I've watched 100 reviews/desk set up videos while trying to figure out my new home office, and this is how you review a product. Great job Elevated Systems. Subscribed.
Love your content man! You're quickly becoming one of my favorite tech tubers :)
Great review! Also, I'm really digging that shirt! 😆
Thanks for covering this, recently saw it decent price and was an easy grab.
Thank you very much for the detailed, crisp, and enlightening video about Screenbar.
Freakin amazing review! Very thorough and thoughtful.
The logo intro with the music is insane 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
Great video. Just picked one up.
This is pretty cool looking!
I've been using a "screen bar" DIY light for years now.. yeah, it really helps reduce eye strain.
Appreciated the frankness and not influenced by the supplier. Agreed the price is too steep for what the product offers. When it is advertised to a certain spec, it should be at least equal or exceed the specification. Its not a beauty contest, it has to deliver the purpose and effectiveness.
Love your review! Wondering what laptop stand do you use? I noticed it in this video and it looks great for your setup.
Great review, however at 3:36 you have got your cools and warms the other way round. 2700k = warm, 6500k = cool 🙌🏻
Excellent video, kudos
Even though I love the concept, 180 dollars for a lamp is a deal breaker for me

Yeah the Halo version is definitely pricey, but it’s a “premium” product. Just by nature of being a computer accessory designed for productivity, it’s already in a very niche, techy tier product. The design is nothing short of fantastic, and the price is really the only thing that I dislike about it.

@@Terrible_Peril productivity is far from being a niche, it's where the money is right now
Very nice!
Came here for the review so thank you for that. I have a quick question about your setup. The wall paneling you have fitted, where can I find it? Is it acoustic dampening?
Your review is very detailed! Probably the most useful review I’ve came across so far for this product. By the way, is the auto light not able to reach 500 lux very noticeable? Also, compared to the plus version, is the design/material in real life feel/look better? I really really like the plus version’s knob(the remote control?) despite not being wireless. It looks very unique and luxurious imo. However, given that it’s only about 50usd more to buy a newer and supposedly better product, I think it’s ok to just spend a few bucks. But if it’s not really better(in terms of lighting and design -the backlight doesn’t matter for me anyway as I have led strip light), I’d probably just get the plus version.
What is the keyboard you used for editing with the dial?
Your channel name is Insane!
I need an automatic brightness adjustment depending on what is happening on the screen.
Can it be powered from monitor?
Can this attach to a lg oled as they are super thin
I have the cheaper on I bought last week and I LOVE it! As I often use my computer in low light condition it's made a big difference on eye strain.

BenQ logo make more profit
I just got my halo and the Design of the remotecontrol got changed: the icons are white now
"You are not buying this to put on your $200 monitor to light up your $30 keyboard" sounds oddly accurate and funny at the same time, LOL.
Companies are now sending you products? Looks like you made it!
Sadly Xiaomi has had a more competetive version of a light bar for years now.. and for only 50$ (converted from Euro). It sadly has the same control for warmth/intensity, has the wireless knob to put anywhere and anything you might need from a "LAMP".. I don't know who in their right mind would spend 180$ for this

do u have recommend xiamoi's product type for 27inch back rounded monitor?
I have the xiaomi lightbar and for the price, I think it is a better purchase. The BenQ cost more than 2 times and does not offer so much more.
anybody know how long the batteries last in the controller?

Wait a second @ 9:00 you said you would like to control each light independently, but can't you just set the back light instead of the front light to favorites (for example) to only turn on when you want to?
@OLuvin
Жыл бұрын
Nope. That’s wrong. You can control both lights independently. This person missed that
@DontFuckWitDreDay

@@OLuvin Sounds good. I bought it and ended up getting rid of it since I had it. The annoying part is that this remote takes WAY to long to react. I rather have a button. I wish Benq didn't go wireless. The backlight was nice though but still wish the remote wasn't slow to turn on any light.
@EasyMoneySG

@@OLuvin No, if they are both on, you cant dim the front, and brighten the rear.
I'm particularly interested in the 'Real-time Auto Dimming' feature. I appreciate not having to constantly adjust the lighting manually based on my surroundings. For those who have experience using this auto ambient dimming feature, does it really work? Have you ever had to make manual adjustments once in a while or not?

Stop touching yourself, LOL.
Why does Benq's monitor designers ignore the built-in cameras of many monitors (especially Apple Studio Display)? Look at the camera placement on many monitors and modify the clamp to accommodate those cameras. The light bars design also lacks imagination and function to actually limit and direct the illuminated areas.
Yep, but this device hide my webcam on Apple Display in center. So if this so premium for Mac, why they didn't design to support Apple display.
@ElevatedSystems

Because it was released before the Apple Display existed.
God for this price i can get a xiaomi lightbar or any other, plus led strips plus some acoustic panels plus philips hue lights or whatever. The price is simply ridiculous. For 180 dollar you get a remote with unreadable signs on it and a simple "white" backlight. wow.
I just got one of these. Its just dumb. the rear light is too dim on the brightest setting. the light bar is too bright on its dimmest setting. You cant control them independently when they are both on. Junk.
Wish it didn’t use batteries
Try other product for 70% off the price and does the same job when it comes to asymmetric lighting
what the heck is lux
That light in the back is just so stupid, thanks for increasing the price of the product by at least 10$ for no reason/use whatsoever.

This guy has to be trolling the light in the back is the light up the wall behind your monitor so that you're looking at an evenly lit space rather than having the bright monitor with the dark background. I took LED strips and put them on the back of my monitor just to fix this problem however having a light on top that you can shine down on your desk would be useful sometimes especially when I don't want to turn on the monitor.
why even get a lightbar? my monitor is already bright....

I went with the Xiaomi MI and it’s only $64, has a wireless controller, and is brighter than this “Halo” BS. Almost $200 for a light is outrageous. As a licensed electrician I can tell u that there aren’t many models of LED fixtures that cost that much, especially at this size. 👎🏼 I can always appreciate a no-shill honest review. Earned a sub!!

Tried Xiaomi's lamp, it causes glare on the display. It has a bad mount. Also, Halo doesn't compete with Xiaomi, Benq has cheaper lamps. It's decent value if it fits your display well.
I mean, I have it on my $1500 monitor, lighting up my $150 keyboard lol...
