Finally someone using Sigma’s shield like you’re supposed to, I’ve seen way too many Sigma players just leave his shield out for way too long, or just not recalling it back in general. His shield is only meant to take up initial damage, not stay up and soak a lot.

It’s crazy you say this because I’m one of those people I use the shield like I’m playing rein and it hasn’t worked out but recently I to use it as a reactionary tool to help cover the team/ block enemy LOS and it’s worked much better

Huh. Well my first rew hours of tank were on sigma so I didn't have to break the rein shield mentality. I tried for the first five minutes and then realized I wasn't playing right then switched over using shield as reaction and to peak a corner real quick to stop widow headshots

@@derfine6513 Also a mindset thing + he's been through these kinds of rates. Having a positive mindset is kinda necessary to rank up, being tilted isnt helpful after all. And after sitting through so many seasons in ow1, its harder for you to be affected.

Watching you has helped my Sigma game play so much. Because of you he's now my favorite tank and I finally understand his kit. Thank you for the great content.

Having amazing supports really enables tanks to be able to play like this. As a tank main, I’ve always been able to absolutely roll like this whenever I have an awesome support pocket.

Im naturally an aggressive tank and am always creating or at least attempting to create pressure and I find it very hard to do so when I dont have a support putting out the heals they need to. But those matches where I do have those amazing supports and consistent heals/boosts I tend to steamroll teams.

Weird. When the game first came out I saw 2 people "kill themselves" on Junker Queen's ult. Kill feed is kinda buggy lol

i think its because when the junk stops controlling the tire it isnt his anymore so it gives the killfeed color to the person who destroyed it

I think circuit is sigmas best map. That second point high ground is so easy to attack and hold, as well as all the long sight lines and medium range engagements.

I love sigma on that map! Perfect size for ult and good corners to peek

Sigma is such a good tank. I still struggle with timing the ult though...

I'm new. The first few times I faced a sigma I was thinking "how do you kill this guy? He's so OP". Then I figured I'd try him out, since he's so good right? Lol, no. He is definitely a technical character and I really have a goal to play him well some day.

The biggest problem I see with sigma players is not pulling their shield. I’ve had a team fight where sigma left his shield up after we won the team fight. Then he had to pull it during next team fight and he had to either wait for the shield to replenish or wait for the cooldown so he went into a team fight with no shield. Also sigma has a ton of shield health meaning it replenishes on its own. So make sure to pull your actual shield before it gets broken so it replenishes faster. Shield management is the biggest strength you can have as a sigma

This reminds me of a story. I was playing ow2 as sigma. Entire enemt team was on point, used my ult, would have been perfect. But it BROKE. IT DIDNT DO ANYTHING.

I play mostly tank and sigma is my favorite one to play and I was looking Over my quickplay win percentage and I have a 75 win percentage with him! That's crazy since any other characters I consider myself good at are at most 50 percent.. my competitive win percentage is not as good.... haha

well sigma is the BEST tank for most maps/situations

When ever I hit Zarya with Sigma's Accretion, it seems to rarely count as a hit and only splash damage. I watch it hit her from my cam, their cam, free cam, and it hits her but doesn't knock her back. I don't get it. She is the only character this happens to for me.

Dude plays Sigma like a Spartan and Boxer. Actively using the shield to negate attacks and using primary like a jab/spear. Also he's constantly sticking and moving.

What are your thoughts on pushing sigma shield past an enemy player to block heals and your team dumpsters that one enemy?

He did it at least once this video... but to answer your question, yeah. Pushing the sigma barrier to block incoming heals is a very smart play

Right around 1000hrs vested in him. Don't really play anyone else. Couldn't care less lol

Not to brag or anything but I’ve gotten 30-40 kills with sigma with the most damage, I feel like I may be the one of the best sigma players

Hmmmm. In the first few minutes, you disengage from Hog when he is very low HP and no vape. Could you explain what the reasoning was behind this? EDIT- this is something you do through out the game.

I watched again for 4 minutes and don't understand what you mean. If you could provide a timestamp that'd be pretty cool, but there are a multitude of reasons why you'd want to back up against a hog that's "low hp" and no breather. The reason I put low hp in quotation marks is because it's super easy for people to get baited by that, and in a false sense of security you'll go in deeper than necessary or take a 1v1 that you thought was winnable only to find out that now his kiriko or genji is with him and now you're dead and you lose point. But some reasons for backing up include: Hog has hook, hog is backing up too much and sigma is slow- if you go in and even manage to get the elim, you'll still lose the next fight bcs you fed. You might not have the cooldowns necessary to make the push. You might lack the help (might be down a player or two) or the health. Hog is also very chunky, even if he appears to be low health, if you pursue and end up missing even a single shot or two (bcs of your slow fire rate) and if he manages to pick up even a single mini health pack- that can make the ultimate difference in who wins that 1v1. Hog is huge, but you'd be surprised by the amount of shots you can miss on him lmfao

He's so well rounded, there is space for him to counter hog, dva, sigma, rein and pretty much any character he just has to use his abilities carefully

the fact that you have to play another game while waiting to play the actual game you want to play screams volumes. ow2 is just a reskinned ow1 where they took out gold medals because ppl are spineless wussies. you cant change my mind.
