I think that is guaranteed, there is so much to see not just in Belfast but Northern Ireland as a whole...what better way than combining a visit with a footy game or two!

Thanks for the coverage of my local league sam the effort you put into promoting Scottish football and now your small coverage of the Irish league aswel doesn't not go unnoticed and its widely appreciated 😊 hope you had a nice stay in ulster we are the nicest people in the world over here wee bit mental when it comes to the drink but I'm sure your used to that with living in Scotland 😅 glad you enjoyed a game at my teams ground im a glen man and have to admit our stadium could really do with some TLC but on the other hand I reckon it adds to the character there's not many old traditional grounds left nowadays in Britain slowly but surely they are being left for somewhat new and modern grounds which if im honest im not really keen on can't beat old school in my opinion safe journey home and i hope to bump into you sometime when your next over never no it could well be at a glens match 💙

It's a shame the WW2 pill box inside Elgin City's ground, Borough Briggs, was removed a few years ago. That would have been worth seeing.

The Oval is a museum of what football was like in the 80s Pre-Taylor Report. It is a shame that it probably won't last for many more years.

A tenner for a bottle of pop, the worlds gone mad lol. Ground looks ace though, might have to add it to the list.

At the Oval in the 60s & 70s the ground was full, we had great teams at the Oval. The year Utd beat Benfica in the European Cup Final, we drew 1-1 at the Oval and 0-0 in the Stadium of Light got knocked out on Away goals. We had many great European Nights back then even into the 80s to say Irish League Football is better than ever is nonsense. Only games against Linfield do you get any atmosphere.

I really enjoyed your non-matchday video at The Oval a while back and it was nice to see the place hosting a match. You made good use of your "access tabard" and the two interviews with the managers were excellent, just like watching Match Of The Day ... lol !

It's true what David Jeffery said, its proper, hard football. I've been a few times to NI to watch matches, it's great over there..... The Oval is top of my to do list, not only in NI but anywhere in the world. Top video (again)!

How derby games should be for all local teams on boxing day . Noone wants travel 150 mile to an away game day after christmas

@@FootyAdventures That would be great man! Club is in some big trouble at the moment. The transition to new ownership is taking a long time, the team on the field is performing real poorly and due to a conflict with the owners of the GelreDome we might not have a stadium next year. Real scary times and really keeps you up at night. But I try to stay positive and support the team as much as I can. If you’re ever at a game I would love to show you around. There are a lot of guys in Arnhem that would love to have you over some time.

There is no doubting that the Oval is an iconic ground with plenty of history on and off the pitch but there is simply no getting away from the fact that it is now a decrepit, rundown and crumbling ruin of a place. It may have history but it is possibly the worst away ground in the Irish League, for a number of reasons. The product on show in the Irish League is getting better but looking around last night, I'm sure you seen that there is still a long way to go but Rome wasn't built in a day, however, sometimes people don't live in the real world.

Unfortunate that you weren’t able to get over to a game when we were challenging for the title until we imploded. Hope you enjoyed the Oval 👍👍👍

this was an awful game because of the distance between stadiums their was no atmosphere come to boxing day Linfieldn vs glentoran it will be a far better atmosphere.
