Considering my perspective of cheats/mods in general, it hasn't changed my view because it's quite in line with yours: Modding a singleplayer game or cheating in it has no effect on anyone else's experience, i may not run mods often, but when i do it's to either fix issues, restore unfinished content or improve the overall gaming experience offered by the game. I remember the old cheats i used in GTA: San Andreas.. nothing was more fun than spawning a tank, typing chittychittybangbang and using my turret to fly across the map at breakneck speed.

@@Morne443 Just to be clear we are referring purely for the WEMOD Software here. any detection with any wemodding for pvp will result in a permeanant ban with the wemod software detected in rare cases that it even works/isnt barred from launching. Some may work with Coop games but even those are susceptible to ban if detected. That pretty much leaves only single games.

After I finish a game as intended, I love using trainers on my 2nd or 3rd playthrough to experiment with things. Trainers increase replay-ability to me, it's great. I just recently finished Dragon age inquisition legitimately, gonna re-play it for different choices and story outcomes and thanks to trainers I don't have to grind for power points doing tedious time wasting quests.

The worst of this stigma against modding is happening in Ace Combat 7, as mod devs on the Reddit are refusing to release the code that could allow people to mod the physics and weapons due to there being a multiplayer mode. I've done some reading around and asked people, and it turns out that the code for singleplayer stats is completely proprietary and can't be ported to multiplayer. This willingness to spread a lie that restricts people is what I hate about anything.

Remember when games had built in cheats or via console command cheats.

I will speak now for myself and my friend who both absolutely love Dark Souls and have sunk a bunch of time into it. We love mods and modding it. Hell we're currently playing through a massive mod called Cinders that changes the ENTIRE game, and we're exploring more mods that do similar things. I think I can speak for both of us and say: rock on, have fun, play how you want, and we hope you enjoy the game.

I want to use it on The Last of Us Part 1 I am now playing on PC. I think it’s unfair that I am not allowed to loot ammo from enemies with weapons, so I am only using it to add ammo. :)

I remember buying a video game and couldn't get past the 1st level. This was a ps3 game and there was no cheat code. I ended up not playing the game anymore and now play on pc because of trainers.

This is so true, especially when there are crafts with limited resources such as; 40h in you get a new weapon mod and you try it and then wonder how it works in another weapon just to realize that you get 1 per play-through, it's so annoying.

I used WeMod for infinite ammo in Resident Evil 3 - a much better experience. Agree! :)

I Enjoy wemods for single player games, it really helps for people like me who live a busy life and don’t have enough time to grind games out

I like cheats to change the gaming experience rather than the EZ mode cheat. Like sandbox games like Dishonored, Dark Messiah Might and Magic, or Deathloop give the player so many tools to play with. No "superbar" limitations, no cool downs, and no inventory worries only _PURE FUN_

I would never have played ac odyssey because of the grind but after using cheat engine I completed the main story of odyssey

I have the same mindset, sometimes you just want to breeze through just for the story since the gameplay is either too monotonous to be enjoyable or just too annoying.

I actually mod MHW specifically to make the weapon movesets more fun to use. Even though they make the game significantly easier, it's a singleplayer game. If I decide to use them in public multiplayer, I make sure everyone is okay with me using modified movesets before I continue. Right now I'm actually trying to balance all of them so they aren't completely broken compared to the potential effectiveness of the vanilla movesets. However, that's only because I don't like to kill things too fast, and I don't want people who use the mod to feel like they're cheating by using it. That being said, I actually support people who want to modify bits and pieces of it to their liking. If they want to adjust things, I'm more than willing to show them how to do it. I don't get why people care so much about "developer intended gameplay" or other people messing with their mods. As long as the modder or developer can still make the game they want to and get credit for the things they created, it shouldn't matter. Especially since plenty of developers/modders aren't always the best designers, and the existence many developers/modders that think differently prove that neither always get everything right for everyone.

Well, I do use mods in a multiplayer VR game called Gorilla Tag, BUT I Only do it in the casual (no tag or competition) game mode so that I don’t ruin peoples game, and most people actually like me modding in casuals, I just entertain people. But If someone doesn’t like it, I leave. But fr, I don’t understand how some modders people enjoy pressing a button on a menu and tagging everyone ruining everyone’s game.

@@InternalxHD Bruh, it's completely free to use cheats in Wemod. It only makes you pay for things like in-app customization or the ability to toggle them on phone without the need to alt-tab the game which is entirely optional. What are you on about?

I use modding and cheating all the time on GTA 4 single player. I turn it into a physics sandbox. Like @ReveredDead said, let people play the games THEY own the way THEY want.

I think the problem people have with people using trainers is that they make gaining achievements very easy specially the very hard ones. I personally use trainers regularly but it is understandable if someone has worked very hard to get an achievement and you will just waltz in and get it.

I could care less about achievements. I turn it off if possible. Most games I play are from gog and I don't use gog galaxy so I never get achievements. I think they are for kiddies.

I will only use cheats in single player never multiplayer unless other players can take advantage of said cheats like in games like minecraft

I remember seeing that one article where a journalist modded Sekiro to be easy so they could beat it (and they had fun) and people were FROTHING AT THE MOUTH. Countless people calling them pathetic, saying they were insulting the game, even turning into people complaining about society lmfao. They didn't care at all that the journalist had great respect for the world, visuals, music, and a bunch of other things. To me that feels like they really don't respect Sekiro. If they think the game is ruined without difficulty, then they're basically just insulting the visual artists, the level designers, the musicians, the writers, even the people who made the combat system (Because the combat system is still there in its entirety, even if the difficulty isn't. I know, shocker) I wanna get a oneshot mod for Elden Ring and post about it on reddit purely out of spite lmao.

I recently started playing Cyberpunk 2077. You can get some nice upgrades early game and they don't cost too much in-game money, but the problem, grinding for in-game money is an absolute chore and takes up a lot of time. While I didn't use a cheat program like WeMod but I did use a known glitch/exploit to duplicate items and make momey from there. I work full time so I already have lmited time and I dont want to spend my free time grinding and getting little results. There is zero reasons on why single player games should be THIS grindy. This program honestly will be a life saver and will reduce my back log for sure!

Exactly i don't like requirements in games such as tokens to unlock skills or resources to craft instead i would cheat those from the start and play to have fun basically enjoy storyline that's why game is made for. People play hardcore games which takes ages to complete good for them but some people don't have that much of time in the world.

One new game with in game cheats, is star field, only for pc tho. I love this game with my heart. It’s such a great addition which i wish all games had this ability, while not destroying the game, you have an advantage!

You can use it on xbox…the caveat is the game has to be on xbox games pass pc and console gamepass. I recently completed yakuza 3-7 using wemod and synching the pc/xbox saves. Saved me probably 100+ hrs of grinding between the 5 games

I completely agree with you on this. I rarely use mods, but when I do it's for things like adding customization options, additional content and fixing bugs. I loved Skyrim to death. I loved it more with a some select mods and most importantly, The Unofficial Skyrim Patch, which is a massive, ongoing project that fixes so many of the games problems, bugs, and "features".

From my perspective ... its simple. I would not buy games unless cheats are available for them PERIOD (either in-game or trainers). I dont buy games because I am looking for a challenge - my life has plenty of that... I buy games to blow off steam by taking an armchair vacation to strange and interesting places and blow some shit up without having to worry about getting killed... especially since I only play games when I am drunk LOL. At age 50+, I wouldnt have spent the thousands on first person shooters (only kind I buy) over the last 30 years! Not having cheats in games is just a bad business decision. Its not like the little snots that bitch about this wouldnt buy the game if they left the cheats in... but there sure as hell are those that wont buy their game without cheats. And I never play online or multiplayer games so I agree with you on that... cheating shouldnt be allowed there.

Agreed, I’m also middle aged and enjoy gaming but I don’t have the time nor the energy to get good at every game I play. I use wemod and save wizard for most single player games just to remove the grinding of farming items to level up. You’re probably like me, we have plenty of disposable income but not enough disposable time.

It's just a matter of people taking my word for it but I'm not very bothered if they don't believe me. I don't usually share it but I also don't hide that I use wemod when getting 100% in a game. Beat the game on the hardest difficulty? I will do that with no cheats as to earn entirely on my own. But things like "fight 1000 common enemies with one specific weapon"? Dude hell nah. I'm using health, durability, money, whatever. Get all the hardest achievements legit, then use cheats to get the bs completionist/collectathon trophies.

I first downloaden it for Metal Gear Rising, to complete thise pesky VR missions, then I used to get a bunch of Red Orbs in DMC5 because I already played through it on Xbox and I am sure as hell not gonna buy Red Orbs, and lastly I used it to get unlimited money and resources for Far Cry 5 and New Dawn since I want to complete them before I play Far Cry 6.

I play warzone with my friends and never cheat or hack but my friend has been spam reported or something meaning he's in shadowbanned lobbies now. being innocent i guess because i know my friend doesn't cheat in multiplayer he hates it and hes broke and wouldn't pay for a hack client. Just like you said cheaters in multiplayer are scummy people. But im not in shadowbanned lobbies but i still play with him because its more fun witb a friend that i know very well and everytime i get locked on by someone thats using aimbot i just wonder what is happening in their head.
