Veronna. Great to see you on here. Best of luck. A little feedback which I rarely give. COVID, charismatic voice, Julia nilon, and so on, have increased the knowledge base of the channel surfers compared to, let’s say 2021. Assume your viewers know what a mixed voice, belt, etc is already. I don’t sing but those OGs are so good at teaching, it’s not necessary anymore. Unique insights, in and out in 10 mins. It’s either that or be a pure reactor, which is fun too. I wouldn’t give it, but I want you to succeed. I fast forwarded thru 90% of your comments. The pop singing insight was cool, the rest felt like 2021. Do what you will with this.

In studio Kevin (the tall one) does the harsh vocals, Nico the cleans, live they both do both styles though which is cool. I imagine a reaction to a live Electric Callboy video would give you a fair bit to dissect, something from the past year or 2. Great analysis, enjoyed the in depth approach to cleans which is usually overshadowed by the harsh vocals in heavy music, getting both sides of the coin from this channel is really making it into something special

When they play live, they do all the layering together. Nico will do the clean vocals and Kevin will do lower harmony or subtle screams underneath. And when Kevin is doing the scream, Nico will layer the higher pitch scream on to it or clean vocals behind it. And honestly, I think they sound way better live. They use production in their tracks obviously, but they can more than pull it off on stage.

They sound incredible live, especially because the clean singer (Nico) also screams and the unclean singer (Kevin) also does backing cleans. Definitely would be interested in hearing you and Mark do one of their live performances to talk about how both aspects translate to live - thankfully the band has a bunch of high quality live performances on their channel (big ups to their sound guy Bollo). Anything from their 2023 Tekkno tour except fkboi (not much harsh vocals) would be great :)

7:50 something which some of us noticed, they use the studio audio in MVs, sometimes even 'dubbed/synced' over live performance videos, so it is counted in the music charts as digital listens/views. 11:16 You might want to check out Babymetal as well, she is a very precise singer. Can I suggest: Babymetal Akatsuki Budokan Black Night 2014. She was 16 years old there. In a lot of other songs she also dances.

Definitely recommend a live reaction (with Mark!), particularly one from 2024, because I can say after watching hours of live footage and seeing them in person twice, they have gotten better and better over time. Nico's voice is spot on live, maybe with slightly more twang than in studio. And Kevin has recently expanded on the variety of his harsh vocal techniques on stage, adding in some goblin-y stuff and some really killer low growls, so I would argue he sounds better live than in the studio. Their more recent 2024 live stuff also has Kevin's microphone turned up enough that we can hear his clean harmonies much better, and they are quite good! The compliment Nico very well. I would love to get your take on Nico's vocal technique live. His breath support is insane given how much he jumps around and dances on stage. And he does A LOT of harsh vocals to support Kevin. It's quite impressive how quickly he can switch back and forth between the two.

I don't think in the breakdown or false breakdown (is this the correct term ? ) only sings Nico (the clean vocalist), they are singing both. "Everytime we touch" clean from Nico - "nooo" harsh from Kevin (the harsh vocalist). In my opinion one of the best part of the song. Very clever song writing. Live they support eachother more.
