Poland has had bad experience with Russia for centuries and no one knows Russia better than Poles. Poland had previously warned Western Europe against getting too close to Russia, where trade with it serves to strengthen Russia militarily, but the West treated Poland's suggestions as Russophobia and it attacked Ukraine. Europe woke up to the fact that in a potential attack by Russia, Europe accustomed to peace did not invest in waxy and unprepared.

@@samoht.p Sadly it is, some Poles like Pilecki risked their life to enter Auschwitz and check the situation Polish intel distributed it to the Allies. Asking for help, they were even shocked about the attrocities. This was ignored -

It should be mentioned that the alliances concluded before World War II did not fulfill their obligations and did not help Poland during the attack by Germany and Russia in 1939. However, after World War II, the Allies with whom Poles fought betrayed the Poles (Yalta Conference) and Poland was handed over under the rule of the Soviet Union. Hence, in Poland, World War II ended in 1989. Poland knows that it cannot count on alliances 100% and must take care of its own security.

Poland also bears responsibility for the Baltic countries. In the event of a war between these countries and Russia, Poland will send its troops to defend these countries. And it can be done really quickly, in just a few hours.
