Thanks for showcasing and commenting on the creativity that’s possible with aoe3. A lot of games inevitably get reduced down to what “should” be done in order to efficiently win. And any straying from standard play is seen as “bad”. I love that aoe3 has the scope to explore new thinking to not only make playing it more fun, but also make it possible to beat dogmatic repetition.

Especially since DE came out. But Aizamk could win with unconventional strategies even before that.

Thanks for showcasing this Russia strat! I'm trying to finetune a build that incorporates the Suvorov Reforms and Milyutin Reforms shipments (where you mass produce Strelets and turn them all into Guard Northern Musketeers), it's insightful to see a higher ranked player handle the buildup to a special high age strat! I use Logistician as well for better settler protection and still have housing for military

I can help if you want If you know any "religious" structure give a XP trickle. Sending the cathedral shipm give you it for free(300 resources) plus a trickle of 1 XP/sec(other churches are 0.70/sec) plus the special tech that mexican have. Mostly a tech that make your age-up faster. Plus if you want to play turtle, the cathedral has an AOE repair for building. I play Mexico and i ship that in all games

Comments have mostly answered it, but yeah its basically a 400 res building that has almost as much xp as a TP, has some really good techs such as age up and free insurgent tech, gives free healing to all buildings in huge radius, and will help your shipment curve due to giving xp in the long run. It just an insane card which should be used 9/10 strats as mexico

Oh yeah Russia feels good!

You finally see why Hungary should be on a different tier to Romania (you put both on high C next to each other which I massively face palmed at) and why I think Romania is second worst revolt in the game (Indonesia is my choice for worst) mostly because anyone who can revolt to Romania can also revolt to Hungary which is better in every way. Obviously requires set up, but Romania gets worse revolutionaries (they are the reverse of Hungary, higher HP, lower range) has no toys aside meme raiding cavalry archer but that only works if you go from Ottoman and requires sending at least one card prior to revolt. Hungary gets 18 range grens (or 20 range with launchers), Magyar Hussars which can be trained and of course very cost efficient shipments if you build the towers first. Ottoman can do this pretty well with a sublime porte strat but we discussed that already. I seriously don't think you've investigated each revolt enough :D. Georgian Hussars into Hungary is good cus Magyars also benefit from that. If you don't send Georgian Hussars pre revolt they are basically age 2 Hussars with good HP, only Ottoman gets the 'Hussar' tech for revolting, Russia get grenadier tech instead. Germany and Malta get nothing if you are curious which is bizarre though both can get Imperial Grenadiers by shipping the Hungarian Gren card. I mentioned it to you somewhere. Dunno why they sent all the eco cards if they weren't going to attempt a recovery and compensate with the efficient shipments (each shipment comes with a blockhouse and each blockhouse on revolting and after spawns a unit), don't think you'd get away with it against an equal opponent. Would be better to go 4 earlier, rely on blockhouses/forts/unit shipments for defense and use factories which give immense returns. Russia>Hungary also gets a gren for each blockhouse which synergizes with the logistician, picked that up as soon as DE came out. They also get Imperial upgrade for Grens (only effects the infinite 6 shipment) and Hungarian grens are basically set to guard and change any grens you have to Hungarian ones.

Why can Germany revolt into Argentina or Hungary? Why can Malta revolt into Barbary States? That one in particular is really odd. A lot of the revolts don't really make sense. They'd have to put a lot of work in to give logical revolts for everyone. As it was giving the revolts the rework they did was nice.

​@@Peachrocks5To be fair, since Germany is meant to be the HRE, it makes some sense because Austria. As for Argentina, there's a good number of Germans that immigranted to there (Well before 1945, I must add, as most of them moved to the country before WWI)

The Russians were actually fighting on the Austrian side in 1848 against the Hungarians. So if the HRE/Austria can revolt to Hungary, so can Russia. :)
