I feel like one of the reason Willjum is growing so fast is because his playstyle is much more relatable for the average player. It's pretty refreshing watching a Willjum style video instead of pvp chads

Apart from the very satisfying nuances in all Willjum’s videos, I’ve realised that his positive way of thinking is what I appreciate the most. That sort of mindset and kind self talk can well and truly carry you through life. Thank you mate, for being that kind voice after a bad day.

CONGRATS ON 700K !!! You deserve it with your story telling, and your fun, action packed, vibing, rust videos. I like how you make them in your own style and dont copy others. I look up to how you play rust because of your nice and cosy bases, your action and you actually progress pretty good. (i most of the time dont so...) So Congrats and i hope you can live your dream for many years to come! -Noah
I love that he start his video with silent song then relaxing sound of himself. Love from Uzbekistan 💛

10:15 please note if you are doing the left and right click thing that there is a little more to it. 1. You need to either click them both at the same time or hold down left click and then right click 2. It will upgrade dependent on whats in your inventory and what is the next upgrade tier. So if you want to upgrade from twig to stone you will need to drop any wood in your inventory because wood is the next upgrade tier from twig. 3. This isnt relevant to the upgrade thing but when using the nailgun theres a weird animation issue where you think you have it reloaded but you dont so when using one make sure to double check the ammo amount

My best I played was making a base near gas station but not too close, if there’s a mini hatchet going to train it’s a plus, near Abandoned Military Base is a huge plus too. Military base is quite OP because it spawns so quickly and after you have semi rifle it’s easy to farm up.

I remember learning how to get a base down from a KCMO beginner tutorial back in the day. Pre-components. Roofless base. Don't use keylock. Build yourself in and out until you get a code lock. I'd farm up all the material to build a 2x1, stashing in a stash as I went to not lose it all. Throw the whole thing down in like 30 sec after having all the necessary materials for a 2x1, including a furnace. Game is so different now.
So much action, and still I am super relaxed. Love watching your videos man, keep it up! Love the background music, even the minecraft one x) Sidenote: Your voiceover voice sounds exactly like Andy from Headspace - no wonder everyone is relaxing when watching your vids! :D
You really channeled your inner spoonkid on this one :D
I'm a solo player as well and got my 1.4k hours now, you and spoon are my favorite rust players and i love your videos dude! keep up the good work much love
It doesn’t quite go into the sa level as detail as Lypur’s videos, but it gives you a great overview of the “basics” - so that you can start
I love the calmness my man. It's super hard to do sometimes, but it really does make playing the game so much better if you just stay calm and enjoy.
Grateful for you wiljum, can't believe I hadn't found you sooner
Now this is why I love Will so much he keeps a cool head and thinks of the best outcome for ever situation
the song at 46:10 is forever burned into my brain as Willjum's, the same way "Be a King" by e-Dubble is associated with Max Mears for me. And I liked e-Dubble before that, but still its become a cool sort of tv-theme song association. Love it
Just wanna say thank you this is gonna come in clutch for me. Been trying it in my own messing around but I’ll definitely try your method and let you know
Man, I just found out your channel and I'm absolutely loving your content! it's just too cool to watch. The sound track you choose, the way you behave with the other players and the idea of being a builder instead of a pvp chad sounds just great for me that makes me want to watch every video you have! congrats, man! keep on going that way and I'm sure you'll get a ton of viewers for sure! you always ask for suggestions, so here's mine. If possible, I'd tell you to build a base that's not only useful, but also confortable. A base in which you feel like home, with rooms, fireplace and furniture all around. not mentioning the rugs I noticed you just love hahaha. Would that be a good idea? thank you again for your videos! wish you the best

Great solo gameplay. I'm a solo rust player, but out of practice and haven't been playing for a while. You almost motivate me to give it another go, but you're also way better than me. You're much faster which is the biggest thing, and your aim is more on point than mine.
Willjum dropping some serious life advice in a Rust video. Nice one!
My favorite is to farm stone to sell at outpost for wood, hit barrels and find sewing kits or rope with enough components for 75 metal frags, and making a crossbow which is a really nice prim weapon when starting out
Hey thx for the vid I love falling asleep to your vids. Keep creating. It feels like every other rust vid is the exact same but you bring a whole new vibe to the rust community.
I like what you did with the rock smashing. Coordinating it with the beat. Nice touch
I just have to say a big thank you for introducing me to this game (and I suppose the YT algorithm as well, minor actor in this play). Because of you I went out and found and xBox X just to play this game. I'm solo and just learning the game. I haven't PVP'd yet but just farm for now and learn how to build. Maybe I'll just have to upgrade to a more modern PC and play the PC version. Again, thank you for your videos.

No need to thank people for support. You just make good well thought "movies". Clear to see you did put some work into it but didnt over do it.
