Loved that one too!
This song never ages. Beautiful!
I’m so grateful that people of other cultures are experiencing music such as this. In these divided times music can bring us all together! More often then not ( as much as I love rock) country music is everyday American values and lessons that shape our world and our lives.
Have not heard this for years. Love this song its beautiful! Thank you ♥️
Classic country hit from 96
" is that really him, or the loss of my innocence I've been missing so much?".. .gave me CHILLS! love yall!
Country music is beautiful, I have loved it my whole life and I’m so glad y’all enjoy it
recently there was a remake of this song with deana Carter and a few others.I read somewhere that nobody wanted this song until Deana Carter stepped up. Everyone who turned it down, well the jokes on them. It became one of the top country songs of all time.

I have heard that too, This song checked everything that the "Experts" said would NEVER be played on country radio in the mid to late '90s... It was a ballad... The subject... The length (The original long version was over 8 minutes, if I recall correctly)... I don't recall just how the secret got out, but it somehow landed on the radio, and it blew up... I know I heard the label execs that let her record it for her album with absolutely NO intention of releasing it as a single... Until they found out how popular it was on the radio stations they swore would never even consider playing it in the first place...
Ohhhh memories! Sweet, cherished memories!
Love this songs, it really brings back my late teen years. Great song for summertime tooling around with the top down.
This entire CD is awesome!!
Beautiful song. Yes, I remember when 30 was old lol
Deana - How Do I Get There. Great hit
I remember when I started playing softball with my uncles, we would go to tournaments and camp for the weekend. At night we would gather around the campfire and drink - Boones Farm Strawberry Hill. I really liked strawberry wine but soon graduated to hard liquor!
This song is beautiful and so sweet! ❤️
I stumbled upon your channel and I'm so happy I did. Now I'm binging on all your videos while I clean! Y'all seem so genuine.
Her other song "Did I shave my legs for this" is awesome. Happy Easter.
Nothing like country music truest stament ever made... so many emotions
Happy Bunnyday!! 💖💋🐰🐇💖💋😎
I've always loved Deana Carter. She was the first person I had ever heard of that shared my name (even if she did spell it wrong 😜). Before her I had never met ANYONE with my name. 💗

If it makes you feel any better, I went to school with a girl named Deena... Sorry, but she apparently didn't know how to spell either... Hope that makes you feel less "Alone"... Or would that be "Unique"?... If that is the case, you can at least be thankful you know how to spell... BTW... Deena had a twin brother named Dana too...

@@js3599 I have since met a ton of Dena's spelled all kinds of ways, but in my teens (when Strawberry Wine came out) I had never met a one or seen it on anything! Lol
Forgot all about this song! ❤
I love country too..❤
Loved this song so much!!
we all have more in common than the politics that tries to divide us! that song was long ago for me. glad you enjoyed. appreciate you!

She’s not connected to the Carter family. You’re thinking of Carlene Carter, the daughter of June Carter and singer Carl Smith. Deana is the daughter of singer/ musician Fred Carter, Jr., no relation to the Maybelle and the Carter family.
I’m so glad you guys are diving into country music! The story telling is so good! A great story song for y’all would be “Three Wooden Crosses” by Randy Travis! 💜
We drank cheap Boons Farm strawberry wine during the Hippy day’s. This song reminds me of those days. LoL 🍷🍾🍷
Love Deana. For a fun one, check out 'Did I shave my legs for this?'. Funny video too.
Listen to the star spangled banner like you never heard it before you will understand why the flag must never ever touch the ground
Strawberry Hill Boone’s farm and 17 was a whole moment in time……
I love Deana Carter. Such a beautiful voice and great songs. Please check out another artist named Kathy Mattea singing Where Have You Been?
I just want to be 17 again when I hear this
When I first saw the video for this song, I thought the girl was a young Angelina Jolie. Angelina looked a lot like this girl at the same age.
LOVE your selection!!!
I love this song 🎶 I sung it on karaoke!!❤

You guys should listen to Garth Brooks song called That Summer. It tells a very poignant story and i think you would love it.

The male version of this..except that instead of a 17 year old girl and probably 19 year old boy….it’s a 19 year old boy and a 40’s something cougar
Great song , Mel I love your smile brightens my day! Hey I got a song I know hasn’t been reacted to yet, not that I haven’t seen yet . The song is “ what say you” by , wait for it lol , “ Travis tritt and John mellencamp “ great feel good song ! I bet Shawn will love this one! Have a great day and happy Easter! God bless
Hi Shawn and Mel, I don't know. if any one in the squad has mentioned it already or not, but Deana Carter is Johnny Cash's step daughter. She was the daughter of his wife June. Some other performers who are related to Johnny are Rosanne Cash and her one time husband Ronnie Milsap, all wonderful country singers in their own right. Another country singer that I absolutely love that was from the early 90's is Pam Tillis, Her father was also a famous country singer Mel Tillis. He was very unique in that he talked with a pronounced stutter but when he sang it was smooth as silk. He was a great inspiration to me when I was a little girl, because I had a stutter that took several years and a lot of speech therapy to overcome. He was kind of my hero, and I always looked forward to when he was on tv. I really enjoy 90's country, it was a wonderful time in country. music where performers were still holding on to the old traditional things yet trying new melodies and styles. It made for some really fresh music. Love you guys!

I checked online before I responded but Deana Carter is no relation to June Carter Cash or Johnny Cash. Deana's father was the late country singer Fred Carter, Jr.

@@ShelbyFarrow Hi Shelby you are absolutely right, I got her mixed up with Carlene Carter. She was a singer too and was popular in the late 80's and 90's. Thanks for correcting that! have a great day. :)

You are very welcome. Carlene Carter was actually married to singer Nick Gilder for a time. He had a smash hit many years ago called Hot Child In The City.@@delisamarchetti5926

Love that song... But the Cledus T Judd parody "You Have No Right To Remain Violent" kind of ruined it for me... I can't keep the lyrics straight anymore!
Do Alan Jackson "Gone country"
Another wind song, try Tommy James and the Shondells and sweet cherry wine!❤❤❤
Country music before the year 2k really was country and much different than today's crap. Every time I hear Strawberry wine it makes me want ppl doing reactions to listen to this country song about lost innocence too, but this is the clip that must be listened too because the cinematography is beautiful. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fG2pqLmTobCrZ6Q.html
