Finally! That touch sensitive focus dial is an absolute stroke of genius. It finally allows for the best of both worlds with Autofocus accuracy but human creative control.

Wonderful! I’m so excited that DJI’s Lidar is now accessible outside the gimbals (which are pretty awesome too 😉).

As a black magic shooter this opens up a whole world of possibilities for me!

The next thing I would love DJI to work on is a device for capturing camera movement like the CamtrackAR does for iPhone. Something small that can be fixed to any camera. Would be great to export the data and import into something like Blender or Resolve etc. Loving the Focus Pro, been waiting for a company to build something like this for years :) DJI is definitely making some incredible technology (y)

PLEASE create a two part option for the lidar reaction speeds - one for sensitivity, but a second option for motor speed. Then you'd be able to control the amount and style of reaction / lag when tracking and changing focus between foreground and background objects

Visually, Lidar (for RS3 Pro) and the "New" Lidar" Pro" look the same. DJI please explain what has been updated on Lidar with the suffix "PRO". Just added sticker on back ?

The older is 5meters focus distance. The new one is 20meters

***UPDATE*** 1) The FIZ motors are very fat, meaning that on the increasingly more compact high performing lenses; you’ll have to alternate the motors between left and right rails. They wont fit the lens if all are placed on one side. With larger Cinema and zooms this is less of a problem. 2) There are NO lemo connections, This entire system is run off USB. This means it’s incredibly easy for these cables to disconnect and may be too delicate for good cable management on large rigs. 3) There is no Start/Stop Rec function in the hand unit unless it’s connected via Bluetooth. That WILL NOT WORK w/ Arri or Red (allegedly) 4) You can only map 3 lenses into the LiDAR. AC’s on productions with larger kits can’t really use this. 5) The calibration process is unconventionally lengthy and since you’d be forced to do this on set when you have more than three lenses. It’s an immediate NO-GO for professional techs (my opinion) 6) The Focus Assist tools that come with using the LiDAR are only accessible in DJI’s Monitor, which I believe is only operational with DJI’s Transmitter. I wouldn’t be surprised if the hand unit had no rigging options either. Overall I’d think this thing is only useful for people trapped in the DJI ecosystem.

Is this lidar system compatible with the tilta control handle?

I would have really appreciated it if you could address the loose cables that constantly collide with the gimbal motors or put too much strain on them. My microphone and external monitor are attached to the arm handles, and when the gimbal moves, it sometimes pulls on the cables, causing excessive tension. I don't understand why there isn't just an HDMI and microphone port in the same place as that multi-port and usb c port.

Is this a new lidar or the one from the rs2?

The birds-eye LIDAR overlay for focus pulling at 0:11, what setups do you need to make that available? It doesn't seem to be on or available in the rest of the video, crucially for when the 1st AC is focus pulling at 2:00 mark. That would be game-changer and a serious challenge to the film industry standard, the Light Ranger 2. Also, no pre-marked rings like the Prestons and WCU-4?

I crashed my dji mini 4 pro few days ago and later i noticed that obstacle was not working. So i did some research only but couldn't find any solution, which day you have to launch DJI assistant for DJI mini 4pro. we have face alot of situation.

Hi. You guys really need to release motors with 2 pin lemo and height adjustments on the rod mount. I was really excited for these to replace so many Tilta Nucleus on indie sets. But having a bunch of USB-C cables are just unacceptable on more professional cinema builds. I get it for the old ronin motors needs to cater towards the mirrorless shooters, but disappointed that DJI always drop the ball on these key details to make it truly usable on pro sets. Love all the features! Just hope you guys make a comparable motor in terms of mounting and power to other pro systems

1) How strong are the motors? If it’s anything like that motor that came with the RS3Pro I’ll pass. 2) Can the system be used with other brands? I’d want to use this with a SmallHD+Teradek. 3) What focus assist overlays are available? I’d love something similar to Light Ranger. 4) It looks like the motors daisy chain for power and talk to eachother, can I also get camera rec/stop from the hand unit? If so which cameras? 5) It also looks like the cables come downward from the motors, not ideal. But more importantly can they be placed on different size rods or am I stuck with a single size. 6) What’s the battery life of the hand unit and what type of batteries does it take? I’ll probably have more questions soon. Please answer these, we’d love to know.

It just seems like they made such a cool system with amazing features while never talking to a single working pro AC. We need 2 pin lemo power, 3 pin run stop, adjustable rod mounting, etc to make it comparable to other systems. I want to replace the Tilta nucleus so bad on these indie sets with these but the usb c cable and lack of basic io/mounting just lays all these amazing new features to waste

My follow focus has cost me about $30k. So, this is definitely not a pro price tag. Great for smaller camera builds though! I may pick on up as a lightweight solution when we do FX3s for that size.

How do I invest in this company

This kit does not come with a bracket that connects the FocusPro Handunit (with the big knob) to the DJI Transmission Monitor, although in all the setups they show/advertise it with it in this video. and as of now, there's no way to separately order that bracket as a part. It doesn't come with DJI transmission monitor kit either.
