What's funny is that, if I recall correctly, Grian actually turned down an invitation to Season 5, as he worried he wouldn't be a good fit. Once S6 rolled around, though, he felt more comfortable with the idea.

I once heard that it was entirely possible to get a college education just by showing up to class and doing the required reading. Like just randomly walk through the door, sit down, and act like you're supposed to be there. And no one would question it. You'd get the education, but none of the official documents to prove it. I wonder how true that is?

I have sat in at a couple classes before, it is absolutely possible. Just make sure the settings you choose have >20 people, or you might get called out.

I think he was invited for his building talent but rejected because at the time he never played survival. But after evo smp he had played survival (granted not on the modern version but still) so he decided to accept I could be completely wrong tho this is just what i remember hearing

Considering that Grian had to remove doors for a season, it's no small surprise how he got in.

Grian my man was hired to come onto the server to help with winning wars, and was hired to start a war lol. Grian’s win rate in wars right now from season 6-9 is a fabulous 100%.

I feel like Joel joining Hermitcraft this season went one of two ways. They either: got him to say he's short in front of everybody OR, the boring one; Saw his builds (which are incredible) and said "Yep, he's ours now". Add the undeniable facts that Etho's obsessed with him and he gave Grian his heart, those reasons would've basically gotten him an invitation 😂

I like to imagine that grian just barged into one of the hermit's house got onto the server and invited himself in before they could stop him doing so
