Avanati was her lawyer and said she and Cohen were "dating" at the time and Costello (the only reliable witness in all this) said Cohen said repeatedly that the payment was all his idea. If I were on the jury I'd find it easier to believe someone who seems to be confessing all of his sins, rather than someone who "can't recall." If Michael Cohen lied and then the defense proved that he lied...that would take away more credibility than him admitting his shady ways.

At this point the irony is that Trump is acquicted while Cohen goes again to jail for larceny. 🤣🤣🤣

What is new about it is that the defense opened the door for the prosecution to ask what exactly the payment to Red Finch was being made for, ie that the Red Finch payment was to rig an online poll, a fact which the defense got excluded because they argued it was too prejudicial.
