    The music is loud but the presenter is also fairly soft spoken and not always speaking toward the mic it seems. I like the video but would appreciate more though out in to the audibility as I'm a little hard of hearing in the first place.

    Good comparrison re:lag. The little 1.6 ecobeast doesn't drive anything like turbo cars of the 80's and 90's of much bigger displacement. The cooler looks great. You shouldn't see much heat soak from intake temps now.

    For gluing those mounting points back on, use some Q-Bond. Absolutely amazing stuff. You can then sand it down and spray it/use a touch up pen to match 👍👍

    I realised later but didn't mention it that every tab was snapped. I done a quick fix with screws but will probably bind the part to the bumper.

    Thanks. I plan on building new doors and sealing the drive at some point. But I have thought of draft strips on the bottom so may put some on as I'm pretty slow at getting jobs done unless it's on the car😉

    Spark Plug Steve you should see my back garden I’ve been working on it for months now and it still looks like I’ve done nothing! The rain hasn’t helped and the scaffolders left up the scaffolding for 3 weeks which hasn’t helped as it was dry those 3 weeks lol

    Can't find the post again on Facebook where someone asked about them splitting. Seen your comment and link about flow and pressure behind hampers flow and cooling efficiency,, can't help thinking the same is happening to the radiator itself with the massive fan shroud.. days of old mainly just used to use a fan on the rad and no shrouds. I'm thinking of maybe cutting away some shroud,, but many seem to upgrade the radiators but that's a bit of an expense

    State boy here, I'm looking at running the RS bumper cover conversion and I believe that model intercooler.. Pumaspeed lists that one with a crash bar as well. Any idea if the crash bar actually relocates itself further forward in comparison with the factory Euro spec?

    Watching again as I just bought an Intercooler. I almost got the 400 Gen 2 under your code but something else came up on sale. Why did you end up choosing Pumaspeed 2r? Did you drive any other cars with different brand remaps?

    I’d personally get shot of that bumper, nothing beats oem quality. Nothing worse than a crappy fibreglass one. Love the channel though 👍🏼👍🏼

    From an aesthetic perspective do you think intercoolers look better black on the St180? Or is it more so a case of that you don't care about the look because unpainted intercoolers are more efficient?

    @@Sparkplugsteve Same here the silver behind the black honey comb grill doesnt work for me. Apparently a basic spray painted black intercooler doesnt really lose noticeable efficiency, so I'll probably do that. even though I'm in Australia and our temps are higher here.

    Its makes sense if you think about it. The internal volume of de intercooler increases more theb 100%. So for the turbo the produce the same amount of boost it needs to pressure up that increased volume... takes x amount of time =/= increased lag.

    Will it affect the cooling of the engine radiator? I take it it has intercooler in front then aircon rad then radiator? Great video Steve it looks great from the front now 👍

    It may have some effect but loads of big power fiestas are running big intercooler so should be ok. Time will tell.

    The fiesta doesn't need that much induction cooling, it's far too big even with hybrid charger. Some don't realise bigger isn't better.

    @@Sparkplugsteve maybe look at where your air intake is picking up its air, lagging of the intake pipes and turbo to cut down on heat sink from under bonnet temps. Looks naff but bonnet hinge risers to aid for under bonnet cooling. Iv experienced more laggy from larger intercoolers back when I had rs turbo escorts.

    Excellent video Steve. You won't have any heat soak now, just maximum power lap after lap! Just one thing - I wouldn't trust those jubilee clips on boost hoses, in my experience they never stay tight, put some stainless steel T bolt clamps on there next time the bumper is off. Gets a thumbs up from me.:-)

    I will be very surprised if you will need the water spray with the new intercooler, I've been running one pretty much since they released it and even in those 40 degree days I had no issues and the lag issue you've found I don't get with my x47r

    I'm not an expert on it but potentially there could be a power gain I guess if the I take temps are colder. But the reason for my swap was exactly what you said.

    Enjoy the videos Steve. Keep up with the content. However, cant agree with the choice of cooler here. Its an 'ebay' core with fabricated end tanks to suit. Whilst it will certainly do a job, its thermal efficency is terrible. Ive seen several back to back tests of ebay cores measuring pre and post IAT's along with boost pressure drops against other brands and it performed terrible. Im happy to be prooven wrong with some proven logged evidence however. Keep up the good work mate

    Big wayne from trealaw can weld that cracked ali tab back on the old intercooler.he does all my tig welding for me and dont take piss on prices for ali or stainless welding he does 👍

Why dont you use a hole saw behind number plate for more air flow on intercooler as you can take number plate off the front for track days.worked a treat on my old super charged golf years ago with the custom intercooler that i designed that allards made me from monmouth .. center of cooler will get air behind number plate then ??
