Ive's debut was ICONIC especially their song it's a bop!!!

I didn't even follow Iz*one that much, besides some title tracks, but this debut totally reeled me in! All the girls are super charismatic and attention grabbing, the song is super catchy and the choreo is really addictive. Also, considering they are so young, it is really amazing how good they are! Looking forward to their success!

Same! I never looked into IZ*ONE but knowing 2 members from there were in here is cool. Yujin’s & Wonyoung’s voice is something i never heard, but Wiz*ones are lucky to hear that before me (except knowing that Wonyoung was straining her voice to become higher previously, but her natural voice holds so much POTENTIAL it’s CRAZY. I’m glad she got too let her voice rest from being too high all the time, it’s nice to see idols FINALLY get a BREATHE.

@@um_runa Wonyoung was not "straining" her voice in IZ*ONE tho, she simply sang in a higher pitch. Wonyoung's "natural voice" is actually pretty high and she even said that she feels more comfortable singing in a higher pitch than a lower one

Agreed. I knew of Wonyoung (sorry Yujin) due to her popularity in Izone (congrats for her hard work!) but Liz really caught my eyes and the SECOND the MV started playing with them on the floor doing the hand thing with the gloves on…. I was sold. Liz pulled me in. I also noticed Rei too. And then as the MV went along I was wowed by just the aura of Yujin. I can’t wait for their comeback! They’re gonna be one of my all time favorite groups I can just feel it. Eleven is such a good song outside being “kpop”. I’m all for Itzy and Aespa but I don’t really like their songs enough to listen to it at work or driving to home like Eleven is for me! And the dance is super catching as well. I’m obsessed with IVE!

At first, i questioned starship on why they debuted a literal 14 year old. But when their song came out, you can see her presence on stage and how beautiful her voice and dance is. She deserves her spot in ive and will always be.

They're all such Littles, my daughter's age (18)and younger. Such incredibly talented young ladies. I've really enjoyed their debut. One of the best Debuts I've seen throughout the years, many many years, that I've listened to in Kpop and Jpop.

I'm with you, but imo, only for So Bad by stay-c, which was unbelievable for any debut song. I can't understand Korean, but that song is just so sick.

for the ppl that dont know there is actually no offcial main vocalist and no official face of the group. the girls only have vocal, rapper, leader,maknae positions.

In IZ*ONE, I didn't pay much attention to Yujin and Wonyoung because in IZ*ONE they all shining so brightly just alone. But when WY and YJ formed in IVE, I just realize how super awesome talented these two teens are. Her voice are addicting, and performance alone wah. They never had a chance to showcase their voices in IZ*ONE especially WY, and in IVE it is refreshing to saw her growth!

Wonyoung practiced singing very hard. in izone era,there are some criticism about wonyoungs vocal skills.IZ*ONE didn't suppress winyoung's potential.

I was late of being a Stanner of Izone so IVE, Yuri and other izone members debuting is so yay

Also, you can watch Wonyoung as a host on Music Bank with Sunghoon from Enhypen. She's really excellent as a MC!

Not you forgetting BOYFRIEND was a Starship group too (in that Starship groups' intro) who were screwed over by bad business decisions of the company. They debuted in 2011 a year after Sistar.

the fact that all these girls are younger than me kinda makes me worry than I can't even audition for the agencies, let alone get in to one. Eleven is an amazing song though and I'm excited to see where they go from there

Just going to keep it real, if your 18+ then you have a very slim chance to get picked up by agencies unless you have stunning visuals and a amazing voice. If your 20+ then don’t even try

I think it started even before Produce 48 aired. On the official website, there were the names of the trainees in Korean and Japanese but their names were also romanized. In Wonyoung’s case, it was originally Chang Yuan-ying which is a Mandarin name. And what made people think that she might be Taiwanese was « Chang » because it is only spelt like that in Taiwan. In China, they would spell it as « Zhang ». I think that ‘s how people started thinking that Wonyoung might be part Taiwanese.

I mean it’s not all glamour and fun, these K-pop idols have very stressful jobs and they aren’t allowed to date, express opinions freely, or just be themselves because their every move is watched and judged by the public and they have no privacy. People pick at everything they say and do, and their fanbase consist of many delusional creeps, which must feel very violating but they aren’t allowed to say anything. Personally I would feel extremely suffocated and depressed living that kind of life.

I just dived in to IVE, they're so freakin' good.

I love this group and Eleven. I think the shining star of this amazing group of young ladies will be Leeseo, maybe Liz

Every idol groups debuted starting 2nd gen has at least one foreign member because kpop is expanding. Whether English, Chinese, Japanese or all of them, groups needs to have a foreign member because of marketing reasons.

I Stan all Starship’s groups so I immediately started to stan them as soon as the company teased pics. I knew Izone but didn’t follow them all that much. I kept planning on auditioning for Starship this past summer but never got the chance. Oh well, don’t think I would have been put in this group anyway😅

If you look at it a lot of idols that almost debuted in other groups but then left that company and debuted in another group, that just means there’s a company still out there for you. That you weren’t meant to be in that company, in that group; that there is a better one out there. That’s how I think anyway. I’ve been failing my auditions (I think) so I’m staying positive by thinking like that. I know it takes longer than 3 weeks to get through email auditions and even so, some companies don’t look at every single email audition too. But I’m still staying positive. I’ve done all the email auditions I can do right now so now it’s the waiting game

As a Taiwanese, I didn't know Wonyoung is so Taiwanese(?!) I think her parents are not Taiwanese they just have ROC citizenship. During the Chinese civil war, mainlanders fled China and went to Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Korea, Japan, so it's possible she has nothing to do with Taiwan but has ROC citizenship, and since the ROC government had moved to Taiwan, people misunderstood her as Taiwanese.

Can you do a history of SS501? I think it would be such an interesting video. Back in the day there was the Big 2 of SM and DSP. SM had H.O.T and S.E.S while DSP had Sechkies and Fin.k.l. Later on Gen 2, SM had TVXQ while DSP had SS501 (also Girls Generation vs Kara). SS501 was so massive in the day, but DSP squandering them (along with a few injuries). Even with their popularity soaring again with Boys Over Flowers, DSP didn't really capitalize on it. This could be such an interesting video.
