y'all really should react to Petr Cech Highlights. He was the goalie that saved Ronaldo's pen. Man had over 200 career shutouts. Conceded only 15 goals in his first premier league season. Absolute legend!

Something to point out is that, there was a rule implemented not so long ago (a couple years back) that said that keepers must have at least one foot on the line of the goal before the ball is kicked. As you can see in most of these penalties, most keepers took several steps forward to make narrow the angle of the kicker.

2:10 Ronaldo’s penalty is actually illegal here. You can see that he comes to a FULL STOP during his run-up, which is not allowed. You’re only allowed to slow down or speed up - no stopping or fake shot allowed during penalties.

No you can’t. what Pires did was illegal. You cant do a fake kick, it counts as a stop. Messi and Suarez is a good example of the pass penalty however, because messi didn’t stutter in his run up
