This is A Great 7 Inch IPS Touchscreen For The Raspberry Pi 4

Ойындар

In this video, we take a look at a really nice 7 inch IPS Touchscreen display for the Raspberry Pi,
The Pi4 mounts to the back of the display and is connected over HDMI plus this screen has built-in speakers! With a resolution of 1024x600 it’s not the highest resolution but this works very well and will allow you to create a portable Raspberry pi4 if you add a battery pack.

The USB plug that offers touch actually powers the unit as well (5v red pin/black pin, touch is the green/yellow wires). The GPIO power cable is redundant and NOT needed to power the screen. You only need that USB plug, and the HDMI ribbon cable. This frees up your GPIO for an ICE cooler running at 5v.

I have this screen, love it! I've been using it for about the last 6 months and it's been flawless so far :) One difference from the one you show and the one I have (you may have a more recent model) is the small "touch to Pi" lead that you have wasn't included. Instead, they sent a short 3" Type A to MicroUSB cable which sticks out from the side connector of the monitor, so it's not quite as compact as the setup you have here. Just an FYI.

I have the same screen and a Pi 3B on it. You can change the volume if you press + and brightness via -. The touch screen works out of the box, but only the left mouse button. This requires one USB 2.0 port, so 3 ports remain open. The native resolution should always be set as the resolution. If you switch off the screen, the Pi continues to run. The power supply that came with my screen was unstable. So I exchanged it.

I've tried Lineage 17.1 Android and the resolution offered in the OS just doesn't work well when I force it to Portrait mode. Wondering if the performance would be better given you said this screen is able to convert the HDMI resolution at the hardware level to support Portrait Mode. I bought a very similar monitor to this, but it has a wheel for brightness and volume which is really nice and simple. But the resolution is just too low (especially with onscreen text and icons), and the aspect ratio is bad for a lot of modern content. Playstation 4 games only take up the middle 60% of the screen. I'm going to sell this one and get a 1280x800 screen.

Does the screen turn on when it is powered or do you need to physically press the power button? Planning on mounting the display so button may not be available after installation.

I wonder how hard it would be to get a USB hub and battery pack mounted to the back using the two vacant screw holes on the top (or just replace the feet entirely and use the bottom screw holes)

Hey ETA Prime. I got a game that I want to suggest that you add to the list of android games you use to test these Android devices. Genshin Impact. It comes out in 2 weeks, uses the Unity Engine, and is god damn gorgeous. It's also freeeeeee.

Are there any screens that can be used in the vertical position where the border of the screen is even all the way around and not wider in the bottom?

Would it possible to mount a POE+ hat too to this setup? If that's possible it could be used as the first display [in gallery view] as a Zoom drone in a live switcher/vision mixer [where the second HDMI display output is a guest pinned as an input to the switcher/mixer].

Hi there. Do you know where I can find the speaker plug in sockets. My screen came with cable just soldered onto the board I’d like to add then for ease of use. Thank you.

I know this is a year old video, but I've been seeing this screen pop up as an option to use with Windows. I'm looking to run Windows on Pi and get a small screen with touch for a small and portable project. Is there any chance these features work with the Windows/Pi combo?

Hey ETA, I'm just wondering whether the pi android runs zoom ? Not box 86, but Android version for Pi, and how it performs, I'm wondering how good this is for a simple meeting client?

Is there a part I can order to connect the touchscreen touch output to the Raspberry Pi 4 without extending past the bezel very far? The link posted with the video shows a standard USB cable (included) for connecting the touch output instead of the special USB adapter shown in the video that plugs into a 4-pin connector on the display board. I'm looking for something like shown in the video. I would like to put the display and the Raspberry Pi into a small enclosure and there is not much room past the screen borders.
