As a Scotsman, I consider myself a 'northener', and am uncomfortable in a high temperature country, even the south of France. Oh, and the actress who is in the lead role of Martinsson is so nice-looking, just saying!

Sad to see my home town where I'm typing this from is getting completely reworked... I will feel like a tourist in 70% of the town for a while. I can look forward to when the current centre of the town is closed of and abandoned, then we will get many years to re-explore the area before most of it falls into the pit :) Jumping fences, looking around trying to revive memories.. Ahh. I gotta remember to snap a couple hundred photos all over the town to keep and show to future children and grandchildren. Who will live in a completely different town. Well, almost, 3 parts of the town will still remain. :D Amazing work on this video guys!

At least it gets reworked ;) My hometown malmberget was totaly demolished, they moved k(culture) marked buildings and the rest got tore down almost nothing left. Gällivare is in total chaos as they try to rebuild whith no money left it has all halted now and down town gällivare looks like an open pit mine. They blew all the money on som fancy buildings. But hey thats what shitty politicians get you!

While Kiruna is certainly a very big municipality is not the second in the world, there are many coming before it such as Sermersooq in Greenland being the first in the world (a ridiculously huge area covering 531,900 Km2, basically whole France if we exlude all its overseas departments) then on the same island we find the real second place Avannaata with still an impressive area of 522,700 km2, Hulunbuir in China (still humongous, it measures 263,953 Km2 making it as large as the UK), Jiuquan also in China with 191,342 Km2, Altamira in Brazil with its 159,533 Km2 followed by Qeqqata (115,500 Km2) and Kalgoorlie-Boulder, the Australian municipality mentioned in the video (95,575 Km2)

not at all. Kiruna the city only exists because of the mine. Without the mine there would be no reason for anyone to stay. But since the mine endangers the city where it is right now, the city has to move. It has nothing to do with greed and all about the mine beeing the reason the city exists.
