Another way of getting a job in Korea is being an English teacher. I worked several years in Seoul as an English teacher and guided foreigners as a group guide through different sights. @janafeulnerable
5 жыл бұрын
Sseraphim Hi, after I graduated I went to Korea for 3 month...I met someone on the Internet and I visited him. I only had bad experiences with this, so I can warn you that it might not be a good idea to do it like I did. Not everybody on the Internet wants your best and you never know if the things they tell you are true. So if you decide to try to contact people from Korea online please be careful! don't trust everyone and stay safe. I think the best way to meet people in Korea would be going to a language school. It will cost some money but I think it's worth it. And when you decide to go to university there, you will meet a lot of people there too, so don't worry about that :) I really hope you can achieve your dreams~ lots of love 🌻 Janie

You should look into the Korean Government Scholarship Programme (KGSP in short). It's a really good scholarship that also includes up to a year of Korean Language course before starting a bachelors degree. Since you will be grouped with other students who have the scholarship there is more than enough opportunity to meet nice friends in Korea! Or why not try a summer school at a Korean university!

The most important thing to know about studying in Korea is to qualify for the student visa you must present a minimum $10,000 bank balance of yourself/a parent. This is to prove you can financially sustain yourself for the duration of your studies. Most people don't have 10k sitting around on the shelf, so this tears the opportunity away from many. If you have the means to save this money up, start doing so ASAP.
I watched this video for the first time over a year ago. This is my 3rd time watching it over again, because it will always be the most informative one I've seen, and the aesthetic is impeccable lmao ❤️

FINNALY YOU MADE IT!!!!!!
wow, the deposit amount is madly huge, the international students in the city I lived in Finland paid 400 euros deposit for their apartments and they already complained then they even dream to go to Korea for exchange period, I should slap this in their faces lol, but Sissel, you're so amazing :O
@ErikaLindberg
5 жыл бұрын
If you go to Korea for exchange you can stay in dorms with tiny deposits (I paid 30k KRW for my room), and since it's for a short time you can probably survive with a less than ideal place to live (고시원, shitty 원룸 etc.) The way the rent system works in a lot of places in Korea is that you pay a deposit and then your rent, the larger deposit the smaller the rent. It's not impossible to find places with an OK deposit and tolerable rent suitable to your situation, but you shouldn't come to Korea with no money saved up expecting to find a nice apartment.

Dang girl, you are not only beautiful, you are so smart. Can't believe that you are so young yet so mature and intelligent. it's funny because opposite to you, I have been kind of thinking of moving to Scandinavia and basically looking at your video for some ideas to move to the opposite end. lol
This was posted the day before I left Korea, I am dying to go back even if its just for a vacation...but the thought of moving there is always in my mind.
I admire your courage to pack all your things and start your life fresh in another country.. not just another country, but a country that is totally different from your own country. I've thought about doing it as well, but i don't have that big of a courage to do that. Even tho i've been to South Korea couple of times, and i love it there + my boyfriend is Korean, i still don't feel brave enough to take that big of a step. Even tho i don't know you, only based on your youtube videos and instagram, i'm happy for you and wish you all the best! 화이팅 my fellow Northern European!😁 I'll be excitedly waiting for the videos of your Korea journey!
You looks like an angel, so unreal... I had to replay 1:26 so many time because that was freaking cute 💕
This really help a lot~✨ I'm really planning to move and work to Korea someday ❤️
Im an English teacher in america. When I went to live in KOrea 13 years ago no one told you anything, and this kind of information you are giving is like gold. You dont know how other countries do things, and they cant imagine anything different. You can easily be subject to helpers' mistakes and confusion. The school ( if you are teaching) rents the apartment, so they take care of the deposit, and they went with me to set up the bank account. In america I was given the wrong visa, so I had to go to Japan a week in, and change my visa, very stressful. THe employment agency gave me two weeks to move my posessions and arrive in KOrea for the job, Way too little time. ( for the visa, and moving I injured my back) No foreigner was allowed to have a phone for three months, and you had to get used to using the atm at the bank for all money, you carry cash. No paychecks, pay stub or yearly records you might need for tax purposes. I tried for six months and all my co teacher could say was " look at your bankbook" when I tried to say " pay records for my government" and the paper she did show me all the numbers were written out in hanguel. Since I paid taxes in Korea 6%, and you only have to pay in one country, I made sure the postal records of my residence in america showed an american address. ( a relative) I gave up on making any report that I was out of the country. I also had to travel five hours to seoul and bring a translator ( my Korean bf) to have money sent back home, and the limit is one months pay. ( they lost my money in the wire transfer in my korean hometown, and my school frequently neglected to deposit the money, like every single month I was paid) In my contract ( effective version is in KOrean, and they can freely change it without telling you) I was to get severence pay, one month, but that is a problem because of the limit of how much you can send home. SO it is imperative that you have a KOrean friend, which I did since before I went there. He helped translate me out of the visa problem, got me a phone, untangled the pay problems and deposited my severence pay to my American bank through his account. Other foreigners just would have their severence stolen by the school, because once your job is finished you have three days to leave the country, and the severence pay takes two weeks. One pleasant surprise is they give you your national pension money when you leave. Korean money is totally worthless outside of korea, so remember you simply cant take the cash from your pay and exchange it beyond the airport in Seoul. Jong was one of the kindest men I have ever met, and even though we didnt get married I will never forget him.
She’s so pretty! ❤︎

Your chances for a good interesting life depend where you are born and where you grew up. Sizzel is from Denmark in northern Europe and her mothertongue is Danish. People are friendly and relaxed and well educated in Denmark. She has fair skin and green eyes and she is tall because she is northern European. Sizzel is beautiful and friendly and amazing. She is like most northern European girls and she adds Korean language to her European skills and looks. So this makes her special and successful in Korea. In India you will find lots of beautiful women with black hair and beautiful big brown eyes. Indian girls could learn English and French. When being tall and slim like Sikhs they could work as models in London and Paris. Most girls there look like Sizzel so an Indian model would be unique and special. Apartments are crazy expensive in London and Paris though. Just double or triple Sizzels numbers.

Hello Sissel AB, i can feel u. They way you are now reminds me a lot for the first time I moved to France from Indonesia 5 years ago. I had arrived at France at student for Master Degree in Engineering Informatics. Luckly enough, i came with erasmus scholarship, so no hard time for visa issues. Since, i can speak french as fluent as english. I do bit difficult time when few people make joke about my french accent. But, i don't care. Nobody's perfect. As time goes by, I have lots of friends from another parts of world that makes me feels like home more than my home country (Indonesia). As asian girl, you tends to act shy and submissive, but not here in France. You are free to do what you think better for you as long as you respect the right of others as human being. Kindly interesting to meet you in person somehow whether in Europe or Korea. Love from France

If you're lucky you can also move in with someone or have a furnished house when moving in, but the prices are quite accurate. Luckily my plane ticket have always been half the price she has.
