The slap is actually from a form of martial arts called Wing Chun Kung Fu. The slap is a way of exerting force to the face and dealing a blow without the possibility breaking your hand over their face. You can also see advance Wing Chun used in the Jujutsu Kaisen movie specifically the Gojo vs Miguel fight scene.

Red was not the one who killed Yellow’s clan. Both survived the mass fighting happening in their individual clans and made it to the center. Red was holding back a lot throughout that fight. Yellow’s heart and fist were clouded by revenge and anger. Red tried to make him understand that Kung Fu is not for killing it is for protecting, which is why he let Yellow live. Warriors had been in a constant state of combat and war trying to prove themselves in order to get their wish granted by the God himself, but none succeeded. Red was fighting for his brother I think, and Yellow was fighting for his clan. The mist of that valley is supposed to drive you mad with anger. Red proved himself both combat wise and mentally and was deemed worthy of one wish.

I said this on Steven Z Killer but I’ll say it again; There was a trailer that explained that in the area they’re fighting in, a relic that grants wishes appears, Shinji(yellow) lost his clan and Jun(red) lost his brother, there’s more info in the trailer, you should watch it.

@Asta x Noelle well there is the fact that they’re fighting for a relic the grants wishes that differs, and to be fair, Jun and Shinji’s backstories still differ a bit, like Jun not losing his brother to Shinji, and Jun isn’t the one who destroyed Shinji’s clan, nor was it somebody who disguised as Jun.

Thank goodness Aaron did not do this as a solo reaction, the man forgot to breathe!

For the ppl that didn’t watch part || trailer red didn’t kill yellow’s clan. Yellow was trying to make a wish with the thing red got at the end. Red was fighting for his lover or brother sum shi like that. The place they was fighting at was a war and they was the last ones alive standing that’s why yellow was pushing so hard. Bc he won’t be able to make a wish for another 1000 years. Yellow flash back was just a reminder of what he was fighting for. So there’s no bad guys here just two ppl trying to bring back the ones they lost.

Shinji just wasn't strong enough to beat JUN and his Mental state wasn't as strong either, all Shinji did was zoom around trying to get a hit in and he wasn't strategically trying to knock him out or something and that's where JUN came in because he had already thought it out and he never revealed his whole arsenal in the first fight so he caught him by surprise in the next fight and caught the Dub in this fight.

To explain the ending.in the first Combat Gods it was stated that Yellow lost his best friend ( I think) and Red lost his entire clan. Luckily once every century I think a item will be dropped from the heavens and whoever gets the item can have one wish granted. That probably was the item that grants wishes. Red and yellow fought to obtain the item and gain back what they lost.
