Federal judges can only be removed through impeachment by the House of Representatives and conviction in the Senate. Federal Judges and justices serve no fixed term. They serve until their death, retirement, or conviction by the Senate. Therefore impeachment would require bipartisanship which is unlikely to happen because of the ReTrumpliCon cult presence in Congress that already exists.

It's not a conflict of interest. A former POTUS has been charged with criminal activities in 4 jurisdictions. One of those indictments is in Cannons district, her name was drawn for this case. it is. but compared to everything else tfg has and is doing that conflicts with our democracy and the rule of law, no one seems to have the time or energy to confront this blatant conflict. as soon as her name was drawn they should have skipped to the next name. her name should not actually have been entered into the draw on a complex, high-profile, extremely important, historic case like this in the first place. she has virtually no experience presiding over ANY trial of any sort. it's like allowing a 1st year intern to do open heart surgery solo. if she had the potential to, in the future, become a knowlegable, ethical, savvy courtroom judge some day, she would have recused herself from this epic case for all of those reasons.

I just had to tell my neighbors that the FBI was authorized to use deadly force the day they were issued guns and badges. Somehow, they seem confused about how the Police work.

Attack on the rule of law? And the people making the attack are the legislators-the law makers. Think of the ramifications of such behaviors for the country going forward. Obscene!

Multiple separate grand juries of ordinary citizens found that a crime most likely occurred in all separate cases. There are two issues here with Cannon. One is that she has the unenviable distinction of being the first judge ever to handle a case of this precedent and enormity, so no one can say that another judge might have handled this case any better, as far as the huge volume of documents she has to deal with and the endless evidential hearings and motions. The other issue is that Cannon has bent over backwards for Dump, accommodating him at almost every level with his delay requests, despite being chastised by the Circuit Court of Appeals. It doesn't win her much sympathy.

Why not have a different judge file equitable jurisdiction over Cannon?

DJT: Is the "HUB" He charges the spokes around him to do his bloody dirty business.

If she can´t handle a case of this size, she should excuse herself and get a more experienced judge on it. Like in a normal job, you can´t just postpone your work, because it is hard... What if everybody chose that solution? 😂

Regarding Allen Weisselberg never taking the stand: the defense could have called him. The prosecution couldn't have kept him out, but then the defense would have had another witness as bad as Robert Costello, or worse. Weisselberg is sitting in prison for perjury. Prosecutors would have torn him apart.

I served as an assistant to a public prosecutor. What amazed me when I first went in, It's the theory was to throw everything against the wall and see what sticks. Several times I dismissed cases And the senior prosecutor overrode my decision and refiled the cases.

The criticism of Cannon is not only over speed, that is a complete mischaracterization. If Cevallos hasn't been following the case, he should not be on screen talking about it. For a start, she, for no legal reason, intervened in the investigation leading up to this case. That is unprecedented and brazen. She appointed a special master in bad faith, demonstrating bias and naked partisanship. Her failure to recuse herself from the trial is, therefore, utterly outrageous and creates the appearance of impropriety. The FACT of impropriety has been shown, beyond reasonable doubt, by her subsequent conduct Failing to make even basic decisions for months, then making terrible ones, things a first year law student would get right, she has then taken months to walk them back - that's not incompetence, carefulness or "slowness", it is deliberate, malicious delay.

Then this case gets overtured on appeal. He's been vetted more than any other President in American History. Millions of documents. He's been at it since the 80's. Everyone knows Trump. Fun fact: he didn't do it WHEN he was president. He could have DECIDED then, but if X (non nuclear related - he couldn't decide alone about those) is declassified by a President, then the document itself undergo or enter declassification procedures. These are executed by other people, but they are part *when declassification really happened*. There's is no such thing as 'NOW that I'm not President, I say I declassified them when I was President, but I made it all INSIDE MY HEAD & NO ONE ELSE EVER KNEW, and there is no evidence FROM THAT TIME that I ordered those documents to be declassified.'
