I plan on making my own hair styling Gel, I’m not quite sure the difference between Aristoflex and Carbomer to make the formula. I really love the way AVC reacts. But, is Carbomer the standard?

Great video love. I've been trying to formulate a hair pomade with an humectant such as honey but the honey doesn't bind with the oils, butters and waxes I use in my product. I use a stick blender and wand but it doesn't bind it together without the honey finding a way to seep through the product at some point. It has made improvement but I want to get it right. Also, I have problems melting the beeswax pellets completely. What do you recommend I do to fix this honey and beeswax problem?

Hi Chanel, our email was actually down for a bit while we transferred our DNS information so none of our emails came through. Our new site is now live and you’re able to just purchase directly from the site now instead of having to fill out the order form. mybclabs.com

It would be great to see it how formulation happens from the beginning. As in how do you even get to what percent should be used to calculate it into grams. Like how do I know I wanna us 15 percent of a product?

Most cosmetic ingredients suppliers will indicate a range of percentage to use for each ingredient. After that its up to you to choose the percentage for each ingredient.

Its trail and error you need to decide which ingredient you want to highlight and work from there. She has a workbook online it helped me a lot!

I wish you could have showed it to us as well! Yes, I am confused! But it's not your fault. I remember my fifth grade math teacher telling me, "little girl, as long as you live, math will always be a part of your everyday life, no matter what you do or become!". I see her face right now in you. You must understand that what you're teaching is not body butters or lotions, it's mathematics! To you, Sis, I say thank you for trying! To anyone else out there like me, do homework with your children and grandchildren! Make them teach you everything their learning! When they go to sleep, get into those backpacks, hopefully there's nothing in there but knowledge! You may not have time for a full time class but, check your community bulletin boards and libraries. Learn whatever, whenever! Most home business owners have accountants. Those accountants are usually people like Bernie Madoff!
