Thanks for discovering Dimash. It's pronounced Deemaash. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and he currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1(B0) - whistle D8 off the piano) At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert). But many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was amazing. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Please react to Sinful Passion next. And watch the videos till the end and you will see how kind and lovely he is. And I always recommend turning on the subtitles, if available. Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. OK, where to start? Dimash is 28 years old from Kazakhstan and has a rabid worldwide fan base in the millions he calls his Dears. He is a megastar in China, Russia and is s national treasure in Kazakhstan. His first album "iD" in 2019 in China went platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum in an hour. A second album was released in Russia in 2021 in collaboration with Igor Krutoy, a billionaire Ukrainian/Russian music mogul and composer. SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages, this song was in French (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin). He plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave 2 semi-tone range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. Dimashified?😂 He has that effect on people. This song, 'SOS d'un terrien en détresse'' (French, SOS from an earthling in distress') is from the French - Canadian rockopera 'Starmania' from 1979. Originally sung by Daniel Balavoine, a French pop-rock singer, who tragically died in a helicopter crash age only 33, in Mali, Northwest Africa. Dimash did Lionel Richie's 'Hello' his own, without leaving the original, AMAZING. He has also made a cover of Queen's 'The Show Must Go On', which would have left Freddie Mercury both proud and a little envious. These were from the Chinese TV show/competition 'Singer', 2017, when he was 22. Another one from that TV show is the song 'Opera 2'. It's not opera, but kinda shocking 😆. He's 28, from Kazakhstan and has been musically educated since the age of 5, he's a singer, composer, plays numerous musical instruments, has sung in 15 different languages and is arguably the best voice on the planet at this time. He’s incredible. Try Stranger from New Wave 2021. It’s in English and shows various vocal techniques he can do. He sings opera thru to rap. Dances, composes, directs, models, acts. Plus he is respectful, humble, patriotic, generous, hardworking and loving. Always trying to be more educated and improve his craft.

You should also try out Sinful Passion, Stranger, Adagio, Hello, & All by Myself. You may also want to check out Daybreak but make certain you have tissues. That song is based on a true story of a cable car accident in China. Everyone died except for a 2 1/2 year old boy. His father managed to lift him to safety. The woman who adopted him wrote the song from his point of view.

There is one thing you should know: this is "entry-level" Dimas (pronounced like "Dim Ash" ) . His others so,ngs will blow your mind.... Every single one of them. A good follow up song of his would be "Sinful Passion" or "Opera 2".
