I’m surprised you didn’t mention that the button lock is for closing only. You can’t use it to open the knife. This could be a positive or negative depending on your preferences. I prefer it this way because it feels more secure when closed (it uses a separate ball detent to hold it closed).

@@baldemargarcia6341 This knife is designed to do just that, so there's no talk of solving or not solving, only why it's designed that way. Our original intention was to be safer to carry around. The design may be improved afterward, that is safe and openable, but the design is currently being tested.

@@remetterhino make it a 3.5" blade while you;re at it and fix the front flipper. Looks like a great knife but that's a poor "design feature" about the button-lock. This isn't a knife for children, we don't need (or want) nanny-culture "safety" features that hinder the use of our knives.

I just got this knife. Stellar quality. I have no issues with button lock releasing the blade. Also front flipper works great. Thumb studs are very nice also. I love this thing so much i just bought another one for a Christmas gift. Great video. Excellent knife.

I agree on the tumbstuds. Just a bit bigger makes it so easy to open the knife

Kershaw Blur has the best thumb studs, very comfortable.

Nice review brother. Where you aware this has a detent ball on the liner holding closed? The blade won't drop out with the button depressed and it kind of acts like a traditional detent. Really cool twist 👍

That's how a lot of plunge style button locks work. It pushes the liner lock over instead of your finger.

Is it just me or did he miss the cooest part of this knife, which is its a button actuated liner lock. Kinda like the spyderco smock. This knife is so fidget friendly because of the way the lock works it drops closed so satisfyingly and no button stick. Also this is the version 1 they have a 2nd version which I think is because the first one u couldn't use the button to open the knife. The version 2 had a different cut out around the button that's the only way u can tell I think.

Turns out it wasn't lock stick. The detent was way too strong. I adjusted the detent with a little bending of the bar/lever and hit it right on the nose the first shot. Knife now performs beautifully. The front flipper is a little awkard with "notches" in the liner behind the blade pivot, but the thumb studs work great. Decided to keep it after all.

Never even mentioned that the button lock has a detent ball. 🤷

Just received mine after a month from Amazon and it has terrible lock stickl. It's going back to Amazon. I loved the looks and construction looks very nice, but the lock stick isn't worth fooling with. No way I can thumb stud or top flip it. Button is in serious bind. I have two other Remettes that are awesome.
