You’re a gigantic bully my man I’ve looked at your past videos and all you do is blow shit out of proportion to make everything seem bigger than it is. You’re rant about the guy sending you 3 emails and you tearing him apart is absolutely ridiculous. You’re not the final say in games but you act like you are. If you haven’t taken the time to develop games yourself then you shouldn’t be as critical as you are. Be better man. Coming from a former fan who left because of the toxic approach to games.

I would suggest to him that he should get more than three hours sleep per night. Then he might be more productive and not need to do 15 hour dev shifts. I'm a software developer and my coding and problem solving goes to shit if I have too little sleep. Those extra hours of work aren't worth it, because I often have to redo everything the next morning anyway because I was too tired when I tried to work.

Seriously, have a stable working alpha (not pre-alpha) build then start asking for funding through various means. Devs these days just have the bare minimum effort for their pre-alpha build of a game to be used as a quick buck. Back when I tried to develop a game, if it never looked right or I didn't have a clear vision, I'd abandon the project all together, because it's not worth selling an unfinished game. This was after 2 years of development and I never thought it was a waste of my time or effort since you can learn from past mistakes. Experience is worth more than any kind of wealth.

Also if you compare it to anything else out there, what would it be? What I seen here isn't something I would do.. and I'm not even a game dev.

Most of these losers don't know this, they have been lied to all their lives by parents and teachers and believe the hype they've created for themselves and just can't take reality when it is finally thrown in their face by someone who couldn't care less about them or their feelings or their time.

You can do early access, it's a great way to get a feel product out to people to keep them engaged while you prioritize other developments they think is important. The problem is most developers don't understand early access isn't "pay for my demo and I'll fuck off into the sunset". I've seen this product on Twitch the other night and it's exactly like a clone of DayZ but with snow. They have the ability to make this better but they'd rather sink their boat before launching off the dock. All because they can't take some criticism. BigFry might be an ass sometimes, but people forget he gets this stuff all the time so he doesn't want to bother with it.

I'm no game developer, but I aspire to make an RTS type of game in the vein of old school CnC years down the line when I actually get more experience. But even I know that a game demo should be an opportunity to show what my game is about. All the best features and mechanics. In terms of RTS, usually 3-4 missions showing different aspects of my RTS game. Not invisible walls and a campfire. If the demo cannot grab the interest of a player, then it is not a good demo.

@@MrMightyZ Totally agree, this comment should have more likes. A lot of the stuff the Fry dude says is just unnecessary. It's one thing giving honest, valuable, feedback (that people may not like to hear), it's another thing to just act like a dicc and berate people anonymously on the internet. Quite frankly, I think both the Fry guy and the dev handled it poorly, at least once the dev went on a drunk rant. What can you honestly expect for 6500 dollar budget and a one man team? I've been in game development as a personal hobby and it's not always so simple and easy. Like sieving through lines of code to find your dyslexic error. Not even arguing that the game looks good or bad but all the slander and shjt talk is just unnecessary. This guy said in another video that he's "just really passionate about this". Fair enough, but there's no excuse for being a bully online because you're passionate about playing games. There's a difference between constructive criticism that a fellow dev can provide to another (I don't know if this guy is a dev or just a consumer), and there's of course value a consumer can add to a dev team. I kind of fail to see the constructive criticism and instead just see venting and slander. I even feel kind of bad for the dev, big fan of the channel, wants to show his hard work and just gets insulted and literally told how much a POS it is. Kind of fcked up if you ask me. I Don't think I'll care to watch this channel anymore. I thought this was about indie game reviews, not public roasts of people? Glad I'm not the only one who sees this.

I hate how the rain on the screen just loops rather then changes, that one drop on the middle right would piss me right off after 2 minutes.

Hey @BigFryTV. I saw a tactical shooter (top down perspective) on steam. It's called "Thunder Tier One". On the steamstore page it says you can participate in a playtest. I don't know if you like that type of shooter, but I thought maybe you would take a look at it.

TBH i think the DM devs have learned their lesson now and are working on it. It can't get any worse for them. But what is wrong with all these other devs using DM's failure to proof that they can do what is almost impossible to do.
