11:08 as a disabled person who can’t get to the sink everytime I need to, products like this are SO helpful because they work and because the individual wipes can be put in my outdoor bag, and in my medication bag, and in my makeup bag and in my bathroom kit in case there isn’t a fresh flannel around, and in my downstairs kit so I can use it to wash my hands between meals or my face after makeup etc. If I could get up and go to the sink and grab a clean flannel then it wouldn’t be needed!

I bought this and I promise you, don’t get it, it’s not worth it. Or at the very least leave it inside in a cooler temperature. I’m not sure how to keep it from exploding at the beach, maybe keep it in a cooler, but that’s what happened to me. I applied it poolside to my son, left it outside by my bag, and when it was time to reapply, I noticed the sunscreen was oozing out of the rollerball and made a huge mess everywhere. In theory it was easy to apply, my son has autism and didn’t complain or fidget, but it needs some thought regarding the packaging and temperature.

The CeraVe SA cleanser works very good for me and my husband. Not only clearing acne and KP on both of our bodies but we both use it on our faces with no dryness or tightness. I can even use a stronger chemical exfoliant after or retinol and always follow with moisturizer/spf. We really can't beat the price for how amazing it works. For the body we follow up with the SA lotion too! I just wanted to put this out there because these are the only products that have ever cleared up my skin, especially on the body. I know this doesn't work for everybody but I thought I would put it out there that it does work for some.

I agree, I have somewhat dry skin and even I found the Cera Ve SA cleanser to not be drying. It acted as a really good chemical exfoliant that preps my skin really nicely for a good moisturiser without any 'actives' (retinol etc). I only use it about once a week though; I always felt like the hydrating cleanser from Cera Ve does next to nothing for my skin. Just goes to show everyone's skin is different!

I've seen the Peach Slices brand claim that snail mucin has "glycolic acid-type properties" and "helps to naturally exfoliate and target dark spots"- those are direct quotes from their Blemish Busting Toner description. I've also seen a few other places claim that it actually naturally contains glycolic acid (not just that it has glycolic acid-type properties), although I'm not sure how effective it is at exfoliating and evening out skin tone compared to other exfoliants

Interesting!!! A brand I’ve used for years - first Korean one I discovered maybe 18+ yrs ago - changed their exfoliating powder which used to contain Papain - that exfoliates for sure - and replaced with a “strong green tea” 🤔 They swear it exfoliates better. I even joined a special zoom with them to figure out why as I’ve always known green tea as an antioxidant. They didn’t say the why just that it does. I’d love another source to confirm this.

Everyone’s skin truly is so different. I get the tight, irritated effect from using other micellar waters I’ve tried and don’t get it at all with garnier’s. My face might feel a little oily, but in more of a soothing way than a sweaty way. When I get home late and can’t be bothered to do my whole skincare routine (which includes double cleansing) garnier micellar water on its own as a makeup remover does just fine for the night. Edit: I use the blue one made for waterproof makeup. Mentioning since other comments were talking about how the types do or don’t give them that effect, and my experience of not getting it is specifically only with the blue one

The parents I know who use the spongy things send them to school with their small kids for reapplication at lunchtime or on sports days etc- teachers don't have time to sunblock everyone (even though here in NZ there's usually a litre pump tub of sunscreen available at school) and kids applying straight from a tube or bottle is chaotic, misses a lot and wasteful. Since it's for reapplication and the kids were coated first thing in the morning and hats are mandatory it's probably pretty decent. They say it works best with a relatively liquidy sunscreen. But we're talking about the sunscreens that come in 1L vats not the expensive ones in 50ml tubes.

At school or nursery adults aren't allowed to apply suncream to children so the applicators allow kids to be able to do it more easily themselves. Also people with dexterity issues would find it easy to use than rubbing it in with their hands

But when it impairs the spf that can be worse than no SPF because you think your child is well protected according to what you applied and don't use other forms of protection. I don't have children but I'm godmother to several plus worked with disabled people my whole career. I found protective clothing, suns sprays, products with a texture they like (especially important when the child is neurodiverse) and making the application both a routine thing that just happens (much like brushing teeth) and fun (who says we can't apply sunscreen while whatching Frozen or sing?) very useful. My mom found explanation very useful from toddler age. I can't remember a time when I didn't know that the sun burns me and can give me cancer which is bad, applied it under supervision by age 3 and so diligently that my mom found constant supervision no longer nessecary and my grandmother was annoyed because I explained why she used too little and didn't apply it evenly enough by age four. The bottle stood right next to the door and grabbing it and applying it was as normal as putting on my shoes before going out and as brushing my teeth before bed was. My examples obviously don't work with every child on this planet but finding a way to apply enough is safer than using a device that impairs the protection

Jodie- Girl i was thinking the same thing!!! Trying to get sunscreen on my son has forever been an event. He’s 9 and it’s still a spectacle. You’d think I was trying to put him in a death chamber or something. I’ve found the sticks are a little easier because as he’s flopping around like a fish fighting it at least it’s not as messy but I think this sponge tube thing would make it seem “fun” to him (possibly). I didn’t know sunscreen was so sensitive as far as breaking down if not in the right packaging but I don’t understand how it going through a sponge applicator would break it down but as long as it works the same from the sponge I actually kind of want to try it. As for the other reply, I’ve instilled the cancer and sun burn into my sons head but my son has the most sensitive skin I’ve ever seen and has horrible eczema that took us 8 out of his 9 years to finally get a working regimen that keeps the flare ups down and we’ve tried every sunscreen on the market and they all burn his skin so badly he will start crying within seconds of it being on. There’s a brand only carried at target that has a stick his skin can tolerate but it’s not always available and being outside all the time I don’t have a choice but to put something on him. So even though the cancer and sunburn have been drilled into his head, all he cares about is the pain and discomfort he feels in the moment and to him he’d rather deal with sun burn then the burn of the sun screen (but that’s only because he’s never actually had sunburn).

The best stuff on Amazon is Poppy Austin's retinol serum 2.5%. It zaps fine lines without irritating the skin like other retinols, and it's only about €20 for 60 ml. I've been using it for about a year now and my forehead has become baby smooth!

The solar buddies are amazing. The sunscreen gets applied in a thick layer through the roller ball. The sponge only helps spread it around. It definitely applies enough and stores well. It also allows younger kids to apply sunscreen themselves. Obviously with help with hard to reach spots. We’ve used them for full weeks at Disney World and Florida beaches with no sunburns or missed spots on my very fair skinned 5 year olds. I’ve recommended them to so many people and every one has had good experiences. I will say, it’s not clear how it works until you’ve actually used it.

I ordered Rodial's soft glow drops on Amazon after finishing my first bottle (from the retail website) with no issues. No exaggeration, the Amazon one gave me 8 cystic pimples over the course of 3 weeks -- and I only used it twice before the first one popped up. It was right before I started a new job too 😭 horrible waste of $60

My face doesn't like cerave either. I mean the hidrating facial cleanser was alright but I didn't really like it enough to buy it again. My skin is suuper dry, I think it's a combination of bad skin from both my mom and dad's sides. On my mom side, during winter we get suuuper dry skin that mixed with super strong antibacterial soap (and also antibacterial gel now) it makes my hands so dry that my hands get irritated and start bleeding out of my knuckles if I don't constantly apply cream. And because I bleed, I get tiny tiny scars that leave my hands feeling rough. Well I already had the CeraVe SA Smoothing cream, it says it's "for dry, rough, bumpy skin. 10% Urea. Exfoliates, softens and smooths rough skin while helping restore the skin barrier" IT HURT LIKE A M#$%&#^#R!!! I know now I was stupid enough to put something with acids in already angry skin, but you see all the branding and stuff like "developed by dermatologists" and I saw my hands were dry, rough and bumpy, so I thought it would be ok. It hurt so bad. I got even bumpier and rough. So yeah, my skin doesn't like CeraVe. For my dry hands, the Lipikar Moisturizer by La-Roche Posay helps, though it feels a bit too heavy and it does leave me feeling like oily and icky. But THE ABSOLUTE BEST for my hands has been O'Keefe's Working Hands Cream, I try not to let it get that bad, but when I can't help it (like during the pandemic that I had to go to a mall and they made you use antibacterial gel at every store you entered) this one is the best moisturizer for that. The tub version is better than the other one that's more like a lotion though

I have dry, sensitive skin with rosecea, and I love the Cerave SA cleanser on my face and body (especially the bumpy skin on my upper arms) I use it daily with no problems. It causes no dryness or irritation at all. Same with Garnier Micellar water, it's my "I'm too tired to do my whole skincare routine" product, and I leave it on my skin overnight with no problems. Everyone's different :D

True the Inkey list salicylic face wash is really good, I’ve had their bottle for over a year and still have lots left you only need the smallest amount on the t zone mainly, the Cerave one feels similar at first but as you rub is more foamy and leaves the skin stripped and tight.

James, I don't know if its just me BUT... The Cerave SA is really good, but I can understand why you say its really drying. I've tried it and I can you that there is a difference between the US formulation and the EU. I don't know what is about, but from the ingredients list- they are almost identical but the US has corn oil (lol they put corn oil/ syrup in EVERYTHING)- and it does make the whole difference. The US one is also much more silky smooth and not as harsh and drying as the EU formulation. But yes, if something is not working for the face- just use it on the body.

I don't use makeup wipes but I can see using the individually wrapped ones to toss a single into a purse. Purses get full very quickly if you have packages of things or the full sized hand cream (e.g. the videos that go on about how this 500ml bottle of cream is WAY cheaper per ml than their hand cream and the ingredients are similar...sure but way easier to toss the 30-60ml product in my purse)
