This is how African people solve problems 🇸🇩 Sudan | vA 21
First, I ride from Kerma to Dongola, and on the way, I have breakfast in a small village. Then I take a minibus to go to Karima. The guys of the minibus want to charge me a lot of money to transport my bike, so I spend quite some time negotiating the price of my transport. When I arrive in Karima, my bike is broken...

I love you and adore you, and I hope you appreciate my love, O Ethiopia, your beloved from Sudan, my brothers, my country’s brothers, my country’s sisters, by God, I love you from the bottom of my heart. I hope one day I will visit Ethiopia, for which I would die
This is where I am from the northern state ❤️, for the people surprised how safe it is, my people are not materialistic we value human life as well as their belongings cause we know we need to trust and take care of each other to survive and form a strong thriving community in such harsh conditions this is what Islam taught us, we lead a very simple life and we know the most valuable thing in life are humans , hope you have a safe journey

Wow, surprised at how Yves just leaves his bike and belongings unattended whilst he goes to negotiate the fare for his bike. I guess that says a lot about the trust he has in the local people.

Sudanese are very nice and helpful people they can do anything for you without taking money or something What a beautiful people. Much love and respect 💖🇸🇩
as a Sudanese, I wanted to thank you for visiting our country I wish you a very pleasant experience here in Sudan
Love from Iraq you are the best people
14:27 Ahhhh, the electricity is back, god is greaaat. Meanwhile the engineer who fought hours to solve the issue 😮 lovely 😂
I'm amazed at the haggling involved with the bicycle, meet them halfway since they were doing the work loading it on the roof for you. They aren't loading your body into the car. It may be the same weight, but there is more work involved.
Sudanese are known to be friendly people ; what a blast seing you going to explore this place another dream of mine , just raw adventures.
The Sudanese people are lovely Yves. Very friendly and hospitable. Sudan on my list of countries to visit. Thsnk you for your wonderful video. Sudan look after Yves. Safe travels mate and happy travels. 😊
I have to say Yves.. I have a different perspective of the world and the Middle East through your show. What a humble charitable people. Thank you be safe my friend 😀

الاخ نزار انت شخص صاحب مروه وشهامه كثر الله من امثالك 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Sudan and Ethiopia..people with no difference.humble nation. Even if I haven't ever been there I see their low life style and their hospitality.
This video remind me my childhoods adventure when I was 15 yrs old I cross all the way from alJarf till Meraowe East by foot just to discover the lands and visit my father’s relatives can you imagine since that time nothing big change happen on the streets or infrastructures of this land 😢
I hope you understand how nice and genuine those people are, not one person in this video tried to take advantage of you. I really liked this video and I'm going to plan a trip to Sudan now after seeing the video, i think i can understand Arabic slightly better than you so i might survive the journey on my own. I can assure you that you're surrounded by nice people there and you need to be a little bit more chilled and relax.. as the journey goes on you might actually find center Africa a little bit more worrying so enjoy your days in Sudan.

@@m.m.4609 it's called negotiations, we all do it, the bike takes space and he was trying to explain that as his van would be a lot less aerodynamic and would be using more fuel on the long journey, although our French friend kept pushing for a discount the driver had the most chilled kind face with a smile, if you've seen the attitude of some people in Egypt episode for example you would admire Sudan. The man wasn't asking for a lot if you think about it just check the distance like i did and rethink how much he was asking again then judge.

In terms of hospitality, we have one quote in Sudan which means if we translate it literally (if the earth does not carry you, we will carry you above our heads), you are very welcome even before you pay a visit. 😀 plan your trip in winter, which is normally between 14-20 centigrade degrees. believe me, you will enjoy it much more ❤

I can claim that you don't strive for anything else as much as you strive for this bike, but it's still the most important part of this adventure🤭. Sudan is very interesting, as if it belongs to another universe, but it has a very peaceful aspect😌.
My brother sufi are Muslims no one has to imposed their law, foreigners as well..in all muslim world you can were shorts. Its différent from mini scurt ! One day in Italy one lady ask me kindly to go out of the Church, I was visiting, because I was wearing a Bermuda/short ...I understood very well and I was only 15 years old. I think she was a christian not impose her law, not soufi or else. She open my eyes to respect the place..we have to respect cultures naturally humblely, this is Life. This purity of mind. Respect. Bess.
I Love the people of Sudan

Thanks! You helped me understand it. The spelling seems to vary a lot (khoja/khawega/khawaja). It is used in Egypt خواجة , but the meaning seems a little different in Sudan. It came from a Persian honorific (khawaja), and was adopted by a number of European languages!

Those prices are fair considered welding rods are imported. And it is a country of high import duty. Plus electricity rates went up 700% since covid struck. And this is not the capital. So shipping any products to the suburbs comes at a premium. Knowing what I know from visiting there two years ago. The only overpriced fair was on his previous video of the boat crossing. As they asked a lot to transport the two bikes to the other side of the river.
